The True Blue Bay Resort isn’t your typical hotel. For us, this is one of the most fun beach resorts Grenada has to offer! The bright pops of color on nearly every wall and the fun little animal sculptures along the paths gave the place a cheerful, slightly quirky atmosphere we instantly liked. The grounds feel well cared for, with palms and flowering bushes adding just enough island charm.

Throughout our stay, we made sure to take full advantage of the resort’s four swimming pools, the marina, and the dive center. There’s plenty to keep you busy, including kayaks, Hobie cats, a small spa, and an open-air yoga deck that catches a great breeze. The weekly extras, like rum-and-chocolate tastings and cooking classes, were a much-appreciated bonus.

Our room followed the same upbeat style, with bright decor and a handy kitchenette. Even the standard rooms are comfortable and modern, but the newer Cocoa Pod Rooms stand out for their space and eco-friendly design. If you need more room, the waterfront suites, tower suites, and big two-bedroom villas with plunge pools offer lots of options.

Tucked into the quiet curve of Petite Calivigny Bay, Le Phare Bleu Marina Resort is one of the most tranquil hotels in Grenada Caribbean. We enjoyed the two small dark-sand beaches and the overall calm.

The resort itself kept us happily busy. The pool, with its wide wooden decking, became a regular hangout, and we loved being able to grab kayaks or paddleboards whenever we felt like getting on the water. Yoga sessions on the lawn-side deck were a nice bonus. The Friday-night live music on the lightship was surprisingly fun, and the occasional dinghy concerts, with performers on an old tugboat and guests floating nearby, are unlike anything we’ve seen.

Our villa added a lot to the stay. With dark-wood floors, rattan furniture, and mosquito-netted beds, it had a comfortable, rustic style. The walk-in shower was great, and the kitchen was also fully stocked. We recommend the single-storey Garden or Seafront Villas if the budget allows, as they’re spacious and the verandahs with swinging sofas are perfect for relaxing.

Maca Bana

Maca Bana sits in the quiet southwest corner of the island, close to the airport but tucked far enough away that we barely noticed it. From our villa, it was a short but steep walk down to Magazine Beach and the Aquarium restaurant. The beach is long and sandy, and even with a big hotel at one end, the stretch near Maca Bana stayed surprisingly quiet.

We stayed in Pawpaw, one of seven villas on the property. It’s a compact and colorful one-bedroom with sturdy wooden furniture and a fully equipped kitchen. The walk-in shower was modern, but the standout was the deck with its hot tub and wide ocean views.

Furthermore, the staff made day-to-day stuff effortless. Our villa was cleaned daily, dishes included, and we were given a local mobile phone, which came in handy. When we didn’t feel like heading down the hill, we relaxed by the small infinity pool with its great view. At the Aquarium, loungers and kayaks were free for us, and we could borrow snorkeling gear from the office. Better yet, they also offered in-villa spa treatments and private yoga sessions.

Silversands Beach House

Best Newcomer. Despite being new, Silversands Beach House already knows all the secrets to a no-stress beach getaway. Opened in early 2024, this resort still has that fresh, modern energy. With only 28 rooms and suites, it feels small, but in a good way. We especially loved the sail-like arches and huge windows that give everything that contemporary look.

Speaking of which, our suite made a great first impression. The beachfront bungalows open straight onto the sand, allowing us to have morning walks without breaking a sweat. Not to mention, we were able to enjoy the unobstructed views from the comfort of our bed.

One of the standout moments of our stay was dinner at Azzuro, the resort’s Italian restaurant that’s quickly becoming a go-to spot on the island. The menu leans into Mediterranean flavors, and thanks to the cozy setting, an hour just flew by like that. Even if you’re not staying at the resort, it’s worth coming by just for a meal.

Despite being one of the smallest countries on Earth, Grenada is many travelers’ go-to destination for upscale travel, and Six Senses La Sagesse makes it clear why. Even though it’s a luxury property, it wasn’t too formal. If anything, we felt very relaxed throughout our trip, and we didn’t have to share the space with too many people as well.

Because there are only 56 rooms and 15 villas, the whole resort feels more like a small village than a big hotel complex. It’s set along a calm lagoon between two beaches, and we loved the quirky touch of walking paths made from nutmeg shells and cocoa skins.

We were also impressed by how easy the resort makes traveling with kids. The programming kept us happily occupied, which meant we actually got to enjoy the spa and some downtime without feeling guilty. And the sustainability side isn’t just lip service. The Earth Lab shows guests how the resort runs things responsibly, from kitchen gardens to environmental practices.

The Mount Cinnamon Beach & Wellness Resort is perfectly situated on a steep hillside above the stunning, white sands of Grand Anse beach. All we needed to do was have a three-minute walk down to the property’s lovely beach club below.

The resort’s best feature is the Beach Cabana, a stylish and relaxing beach club right on Grand Anse. It includes a lounge bar, a croquet lawn, a volleyball court, and a yoga platform. We also liked how a wide array of water sports equipment and a dive center are available here. After all, it’s one of the best dive resorts in the Caribbean. Oh, don’t forget to experience the superb open-air spa treatments.

