The Aloha State of Hawaii is the quintessential destination for a tropical island getaway. And of all the Hawaiian islands, the well-rounded “Valley Isle” of Maui is perfect for practically everyone. Think panoramic ocean views, endless outdoor activities and water adventures, and a romantic atmosphere like no other – that’s Maui for you. So, whether you’re a couple looking to celebrate a milestone anniversary or a family looking for a beach holiday, the island caters to just about everyone. This is all thanks to the proliferation of all-inclusive hotels in Maui, HI, which are the epitome of beachside luxury and relaxation. Since we wanted to really get our money’s worth, we looked for all-inclusive stays, and we were delighted by the sheer number of choices we were presented with.
Firstly, the location of the island’s best all-inclusive stays varies dramatically. While some sit in the middle of a lush tropical forest with splendid ocean views, others sit right on the sands of Maui’s stunning beaches. Moreover, the incidentals and types of offerings on the all-inclusive packages are superb, ranging from setup for kids in the rooms to spa offerings and drinks by the pool. Resorts without all-inclusive packages usually charge resort fees that include a whole lot of amenities. If splurging a little more meant that we could relax in the lap of luxury without worrying about missing out on things, then Maui was certainly the perfect place! Here’s a detailed guide to the island’s best all-inclusive hotels and resorts.
Note: Travel to Lahaina is still closed due to the devastating fires, so we’re excluding the hotels at Lahaina and Kaanapali just north of Lahaina, which is also home to those displaced by the fires.

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua
10
We begin with the Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua, which is just the ticket if you’re aiming for relaxation and seclusion in Maui. The entrance and the towering, lush scenery are different from everywhere else on the island, complete with windy weather. The crowd is akin to that of a country club, and the service is utterly gracious and smooth. What helps is the widely spread design and the low-key vibe. It’s truly a Maui property that lets you hide in the lap of luxury.
For a daily resort fee of USD 55/room (which is included in the room rates when you book), the Ritz offers guests access to a ton of experiences, amenities, and whatnot. For one, it includes a wonderful kukui nut and floral lei greeting for two people per room. What’s more, beach chairs and umbrellas are set up every day for two guests either by the pool or on the beach. You also have access to fitness and Hawaiian cultural classes daily, such as wayfinding, hula, and lei-making. Thanks to the daily Wi-Fi, which is also included, you can stay connected throughout your stay, especially when planning tours and itineraries. Finally, the fee includes unlimited access to the Kapalua shuttle every day, whether you want to go shopping, to the beaches, to restaurants, or to play tennis and golf.
It’s no wonder that despite being one of Hawaii’s most expensive hotels, the Ritz-Carlton Maui is still one of the best all-inclusive hotels in Maui, Hawaii.

Fairmont Kea Lani Wailea

Most luxurious. Hop from your bed straight into the waters of the Pacific at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea, which offers incredible ocean views. That’s why it’s one of the best oceanfront hotels in Maui. The best thing about staying at the all-suite Fairmont is that even the entry-level rooms start at 860 sq. ft. Besides the massive suites, the Fairmont is known for its excellent inclusions in the USD 50/day resort fee.
For guests’ convenience, the five-star resort has bundled most of its sought-after services and amenities into one daily resort charge of USD 50, plus taxes. These include overnight self-parking for a vehicle per suite, a Keiki welcome amenity, a reusable Pathwater bottle per guest per stay, and 10% off at Makana Market + Cafe on Fairmont logo merch. Leisure amenities include fitness classes, beach and pool amenities, sunscreen, and after-sun care. Since it’s Hawaii, activities like Hawaiian canoe experiences and an hour-long snorkel equipment rental at the resort (two sets/suite per day) are also included. Besides unlimited internet access, this USD 50 fee also includes the weekly cultural activity roster that’s a force to reckon with at the Kea Lani. What more could you want?
If you’re a member of Accor Live Limitless, then you also get premium Wi-Fi and a 10% discount at Willow Stream Spa (with some applicable exclusions).

