Let’s kick off this list with Palace Praia Hotel. The location alone is a huge win, as it’s right on Canasvieiras Beach, so everything feels easy and walkable. While it’s not one of the most unique beaches in the world, we still loved how clean and lively the beach was during our stay. The hotel also has a beachy vibe, and the pool was one of our favorite spots. It’s beautiful, faces the ocean, and has direct access to the sand.
We booked the Superior Studio, and it was like a little home by the sea. We loved having a balcony and a big window with uninterrupted ocean views. The room was air-conditioned, had a cable TV, a dining area, and even a small kitchen with a microwave and fridge. Another detail we really appreciated was the towel service. They provide towels not only for the room, but also for the pool and beach.
Breakfast was another highlight for us. The buffet was generous and varied, with something new and sweet showing up each day alongside the classics. On top of that, the hotel offers a free whirlpool and gym. Both need to be booked in advance, but it was totally worth it.

We also highly recommend checking out Intercity Florianopolis. This hotel is right in the middle of everything. The main bus station is almost directly across the street, which made our arrivals and departures a breeze. The Mercado Público is also just a short walk away, perfect for souvenir shopping or stopping for a casual beer like the locals do.
Another big plus is what’s right next door. The hotel sits beside Armazém Rita Maria, a cool cluster of restaurants and bars that feels lively without being overwhelming. We found it ideal for nights when we didn’t want to wander far. Just walk over, pick a spot, and enjoy good food and drinks in a slightly upscale but still relaxed atmosphere.
As for the room, we stayed in the Luxo Superior Casal and were surprised by how cozy and modern it felt. The split air conditioning handled the Florianopolis heat with no problem, and the Wi-Fi was lightning fast and reliable. We also appreciated having a smart TV, a mini-bar for late-night snacks, and a clean, well-equipped bathroom with a hairdryer.

Our stay at Hotel Jurerê Beach Village was exactly like the kind of beach escape we were craving. You step out onto what feels like a private deck leading straight to the sand, with security, staff helping with chairs and umbrellas, and even foot-washing taps when you come back. Beach towels are easy to grab and exchange whenever needed, and you can use them both at the pool and the beach. Outside the hotel, the neighborhood is a destination on its own. The street is a gastronomic tour, packed with restaurants from all kinds of cuisines.
This hotel is also super family-friendly. There’s a dedicated recreation area where kids are constantly entertained by activity monitors, but adults can enjoy it too without feeling out of place. Aside from that, it boasts both a heated pool and a regular one, which makes a lot of sense for a beachfront property. Everything in the common areas was spotless and well organized, and it was reassuring to always see staff by the pool keeping an eye out.
Now, let’s talk about our room. It was comfortable and perfectly sized for the two of us. We particularly liked the kitchen, which had a microwave, mini sink, sponge, and all the essentials. They were just enough to make quick meals and snacks without hassle. The bathroom had an old-school bathtub, which was rare and a welcome bonus, plus good space and nice amenities. The highlight, though, was the side balcony overlooking the pool, with a peek at the ocean, too.

Next, we have Il Campanario Villaggio Resort. From the second we arrived, we were genuinely welcomed. The staff was unfailingly polite. They helped us with our bags up to the suite and made everything feel smooth and safe. Even with families and kids around, the hotel stayed pleasantly calm and quiet.
Our suite is amazing! It was spacious, with a cozy little living area and a small but well-equipped kitchen. The bathroom honestly stole the show, though. It was big, beautiful, and came with an amazing shower. The bed linens, fluffy bathrobes, and L’Occitane toiletries added that extra touch of luxury and made us feel pampered.
Location-wise, it doesn’t get much better. Being right next to Jurerê Open, we skipped hotel meals entirely and enjoyed the many nearby restaurants instead. Room service, however, was excellent: extra blankets and a thermostat issue were handled in minutes.

Costao do Santinho Resort All Inclusive has been awarded as the best beach resort in Brazil multiple times, so staying here is a must, especially if you’re bringing your little ones along. It has all kinds of things your family needs. We’re talking about swimming pools, tennis courts, a beach, six restaurants, and a gorgeous spa.
Furthermore, all of the rooms here are stunning, and we got the Luxury Suite. Everything was comfortable and well thought out, and we even had private parking right by our room. Psst! It also came with a well-equipped kitchen. Not to mention, some accommodations even come with a barbecue facility!
Our kids are pretty hard to please, but we were glad they had a lot of fun at the kids’ club. They especially loved their time at the wildlife sanctuary! During our stay, we were lucky enough to catch live performances by well-known Brazilian artists. Food-wise, we ate extremely well. From Italian and Japanese options to classic Brazilian barbecue, we were spoiled.

Not naming LK Design Hotel Florianopolis one of the best hotels in Florianopolis Brazil is a crime. We initially booked it for the unbeatable location along Beira Mar, which is perfect for walks by the water and easy access to the city, but the experience ended up being so much more than just a great address.
Breakfast alone deserves its own paragraph because it was next-level. Every morning was like a mini food tour, with an incredible spread of breads and pastries, cereals, deli meats, fresh fruit, and hot dishes like eggs, omelets, and pancakes made to order. The fresh juices were a standout, especially the coconut water, and we loved that espresso-based coffees with oat milk were included. As a big bonus, there were plenty of gluten-free options.
One of our favorite features was the rooftop, which easily competes with the best in Florianopolis. The outdoor pool has stunning views, and the gym is well-equipped, not just a token hotel fitness room. Additionally, our Superior King Room came with a partial sea view. It was comfortable, modern, and exactly what we wanted for our stay.

