Silver Birches Resort
11
Our first PA yoga retreat recommendation is the Silver Birches Resort. When it comes to this place, imagine a cozy lakeside postcard. Just an eight-minute drive from the charming town of Hawley, this family-run spot has a vintage charm that instantly put us at ease. The lake views were incredible, especially in the early morning when the water was still and the sky turned pastel.
One of our favorite parts? The yoga. The resort has its own dedicated yoga room, and we loved how it felt peaceful yet inviting. We joined one of the included yoga classes during our stay, and it was such a great way to start the day, especially with the lake just a short stroll away. Even if you’re brand-new to yoga, they make it easy to feel comfortable.
Of course, there’s plenty to enjoy beyond the mat. We made the most of the complimentary paddle boats and rowboats, and the seasonal heated pool was perfect after a day outdoors. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, and the weekly cookouts had such a friendly, communal feel. There’s also an on-site restaurant if you’re in the mood for a sit-down meal.

Ledges Hotel

Even today, we still remember our two-night wellness escape at Ledges Hotel. The hotel’s location is absolutely breathtaking, with a stunning waterfall view that provides a constant, soothing soundtrack. We spent our afternoons simply taking in the beauty of the area and exploring the beautiful local trails, which helped us feel completely grounded and at peace.
Thanks to the Wellness by the Falls package, our stay was centered around two incredible wellness experiences. We were treated to a 60-minute massage at Vault 240 that left us feeling completely renewed and relaxed. The real highlight for us, though, was the private yoga class. It was a serene and personalized experience that allowed us to truly reconnect with our inner peace while overlooking the beautiful scenery.
The rest of our time at the hotel was equally wonderful. We were able to savor some truly delicious meals at the on-site restaurant, which was the perfect end to our relaxing days. As we were leaving, we were delighted to receive a gift of spa products to take home, a thoughtful touch that extended the feeling of our getaway.

AmishView Inn & Suites

Most Unique. AmishView Inn & Suites has a beautiful location as it’s surrounded by peaceful Amish farmland. We loved our stay here. The daily country breakfast was a fantastic start to our days, and we loved relaxing in the indoor swimming pool too. Its convenient location meant Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park was just a 10-minute drive away, making it an ideal base for our adventures.
One of the absolute highlights for us was the goat yoga. Yes, actual goats! Every Friday through Sunday, they host sessions where you stretch and flow while the friendliest little goats wander around and occasionally hop onto your mat. It was hilarious, surprisingly relaxing, and something we’ll be talking about for ages.
“If you’ve never tried goat yoga before, this is your sign! We were skeptical at first, but ended up having a lot of fun.”
WOW Travel
The inn is perfectly situated for seeing the local sights. We took an incredible Amish farm tour and a horse and buggy ride just a mile from the hotel, which was a great way to experience the local culture. We also spent an afternoon browsing the charming shops and eateries at Kitchen Kettle Village, which was a quick 5-minute drive.

Camelback Resort

Our stay at the Camelback Resort in Tannersville was fantastic. This resort is the perfect choice for families. Our family room was incredibly comfortable, featuring air-conditioning, a private bathroom, and a lovely balcony. The in-room amenities like the fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were so convenient for us, and the free Wi-Fi kept everyone happy.
However, the resort’s facilities were the ones that impressed us the most. We took full advantage of the ski-to-door access and the relaxing hot spring bath. The kids had a blast at the indoor swimming pool, and we loved gathering around the outdoor fireplace at night. The staff was always helpful. We also had fun attending the outdoor yoga class. We were even provided with yoga mats!
The dining experience was great for our whole family. The on-site restaurant served up delicious American, Italian, and pizza dishes, and we really appreciated the vegetarian and gluten-free options. The atmosphere was modern yet comfortable, and we enjoyed several wonderful lunches and dinners there.

AKA Rittenhouse Square

Best Wellness-Focused. It didn’t take long for us to be charmed by AKA Rittenhouse Square‘s beautiful Beaux-Arts building and its prime location. Being in the heart of the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood meant great shopping and dining were steps away, and a historic park was right across the street. The Barnes Foundation was also a quick trip.
What stood out to us was their unique approach to wellness. We tried the floating yoga, a practice done on floating mats on the water. It was a completely new experience. The instability of the mat added a fun and challenging twist. We could feel our balance and core strength improving, and it was incredibly relaxing to be on the water.
After all that activity, the hotel’s sleep amenities were a game-changer. We took advantage of their on-demand lullaby meditations by local artist Luna Maye, which helped us drift off easily. We even looked into a private sound therapy session for a restorative night’s rest. The combination of all these thoughtful touches made our stay feel not just comfortable, but genuinely special.

Bear Creek Mountain Resort

As one of the best Pennsylvania yoga retreats, we were impressed with the amenities at the Bear Creek Mountain Resort. It was great to have both an outdoor and indoor pool to choose from, which meant we could go for a swim no matter the weather. We also appreciated the convenience of having multiple dining options and free Wi-Fi right on the property.
The resort is a year-round playground, with tennis courts, skiing in the winter, and even on-site rentals so you don’t have to haul gear around. But our absolute favorite part? The spa and health club. After a day exploring the mountain, nothing beats melting into a massage or a hot soak.
What made our trip, though, was the chance to participate in Mountainside Yoga. It’s held every Monday and Wednesday at 6 PM. We loved finding our inner peace and stretching out in a class held outdoors, surrounded by such beautiful scenery. It was an amazing and refreshing way to end the day.