Four Seasons Resort Maui At Wailea

Best for families with kids. A massive U-shaped property behind which stretches a white sand beach and the azure waters of the Pacific Ocean, the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea doesn’t need an introduction. It’s one of the island’s only resorts that does not charge a resort fee, which is practically a standard in all of Maui. So, even though the prices are high, the no-resort fee makes for a friendly and very welcome gesture.
However, what impressed us was that it had more inclusions in the room rate than any other Maui resort. For instance, complimentary services included all pool cabanas around the deck, poolside snacks, and a fitness center. What’s more, it also included an outrigger canoe paddling expedition, an intro scuba clinic, and even hour-long snorkel rentals at the beach! But that’s not all. Families with kids have a godsend in the form of the complimentary Kids For All Seasons program, and folks with early arrivals and late departures can relax in the Aloha Suite lounge. That’s why it’s one of Maui’s best family hotels. The best bit? Four Seasons takes the word “inclusive” quite literally; new ramps are running from the hotel to the beach.
Besides this, they have specific packages, such as additional nightly resort credits, a bed and breakfast offering, and the club floor experience. The latter includes access to a lounge with complimentary meals and even a USD 100 credit at the luxury boutiques. However, the zenith is “The Complete Suite Experience,” which plies the residential/oceanfront suite guests with intriguing extras. Think unlimited laundry, daily breakfasts, personal assistants, and airport transportation.

Andaz Maui at Wailea

Imagine staying in the beach house of a rich relative; that’s Andaz Maui at Wailea for you. It’s one of Maui’s most modern resorts, complete with open-air lobbies, reflection ponds, turquoise-blue pools, and a spirit of Zen combined with Aloha. It’s also one of the resort-fee hotels, but it has more inclusions and offerings than any other hotel we’ve seen at Wailea.
Andaz Maui charges a resort fee of USD 50/day, which includes a lei greeting, non-alcoholic welcome beverages, complimentary tea/coffee every morning, two refillable water bottles, and a custom Andaz bag upon arrival. Plus, there’s even a car service that takes you anywhere in Wailea. Regarding amenities, the fee includes daily fitness classes, like morning pilates and yoga, and live music at the Lehua Lounge. However, the biggest and most popular inclusions were the many cultural activities and water adventures that were part of the resort fee. These include hula lessons, coconut weaving, lei-making, and ukulele lessons to guided kayak tours, stand-up paddleboard lessons, and canoe and outrigger rides. The best bit? It even includes single/tandem bikes, snorkel equipment, and GoPro Hero camera rentals.
The rest of the resort is equally amazing, with more than four pools to choose from, the apothecary-style Awili Spa, and epic restaurants serving every cuisine under the sun. It’s no wonder it’s one of the best luxury hotels in Maui.

Experience more from your Hawaiian vacation while staying at the Grand Wailea Resort, which is perfect for spending long, languid days soaking up the Hawaiian sunshine on Wailea Beach. While it doesn’t offer an all-inclusive package, it does have a daily resort fee that packs in many offerings. So, whether it’s families who want to enjoy fun-packed adventures or couples who want to relax by the pool, Grand Wailea has something for everyone.
The Grand Wailea’s daily resort fee of USD 50/room gives you exclusive access to some of the most sought-after activities, immersive experiences, and amazing amenities. When it comes to everyday logistics, the fee includes unlimited local calls, free Wi-Fi, and two refillable bottles of PATH water. Secondly, you can use the beach chairs and umbrellas on Wailea Beach and beach cruiser bikes to explore the local community.
For those interested in water activities and adventure, the resort fee includes daily admission to snorkel lessons and scuba clinics, outdoor fitness classes, and beach yoga. Are you culturally inclined? Even lessons in the ukulele and Hawaiian hula are included in the resort fee! If you book and schedule it in advance, the fee includes a one-time, 45-minute photography session with Pacific Dream Photography. It could be your very own personal Hawaiian photoshoot!

