Kicking off this list is Villa Kraus, one of the most charming villas in Fiesole, for a relaxing getaway. This place is not the most luxurious, but it has a unique vintage charm to it. With a private garden, this villa invites you to unwind and reconnect with nature. One of our favorite spots, though, was the charming living area. With a fireplace and a cozy seating area, minutes would turn into hours in a blink of an eye whenever we were there. In addition to that, we loved how housekeeping was always available upon request, making our stay comfortable and hassle-free.

After a day of exploring everything Fiesole has to offer, we would go back to the villa and soak in the spa tub. This is honestly a nice addition since there’s no swimming pool on site. Perfect for a group of eight, the property has five bedrooms, some with a twin bed. Each of them is clean, spacious, and equipped with a coffee maker for that extra morning touch. This villa is truly a gem. It’s definitely worth your consideration with the perfect combination of modern amenities, a relaxing atmosphere, and a private garden.

Only a short walk from the heart of Fiesole, this recently renovated Tuscan-style villa offers a slice of paradise for those seeking an authentic Italian retreat. We still vividly remember the beauty of this villa. Lush greenery surrounds the property, with a private garden waiting for travelers. During our stay, we were able to have al fresco dining under the Tuscan sun, savor grilled delicacies on the BBQ, and enjoy the serenity of the olive grove. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

The villa itself is a symphony of old-world charm and modern comfort. Spread across two levels, we had everything we needed. We particularly loved gathering in the cozy living room with a fireplace that gave us evenings of warmth and laughter. The property has three bedrooms, but for the experience, you should sleep in the attic master bedroom. Imagine waking up to stunning views of the Fiesole hills!

Quiet Mind Retreat Villa Florence

Most Luxurious. If you want to go all out and feel like queens and kings, look no further than Quiet Mind Retreat Villa Florence. This magnificent villa, once the home of famed Italian artist Renato Guttoso, boasts modern history and classic beauty. As we ascended the Italian marble staircase, we were captivated by the dreamlike atmosphere. The property has three floors, and each boasts views of Florence. The warm mahogany interiors and custom Borocco furnishings gave us this regal ambiance when we first arrived. And when we explored the bedrooms, our jaws dropped. With gold accents and luxurious amenities, they’re havens for rejuvenation. However, what’s most amazing about this villa is its extra amenities.

Believe it or not, this villa has a meditation room with plush cushions and soft candlelight. Though we didn’t meditate, it was nice knowing that guests could find tranquility there. We would head to the garden and do early morning yoga. And for some competitions, we would play ping pong together. Are you a gym rat? Lucky for you, there’s an in-house gym, too! Have we told you that upon our arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of Chianti wine, Bialetti coffee pods, and local pasta? Talk about hospitality!

Villa Claudia

Villa Claudia managed to steal our hearts with its gorgeous views of Florence. However, nestled amidst the Fiesolee hills, it offers way more than charming views. Inside the villa, you’ll find three elegant bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom to ensure privacy and tranquility. There were five of us, and this villa had more than enough space for us. We were thrilled when we found there were two generously sized living spaces – one warmed by a crackling fireplace. And when we were hungry, we would just make something in the sleek kitchen.

Once we stepped outside, we would be embraced by the private terraced garden, one of our go-to relaxing spots. We’re sure you’ll love soaking in the sunshine on the plush lounger. In the evening, we loved to gather for al fresco feasts beneath the Tuscan sky. But before that, we had to take a refreshing dip in the pool. It was a delightful surprise hidden amidst the greenery.

Villa Luisella

Most Comfortable. Up next is Villa Luisella, another favorite of ours. The location of this villa is truly hard to beat. Staying here allowed us to savor the tranquility of the Tuscan countryside while being just moments from the historical charm of Fiesole’s downtown. A quick 15-minute stroll brought us to the heart of the town. That said, you don’t have to venture out to have fun. We were captivated by the blend of the old and the new when we stepped inside the villa. The ancient fireplaces and stone walls managed to awe us. With six bedrooms spread across two floors, the villa can accommodate 12 guests; each is fully renovated and well-decorated.

The heart of the villa, though, has to be its garden. It’s big and beautiful and serves as the perfect spot to soak up the sun. Whenever we had the chance, we would spend our time there and just forget about everything. When the weather permits, feel free to take a relaxing dip in the outdoor swimming pool. Also, if you have the time, you may want to experience the villa’s optional cooking classes!

Medici’s Mansion

Best Historic. Meeting Medici’s Mansion was like love at first sight. Overlooking the enchanting city of Florence, this 15th-century hunting lodge has a unique, rustic charm that instantly captivated us. Don’t let the ancient walls fool you! This mansion boasts all the modern amenities you could ever need. The dining area is spacious, and the kitchen is equipped with modern amenities, perfect for whipping up meals. The air-conditioning was a lifesaver, as it allowed us to stay cool in the Tuscan sun.