Best Boutique. When we were making our itinerary and first saw the photos of Hotel Boutique Quinta das Videiras, we knew we had to spend our nights there. This is one of the best hotels in Florianopolis Brazil, if you want to experience the city’s softer and more romantic side. Located near Lagoa da Conceição, the hotel reminded us of an old Portuguese manor, complete with a rosy-pink exterior and vines curling around the walls. It’s extremely intimate and charming.
With just 16 rooms, everything here feels personal. The staff quickly learned our routine, and the atmosphere was super calm. Our Master Room had a rustic, old-world style with solid wood furniture and a dramatic four-poster bed. However, the bathroom was surprisingly modern and sleek, featuring double sinks and a soaking tub. If you don’t mind splurging, consider the higher-end suites!
One of our favorite things about this hotel was the breakfast. We would order it the night before and wake up to a Portuguese spread delivered straight to our room, beautifully served on classic blue porcelain. We can’t say enough good things about this boutique hotel!

Let us start by praising the staff of Hotel Sete Ilhas. All of the staff members were warm, caring, and incredibly professional. Every one of them we interacted with was eager to help. Not to mention, check-in was effortless thanks to the front desk staff speaking excellent English. They truly exceeded our expectations.
The hotel itself is beautifully maintained and organized, sitting right on the beach. Every morning, we were either on the sand or enjoying the breakfast spread. We especially loved the homemade cakes and desserts. During our stay, one of us was celebrating our birthday, and the staff even surprised us with a cake! So thoughtful!
That’s not all, though. Since we were right on the beach, the hotel also provided us with free sunscreen and towels. Plus, with so many great bars and cafés within easy walking distance, we found ourselves constantly tempted to explore the area, barely spending time inside our cozy studio because there was always something just around the corner.

If you want exclusive access to the very heart of Florianopolis, stay at Majestic Palace Hotel. This hotel gave us a front-row seat to everything, from the ocean out in front of the hotel to the city buzz. Aside from that, Beiramar Shopping Mall and several beaches are also just minutes away from the hotel.
Inside, the hotel delivers on comfort and style. The hotel has it all, from beautifully designed suites (including a jaw-dropping Presidential Suite) to elegant event spaces and an excellent restaurant. The infinity-edge pool is a showstopper, offering panoramic views of the sea and Beira-Mar Norte that we could stare at for hours.
But more than anything, what made our stay memorable was the service. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, taken care of, and completely at ease. They even shared local tips we wouldn’t have gotten elsewhere. Much appreciated!

Best Location. Sometimes travel really does come down to where you are, and staying at Novotel Florianopolis made that crystal clear for us. The hotel sits in a spot that feels almost unfairly good. It’s right by the bridge to Santa Catarina, planted in the middle of the city yet somehow still connected to the island’s beaches, surf spots, and sweeping natural scenery. The building stands out easily, thanks to its sleek glass tower rising among the city’s high-rises. From our windows, we could see the bay, the mountains, and the views of the city all at once.
Speaking of which, we loved our room. We booked the Superior King Room, and it was more than enough for us. We had plenty of natural light, a comfortable workspace, and a sparkling bathroom. Every corner was spotless, and we had everything we needed and more.
What rounded out the experience were the amenities. We loved unwinding our tired legs at the on-site spa, and when we were too tired to venture out for food, the restaurant came to our rescue. On top of that, Novotel also features a bar for those of you who need one last drink before calling it a day.

Most Sophisticated. There are great hotels, and there’s Fuso Concept Hotel. While most places we saw in Florianopolis leaned heavily into that beachy, boho vibe, Fuso Concept Hotel was different. Set on the island’s northern coast, the hotel has a sleek, modern look with lots of glass and wood, proving you don’t have to go full surf shack just because you’re near the ocean. We stayed in one of their standalone bungalows, and it was fantastic. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors slid open to a spacious deck, our own private pool, and uninterrupted ocean views.
The experience was elevated even more by the shared spaces. There’s a beautiful spa on-site for slowing down, and the terrace restaurant was one of our favorite spots. Dining with the sea right in front of you, especially as the open-air fireplaces flicker after sunset, was incredibly cozy and romantic. The restaurant itself deserves real praise! The menu was thoughtful, varied, and everything we tried was delicious. Even the gym impressed us. It was well-equipped and clean, so we didn’t have to compromise our workout routine.
If you’re not into lifting weights, feel free to take a dip in the year-round outdoor pool. It’s arguably the heart of the hotel. Additionally, the hotel also boasts a free shuttle to the nearby beach if you’re interested. Finally, we also have to talk about the impeccable service. From the second we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and clearly well-trained, always anticipating what we needed.

It’s very lively here, attracting surfers, digital nomads, couples, and solo travelers alike.
Meanwhile, Jurerê Internacional is the top choice for travelers looking for comfort, upscale dining, and a polished beach experience. Known for its calm waters, wide beachfront, and stylish atmosphere, this area feels resort-like and is especially popular with families, couples, and luxury travelers. By day, it’s relaxed and beach-focused. By night, it transforms into trendy restaurants and beach clubs. If you want an easy, walkable area with a more refined feel, it’s one of the best places to stay.
We also recommend Campeche, which is ideal for travelers who want a more local, laid-back beach lifestyle without sacrificing beauty. The beach here is long, wild, and stunning, with views of Ilha do Campeche just offshore.