Hana-Maui Resort

Most authentic Hawaiian resort. If you fancy staying in ocean-facing bungalows on the Maui coast, then head down the road to Hana and go to the famed Hana-Maui Resort. This off-the-grid escape has been around since 1946 and has existed by different names and in different forms, but the essence is the same. It still feels like an old-timey getaway, as it has no air-conditioning, no TVs, and no clocks – but fret not, there are ceiling fans and Wi-Fi. People love this offline, away-from-everything vibe, and we’re sure you will, too.
This boutique resort offers a daily resort fee of USD 45/room that seeks to enhance your stay. What’s more, it includes many services, including self-parking for one vehicle per room and welcome beverages the minute you arrive. When it comes to the amenities, the resort fee includes access to pickleball and tennis courts, the fitness center, the resort bikes, and the resort’s exercise fit trail. Moreover, the in-room waters are replenished daily too, and you can even access the Hamoa Beach shuttle and the Hana Airport shuttle. Did we mention the daily yoga classes and access to the three-hole pitch and putt course, too? Yes!
Since Hana is a sleepy town at the end of the Hana Highway, it’s the perfect antidote for exploring all of Maui and enjoying its laid-back side. Small, intimate, and with excellent service, this boutique resort is one of the most romantic hotels in Maui.

The aah factor kicked in the moment we stepped into the expansive open-air “lanai” lobby of Wailea Beach Resort – Marriott, Maui. It’s one of the best all-inclusive resorts in Maui for more reasons than one. Firstly, a grand, mostly outdoors lanai with absolutely killer views of the Pacific Ocean greets you the moment you step in. But, it’s the ‘resort retreats’ package that really impressed us and everyone else. It allocates every guest a resort credit of USD 50 per day for stays of 4 nights or more!
Regarding all-inclusive offerings, the upscale Marriott outpost has a resort fee of USD 40, which includes many diversions, activities, and amenities. In fact, that’ll end up encouraging you to wander out of your room and explore the property more. Bear with us, for it’s one long list. For one, the fee includes a whole lot of water activities and adventures, including introductory scuba lessons and pool aerobics. Land activities and adventures are included in this, including a lounge with board and arcade games, shuffleboard, billiards, and foosball, and a fitness center with yoga and pilates. For families, the fee even includes access to the Movie House, which screens family flicks twice every day.
If you’re the kind who likes to get out and explore, there are bike rentals included in the fee. For the laidback kind, there are mai tais and complimentary Wi-Fi that are also part of the resort fee. Finally, everyone can end the day with conversation and evening s’mores with other guests around the seaside fire pit, which is included in the resort fee.

Ho‘olei Villas at Grand Wailea

Sitting right next to the Grand Wailea, the Waldorf Astoria-owned and operated Ho‘olei Villas at Grand Wailea promises those who stay here a best-of-the-best world-class experience. This picturesque oceanfront gated property is part of the Grand Wailea but discrete from it. But what makes it truly special is the verdant hillside location, which offers sweeping ocean and mountain views.
Just like the Grand Wailea, the daily resort fee of USD 50/room here gives guests exclusive access to amenities, experiences, and activities. In terms of everyday logistics, the fee includes two refillable bottles of PATH water, free Wi-Fi, and unlimited local calls. For leisure, guests have access to the beach cruiser bikes, beach umbrellas, and chairs on Wailea Beach. Since this is a Maui resort, the fee includes daily admission to beach yoga, outdoor fitness classes, scuba clinics, and snorkel lessons. Plus, there are even Hawaiian hula and ukulele lessons.
Beyond this, the resort offers multiple experiences you can book, like the “Experience the Stay,” where you get a USD 100/night resort credit to use for shopping, spa treatments, and dining. The same resort credit is USD 250 with the “Make my Stay” package. Besides special offers for specific months, the “Stay for Longer” package ensures 20% off with 5-day or more consecutive-day stays.

Montage Kapalua Bay

Montage Kapalua Bay is unlike most of the other Hawaiian resorts, especially when it comes to its architecture. In fact, its public spaces incorporate Hawaiian seafaring culture and traditions more and better than any other Hawaiian resort we’ve seen. For instance, a dramatic, triangular roof is the first thing you see when you arrive. It’s designed to resemble a traditional Hawaiian canoe house that sits over a koi pond. The hotel was earlier home to the Kapalua Bay Hotel and the Ritz Residences at Kapalua Bay.
Like other excellent Maui resorts, Montage Kapalua Bay charges a daily resort fee of USD 48 per room, which includes everything from excellent Wi-Fi and access to the fitness center and spa to in-room coffee, cultural classes, and beach umbrellas and chairs at Kapalua Bay out front. What’s more, guests can also access the Kapalua shuttle, which takes them around the region. However, cultural vultures will have an excellent time here, as the resort fees also include lessons from the property’s longtime cultural ambassador — how unique, isn’t it? In fact, these lesions are an excellent way to learn about Maui’s history and Kapalua’s beginnings. The best bit? The resort’s daily fee even includes guided tide pool explorations and complimentary hikes.
But what really impressed us were the many packages and special offers that the resort had. For instance, the “Montage Moments” package gave guests a daily USD 100 resort credit for stays of 2 nights or more to use towards recreation, leisure, or dining. While one package had a complimentary fifth night, another had a 10% discount on the room rates and a USD 100 activity credit per stay.