The Inn at Leola Village

Not too long ago, we stayed at The Inn at Leola Village, a beautifully transformed 1800s tobacco farm now a four-star hotel nestled in Lancaster County’s Amish community. Our summer visit was particularly enhanced by the extensive flowerbeds and gardens, making it clear why these seasons are ideal for experiencing the Inn’s picturesque charm.
The highlight of our stay, hands down, was the spa. The four-star spa isn’t just about facials and massages (though those were amazing); it’s also home to a wellness center that offers yoga for every skill level. We joined a class in the morning, and it was such a peaceful way to start the day.
Beyond the spa, we loved the unique, hand-selected art and decorations in our room, which were even available for purchase. If you’re there on the first Friday of the month, like we were, don’t miss venturing into downtown Lancaster for “First Friday.” It’s a vibrant evening with shops, galleries, and restaurants bustling, creating a fantastic metropolitan buzz.

Nemacolin

Best Resort Activities. We recently spent a fantastic weekend at Nemacolin and were blown away by the sheer size of the place. The resort sprawls across over 2,000 acres, truly feeling like a massive playground. We made sure to take advantage of the beautiful indoor and outdoor pools, and the on-site golf courses looked incredible.
The absolute highlight of our trip was the restorative weekend we spent with the resort’s special yoga offerings. We signed up for a retreat that had over 25 different yoga experiences, which was the perfect way to reset and have fun. We tried so many new things, including a challenging aerial yoga class, exhilarating bungee fitness, and a magical sunset yoga session.
Beyond the yoga, we took some time to relax at the Woodlands Spa and got our adrenaline pumping with a zip-lining adventure at The Peak. When it was time to eat, we had some fantastic options. We enjoyed a magnificent fine-dining experience at Lautrec, which serves American cuisine with a French twist, and also had some classic pub food at The Tavern Restaurant.

Historic Summit Inn

Perched on a mountaintop with breathtaking views of Uniontown, we were immediately charmed by the Historic Summit Inn. This resort has an impressive history dating back to 1907. Despite its age, the place has a beautifully preserved character that feels welcoming. We loved that it was also a great home base for exploring the area, with iconic spots like Ohiopyle State Park and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater just a short drive away.
The resort offered plenty to keep us busy and relaxed during our stay. We took advantage of the indoor and outdoor pools and went for a lovely hike on one of the many trails right from the property. But the absolute highlight for us was the outdoor yoga on the pool deck. Waking up and joining a session with a view of the mountains was such a peaceful way to start the day, and it was a fantastic perk that it was free for us as overnight guests.
The evenings were just as memorable. We enjoyed a delicious meal at the refined restaurant, followed by a drink at the bar with its incredibly unique counter made entirely of pennies. Our favorite spot, however, was the veranda. We spent a long time there, simply taking in the panoramic mountain and city views as the sun set.

The Lodge at Woodloch

Most Peaceful. Tranquility, you said? You’ll get that at The Lodge at Woodloch. Tucked away on 150 acres of serene woodland in the Pocono Mountains, you can have a weekend getaway from NYC in winter here! The resort gave us an escape from the everyday hustle. We loved waking up to the stunning view of the private lake, and while it felt incredibly secluded, it was conveniently located just a short drive from I-84, making it easy to get to.
For us, one of the best parts was the wellness programming, especially the yoga. They offer such a diverse range of classes that we felt empowered to explore our practice. We had a blast trying out unique classes like The Great Wall of Yoga, and also found our center with traditional Vinyasa Flow and Hatha Yoga sessions. Of course, sometimes you just need to go for the Savasana!
Of course, the all-inclusive package also made our stay completely stress-free. Every meal at the farm-to-table restaurant was a culinary delight, and we never had to think about where we were going to eat next. Beyond the food, there was an impressive array of activities to keep us busy. We took full advantage of the indoor pool and outdoor whirlpool, and spent our afternoons exploring the beautiful grounds by going on a hike and kayaking on the lake.

Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa

Best Private Yoga. We were lucky enough to have the chance to stay at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa, and what an incredible escape it was. Tucked away on a sprawling 2,200-acre property, this resort is beautiful and has an elegant but comfortable vibe. While there are a ton of amenities to explore, from the golf course to the various dining spots, we were there to unwind and focus on a little self-care.
Our main goal was to try out the resort’s yoga offerings, and we weren’t disappointed. We signed up in advance for a couple of the weekend classes and found them to be just what we needed. The instructors were fantastic, guiding us through a truly mindful practice that awakened our bodies and spirits. It was great that the classes are designed for all levels, so whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a total beginner, you feel right at home. It was the perfect way to start our Saturday and Sunday mornings.
We also splurged on a private yoga session, and it was absolutely worth it. We wanted a more personalized experience, and our instructor was able to skillfully tailor the session to our specific needs and pace. After a relaxing day of yoga, we loved hitting the spring-fed indoor pool or unwinding at the spa. The combination of the beautiful surroundings and the amazing wellness offerings made for an unforgettable trip.

Where to Stay in Pennsylvania
If you’re in Pennsylvania for yoga and tranquility, you should consider staying somewhere around the Poconos. Set in northeastern Pennsylvania, the Poconos are all rolling hills, quiet lakes, and pine-scented air, which is perfect for slowing down. Towns like Hawley and Honesdale mix lakeside yoga, Ayurveda workshops, and forest hikes, offering both luxury retreats and low-key, nature-focused escapes.
We also recommend Laurel Highland. This southwestern mountain region blends yoga with outdoor adventure. Practice in the morning, then hike waterfalls in Ohiopyle, cycle scenic trails, or visit Fallingwater. Many retreats here pair yoga with herbal wellness, meditation, and spa treatments from natural mineral springs.
Then, there’s Philadelphia. Philly’s vibrant yoga scene offers rooftop flows, riverside sun salutations, and diverse studio styles. Between classes, you’ll find farm-to-table cafés, vegan eats, and quick escapes to nearby parks. It’s ideal for travelers who want city energy with easy access to nature.
