Finding Calm in Atlanta
Forget sterile, soulless hostels. As Atlanta’s lone hostel, our stay at eKstasis Hostel + Urban Farm was nothing short of interesting. When we first arrived, we found ourselves among a mix of travelers drawn to the hostel’s unique atmosphere. Whether you’re seeking solace after a day of exploring Atlanta’s bustling streets or an opportunity to connect with fellow adventurers, you’re surely going to enjoy your night at eKstasis.

Major attractions like the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, College Football Hall of Fame, and CNN Center are within a quick train ride. Meanwhile, the neighborhood itself boasts numerous restaurants to satisfy any craving.

Spacious comfort and good night’s sleep
At eKstasis Hostel, you’ll find a unique blend of modern convenience, communal spirit, and a dash of thoughtfulness. We’ve had countless communal living experiences before, and bunk-bed nightmares are the worst. Thankfully, eKstasis’ dorms are bright, spacious, and meticulously clean. Each female-only and mixed dorm boasts a cozy seating area, perfect for curling up with a book or chatting with fellow travelers. Also, no more working on the bed! During our stay, we were able to get our digital hustle on as our dorm featured a work-friendly desk right in front of the window. It was honestly the best spot to get things done.
The twin-sized beds are perfectly sized for solo snoozing. Trust us, after a day of exploring Atlanta, you’ll sink into these beds like butter. Furthermore, the air-con kept things cool throughout our stay, which was also one of the main reasons we always slept well. Also worth mentioning are the HEPA filters that ensure clean air. Best of all, we can always rely on the coffee machine to deliver that sweet morning pick-me-up.

Shower situation solved
Now, let’s talk showers. It may often be overlooked, but for us, a good shower situation can either make or break a hostel stay. It’s hard to compare our experience at this hostel since it’s the only hostel, and there are no other cheap hostels in Atlanta, Georgia. But compared to our past hostel experiences, we really liked the bathroom here. The dorm we stayed in had its own bathroom, so we never had to battle for morning showers. It was a major plus for efficiency. We also loved how clean the bathroom was! However, since the bathroom was shared with everyone else in the dorm, we still needed to coordinate with our bunkmates. Thankfully, they were cool and friendly, so it wasn’t a problem.
Aside from that, there’s an additional half bath outside the dorm, shared with the whole hostel. This is great for when the dorm bathroom is occupied, or you just need a quick pit stop.

Cooking, connecting, and convenience
This hostel is more than just beds. The fully equipped, shared kitchen lets you whip up your own meals, fostering a sense of togetherness. We loved using the kitchen as it helped us save some cash compared to eating out every night. The common areas are an extension of this welcoming vibe, with a comfy living room for movie nights, a sunny terrace for catching rays, and a designated workspace for remote nomads. Whether you need a caffeine fix or a soothing herbal tea, the self-serve coffee and tea station has you covered.
Another thing that made our stay convenient was the laundry facilities. No more scrambling for laundromats! It takes the hassle out of keeping your clothes clean and ready for adventure. This is especially handy for long-term stays or backpackers on the go.

The spirit of community
eKstasis isn’t all about quiet contemplation. The hostel regularly hosts lively gatherings, often taking place in the designated picnic area. While we were there, we had the chance to witness incredible fire-dancing performances. You can also expect pulsating dance parties or enjoy good company around a crackling bonfire. Firepits also dot the property, inviting you to roast marshmallows under the starry sky. BBQ grills are at your disposal for whipping up delicious meals, and comfy hammocks provide the perfect spot to sway the afternoon away.
“Our stay at eKstasis was everything we could ever wish for. It was the perfect spot to relax and other like-minded travelers.”