Best adults-only. Adults-only luxury doesn’t get any better than at Hotel Wailea, Relais & Chateaux. It’s Hawaii’s only Relais & Chateaux property and its only adults-only luxury stay. The location couldn’t get any better; it sits on a high perch with sweeping views of the ocean and three Hawaiian islands. So, it’s not surprising that this lush, tropical enclave has garnered a number of awards! You will love the setting – 72 suites are peppered amongst 15 acres of winding pathways, cascading waterfalls, tropical gardens, and Zen-inspired landscaped grounds.
Just like most other Maui resorts, this one also applies a daily resort fee of USD 40/suite (plus taxes). However, this fee allows you to enjoy most of the activities and amenities without having to spend on miscellaneous stuff. You can enjoy locally-made snacks and non-alcoholic beverages when you’re in your room. Besides self-parking and a lei greeting with a champagne toast (yes!), the fee includes a whole lot of activities and experiences. These include yoga and fitness classes in the 24-hour open-air fitness studio with splendid views and an aerial yoga studio with similar ocean views. What’s more, there are even mixology classes thrown into the mix.
Since this is Maui, it also includes outrigger canoe excursions and other water activities depending on the season. For those laidback peeps, the beach concierge provides you with water towels, an umbrella, beach chairs, and cabanas on a first-come, first-serve basis and transportation to any beach in the Wailea region! This is apart from the fact that there’s also a luxury vehicle shuttle service available within the Wailea area that’s included in the resort fee!

Where to Stay in Maui?
Maui is a rare Hawaiian island because it’s part of the archipelago, but it is a single, huge island. Since its coasts are vastly different from each other and all-inclusive hotels were present just about everywhere, we needed to carefully decide where we wanted to stay.
Firstly, Lahaina, a historic whaling village and tourist hotspot, which has a huge collection of chic and luxurious all-inclusive resorts. This Western Maui town is also a paradise for shoppers, culture vultures, and foodies and has lots of fine dining restaurants, shopping avenues, and art galleries. Next, there’s Kaanapali, which is the most popular beach in West Maui. Since it’s Hawaii’s very first planned resort, it’s now home to opulent condos and hotels. We love the buzzing and bustling tourist hotspot of Napili Bay, which is also famous for its spectacular oceanfront. However, the cherry on top is the plethora of snorkeling sites in what are some of the world’s clearest waters.
Discerning travelers seeking luxury will love the elite resort area of Kapalua in West Maui, which is also a surfer’s paradise. Just off the coast of Kapalua sits Molokai Island, which has some of the most incredible cliffs in the world. If you’re looking for the sunniest and driest part of the island, then look no further than the Kihei Coast, with sweeping views of Molokini, Lanai, and West Maui. Finally, there’s Wailea, Maui’s most well-known and famous neighborhood. It’s home to excellent all-inclusive resorts, bars and restaurants, snorkeling, and beaches.
What does all-inclusive mean in Maui?
While it depends on the specific options chosen, most all-inclusive Maui stays include meals, activities, entertainment, and, in many cases, alcohol as well. While some cap the number of drinks per day, others limit alcohol to lighter options like beer and wine.
Should you do an all-inclusive package in Maui?
Yes, it’s highly recommended, as it means that you’ll be able to enjoy a well-rounded Maui vacation not just at the resort but also outside in the form of activities, sightseeing, and adventures.
What is the best month to vacation in Maui?
While the south and west coasts are sunnier and drier, the north and east coasts boast occasional rainfall and lush vegetation. While visiting Maui in the peak summer and winter is always amazing, the shoulder seasons of fall (September-November) and spring (April-May) have fewer crowds and pleasant weather.