While this Fiesole mansion offers a world of its own, the vibrant city of Florence is nearby. It took us only a seven-minute drive to reach there. We would explore the Uffizi Gallery, marvel at the Duomo, and wander through the Ponte Vecchio. The things to do around this villa are endless. There are six bedrooms in total, perfect for large groups and families. Though varying in size, each of them is extremely cozy and offers views of the beautiful garden.

Casa Sofia

We have Casa Sofia, a place for travelers who want to escape the bustling crowds. First impression is everything for us, and this villa surely impressed us. Stepping through the gates, we were greeted by a vibrant garden overflowing with blooms. The scent of the flowers was truly amazing. Inside, the spaciousness of the house surprised us even further. Four bedrooms, all bathed in sunlight, promised peaceful nights and lazy mornings. We lost count of how many times we turned off our alarms as we didn’t want to wake up!

Now, let’s talk about one of our favorite things: the kitchen. It was stocked with everything we wanted. We’re no professional chefs, but being able to cook whatever we wanted during our trip made everything more fun. And once we were done filling our tummies, we would curl up on the plush sofa with a glass of Chianti. Based on our experience, we would give this place an A+. It’s truly more than just a comfortable place to stay; it was an experience.

Casa Vacanze Ada

Though not the fanciest, Casa Vacanze Ada is surely one of the comfiest villas in Fiesole. This recently renovated villa, nestled amongst olive trees on a terraced hillside, offers a delightful escape from the city’s summer heat. Once we entered the property, we were welcomed with relaxation corners and outdoor dining areas, all enveloped by the calming shade of the olive grove. As suckers for gardens, we truly loved staying here. It gave us a one-of-a-kind experience that can’t be found elsewhere.

Location-wise, this villa is only a short stroll away from Fiesole’s lively Piazza Mino and a stone’s throw from the shops and supermarkets. Yet, it felt worlds away. Though there’s only one bedroom, the villa still provides plenty of space for relaxation. It has two levels; honestly, it was way bigger than we thought. The best part? No need to brave the street for a shopping spree, as the private garage conveniently opens directly into the garden.

Villa Il Leccio

Villa Il Leccio is another place of serenity with stunning views of the mountain and easy access to Fiesole’s artistic treasures. Stepping onto the property, we were greeted by the unmatched vistas of the countryside. With its sparkling turquoise water and panoramic backdrop, the pool is a true highlight. Though not big, it was enough for us to soothe our tired bodies. Whether we decided to lounge on the poolside chaise or soak in the scenery from the balcony, every moment there was infused with tranquility.

This villa comprises of several units, and we ended up staying at the two-bedroom villa. There are two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, perfect for small families and groups of BFFs. Unlike some cookie-cutter villas, this one comes with a well-equipped kitchen. Every morning, we would make ourselves delicious omelets as well as bacon, cheese, and egg roll-ups. In the afternoon, we would take a leisurely stroll through the property’s beautifully landscaped gardens, dotted with flowers and olive trees. It was pure relaxation.

Villa Toscana a Fiesole

Best for Couples. Set on the sunny hills of Fiesole, Villa Toscana a Fiesole offers a peaceful escape only a stone’s throw from the artistic buzz of Florence. The villa is in a gorgeous Renaissance building with charming walls and terracotta floors. It’s not grand, but its warmth and authenticity managed to captivate us. The one-bedroom layout is perfect for couples and solo travelers. We also found the living room to be cozy and inviting. The kitchen is another highlight. We would always whip up something there using modern appliances during our stay. We had an enjoyable stay because everything was immaculate and well-maintained.

After a good night’s sleep, we would begin our morning with a cup of coffee on the private terrace. Aside from savoring our daily caffeine, we also loved to take in the serene garden views and the fresh Tuscan air. It was also the loveliest spot for us to unwind after a day of exploring, with plenty of greenery and comfortable seating. Overall, this villa exceeded our expectations for a Fiesole stay. It’s an ideal pick for those looking for a nice balance between historical charm and a peaceful atmosphere.

Best Amenities. Perched on a Florentine hilltop, Villa San Michele is a five-star hotel with a villa-like experience. A former 15th-century monastery, this place transported us back in time. We could feel the hotel oozing charm and luxury when we first arrived. Nestled amidst lush gardens and ancient trees, Villa San Michele offers more than just beautiful views. We stayed in the Garden Suite, and it was fantastic. The terracotta floors and Carrara marble bathroom made us feel like we were in a castle. As the name suggests, our room has a private garden overlooking the beauty of Florence.

While the villa’s undeniable romance might easily captivate lovebirds, families needn’t feel left out. For one, there’s a huge sparkling outdoor pool on the property. It was our go-to spot to cool off after a day of exploration, and we’re sure families would have tons of fun there. As if that’s not enough, there are three restaurants on-site, giving you plenty of options, so there’s no need to leave the hotel for food. Our favorite, though, was Ristorante San Michele. We loved how we were able to sample the traditional Italian cuisine while also enjoying the Florentine skyline. Psst! Order the Fettuccine All’uovo and thank us later!