Accommodation ranges from the recently opened Cinnamon Suites to larger Hacienda suites and multi-bedroom villas. The suites and villas are boldly decorated, feature full, well-equipped kitchens, and include unique tropical art. We can’t talk about the best hotel in Grenada Caribbean without mentioning Laluna Boutique Hotel & Villas. With just 16 cottages, it feels small and relaxed. We personally loved the casual, beachy style, as it instantly put us into vacation mode.

We spent most of our time enjoying the wellness amenities. One of the things we enjoyed the most was the beachside yoga pavilion, our go-to morning spot, and the Asian-inspired spa was an easy excuse to keep the relaxation going. There’s also a genuinely good gym and an organic garden that supplies ingredients for the kitchen, which we appreciated a lot.

Evenings were our favorite time at Laluna. The restaurant and sunset lounge sit right on the sand, so our dinner automatically became much more enjoyable. Additionally, with the resort’s rustic-luxury interiors and those breezy four-poster beds, it’s clear why the hotel is popular for destination weddings, but even without tying the knot, we loved the intimate vibe.

Best for Families. Traveling with kids can be a hassle, but the award-winning Spice Island Beach Resort makes it effortless. With the kids booked into activities that run pretty much all day, we didn’t feel like we had to constantly entertain them. It gave us the freedom to actually enjoy the all-inclusive perks, things like tennis, cycling, sailing, yoga, golf, scuba diving, or just hanging out at the spa without checking the time.

The resort has 64 suites lined up along Grande Anse Beach, and this works really well for families. Our suite was roomy, modern, and comfortable, with enough space that we weren’t stepping over each other. The cherry on top, though, was the gorgeous views of the sea. Stunning!

Food-wise, we were also impressed. Oliver’s mixes Creole dishes with plenty of vegetarian options, and the live calypso and steel bands make dinner feel fun. When we wanted something more low-key, the Sea and Surf Terrace & Bar offered amazing views. The kids were happy too, as their menus were clearly made with younger eaters in mind.

Best for Couples. Want to have a romantic getaway in Grenada? Spend your nights at Sandals Grenada, which is all-inclusive, couples-only! This resort is located at the quiet end of Pink Gin Beach, so we had plenty of space and clear views up the coastline toward St. George’s and the hills in the distance.

What stood out most, however, was the service. Everyone we interacted with seemed genuinely happy to help, whether it was a gardener saying hello or bartenders chatting with guests while mixing drinks. The activities team also kept things fun with beach and pool volleyball, and when we wanted something more relaxed, we would either take a dip in one of the pools or rejuvenate at the spa.

For our stay, we booked the Pink Gin Beachfront Room, and the location really made a big difference. Since we were so close to the beach, we could get out the door and onto the sand in seconds. The room had classic Caribbean touches like mahogany furniture, bright prints, and a clean marble bathroom. It also came stocked with wine, beer, and soft drinks, which we appreciated.

We quickly realized that Coyaba Beach Resort isn’t trying to be a fancy, high-end resort, and that was perfectly fine with us. One of the best hotels in Grenada Caribbean, we appreciated how easy it was for us to settle into this place. Not to mention, the staff really make the place feel welcoming. David McKenzie helped us plan an island tour with zero hassle, and Chad took it upon himself to ensure our wine glasses were never empty.

Every corner of this resort is tidy and well cared for, and the location is honestly one of Coyaba’s biggest perks. You walk straight from the garden onto Grande Anse Beach, which makes it incredibly easy to pop back and forth between the sea and our room. And when it came to food, we always had options. There was a mix of chicken, fish, pork, beef, and veggie dishes, plus a few themed nights like pasta, Indian, and BBQ.

Getting into St. George’s was simple thanks to the local bus that stops near the hotel. It’s definitely an experience, but a safe and fun one. What’s more, there were families with kids during our stay, proving that Coyaba is also loved by families.

Calabash Hotel

Best Luxury Boutique. Calabash Hotel impressed us right away with how easy it was to reach. We were already at the hotel and on the beach about 10 minutes after landing. The location also makes getting around simple. Grand Anse is just a few minutes away, and St. George’s is close enough for boat trips to spots like the underwater sculpture park.

We spent plenty of time on the property because there was a lot to do. The calm beach is perfect for the free non-motorised water sports, and the dive center makes planning excursions easy. If that’s not enough, you can also enjoy the infinity pool, spa, 24-hour gym, tennis courts, yoga classes, and even a giant chessboard. On top of that, throughout our stay, service was consistently friendly.

Our suite was roomier than we imagined, with a big terrace, a comfortable sitting area, and a large bathroom stocked with full-sized Elemis toiletries. Aside from that, we were also spoiled with the thoughtful additions like fresh milk, new paperbacks, smart speakers, and a stocked minibar. The highlight, though, was the nightly homemade canapés delivered in a tiffin box.
