There’s no place as ‘transporting-you-to-another world’ more than Las Vegas. Besides being the world’s quickie marriage capital, Sin City, as Vegas is fondly called, is all about glamour and high-octane everything. Think flamboyant pool parties, spectacular shows, opulent casinos, and eye-popping glitz. That vibe extends to its hotels — both famous and infamous — which promise an experience like nowhere else on earth. When we went looking for the best luxury hotels in Las Vegas, we found extravagance in multiple doses. Firstly, choosing a luxurious place to rest our heads in Sin City allowed us to travel all over the world. Lake Como, the Big Apple, Paris, and even Venice — Vegas’ luxurious stays drew inspiration from them all. What’s more, they were not all located on the Strip, with some of them boasting relaxed, classic vibes in Downtown Vegas.
Our picks for the most luxurious Vegas hotels — yes, including the kitschy, themed hotels — all boast fabulous, OTT personalities of their own. Moreover, there’s something or the other that’ll delight every kind of traveler. That’s one of the best things we like about Las Vegas. Here’s our guide to the most magnificent and lavish hotels in Las Vegas, both on the Strip and beyond.

Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace
11
We were introduced to Caesar’s Palace in a rather offbeat way in the Hollywood movie Hangover, but the imagery stayed with us! The Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace within the behemoth (nearly 4,000 rooms) hotel is an exclusive-feeling pocket of zen smack sab in the middle of the Vegas chaos. It sits in the former Centurion Tower and is famed chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s first hotel. So, we were thrilled by the special attention we received at this precious boutique property. Besides the personal touches (tea on arrival), our favorite was the Nobu restaurant from where we could order room service anytime. Our favorite amenity, though? Caesar’s massive Qua Spa boasts a Nobu-exclusive spa menu, making this one of the best spa hotels in Las Vegas.
A simple Japanese portal followed by an elevator bank took us to this hotel-within-a-hotel. We loved the warmer, more residential feel that’s inspired by the Japanese art of “kintsugi.” What’s more, it’s home to some of the nicest and most original suites in the city. While the entry-level rooms, like the Deluxe King, offer some of the best deals on the Strip, the smaller suites, like the Sake, Hakone, and Penthouse suites, have VIP treatment at Nobu, personal sushi chefs, and media rooms. Since we were splurging, the 10,000-sq-ft Nobu Villa felt like up our alley. It came with a VIP omakase dinner at Nobu, a whirlpool, a garden, butler service, and limo transportation. Sigh.

Aria Resort & Casino

The sleek, curvilinear steel-and-glass towers that are the Aria Resort & Casino brought modernity to the average Vegas resort casino. We were impressed right off the bat, with the serene wall of water right before we stepped within the soaring lobby with monumental public art pieces. It felt like the very antithesis of the usual dark windowless casinos. The hotel has always had some of the best restaurants on the Strip, and the current ones — an epic brunch restaurant, a steakhouse, a brasserie, a food hall, and a cult-favorite dumpling palace — are no exception. What’s more, the incredibly graceful staff can deal with anything, and the spa is one of the best on the Strip. Don’t miss relaxing at the small and intimate co-ed balcony pool here, which offers fabulous views of the three pools below.
The sanctuary-like rooms and suites are high-tech to the hilt, but the Sky Suites and Sky Villas take luxury to a whole new level. Not only do they have their elevator and entrance, but they also have private pools and personal concierges. Furthermore, the desert-inspired Sky Suites also come with turndown gifts, butlers, and whatnot. We stayed in one of the one-bedroom Sky Suites, and let us be the ones to tell you, that it’s an exhilarating experience of a lifetime.

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Most romantic. Formerly the Mandarin Oriental, the now-Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas evokes the same sense of still refinement as it did in its former life. What’s more, the sense of calm is pervasive since this property is strictly non-smoking and non-gaming, which is one of the biggest reasons we chose to spend our romantic sojourn here. We especially loved the many intimate experiences here.
The 23rd-floor lobby boasted some of the most splendid entrance views in a Vegas hotel. Our favorite amenity here was the 8th-floor aquatic deck, where we’d usually enjoy a swim followed by a lounge on the private cabana with drinks from the pool bar. It was the most tranquil and sophisticated pool scene in Vegas! Later on, we even enjoyed the most coveted high tea in Vegas at the onsite Tea Lounge, followed by a mesmerizing mixology experience at the hotel bar. However, we were most impressed by the two-storied spa, which offered everything from red-light therapies and duet massages to a private Hammam for two. We even had a personal concierge to make us bookings and reservations for the most romantic things to do around.
“We couldn’t imagine enjoyed a cozy and romantic getaway in Vegas, until we stayed at the Waldorf. Romantic luxury at its finest!”
WOW Travel
The rooms and suites had a California-meets-Art Deco vibe, with gorgeous mountain and Strip views and deep soaking tubs sitting right next to glass walls. Our room also had lovely touches like full-sized eucalyptus bath salt containers, electric tea kettles, and intuitive screened remotes for controlling everything from lights to curtains.

Bellagio Resort And Casino

When the Lake Como-themed Bellagio Resort And Casino opened its doors in 1998, it made the other resorts with their erupting volcanoes and choreographed pirate battles look dated. Even after 25 years, the resort is still relevant due to its timeless and classic decor. This instant classic right in the middle of all the action boasts tens of thousands of flowers looked after by a dedicated team of horticulturalists. Even today, everyone, including us, pauses to gawk at the spectacular Bellagio Fountains, which are one of the world’s most famous fountains.
The spectacle is pervasive all over the resort, whether it was Wolfgang Puck’s Spago or the lakeside Le Cirque, where truffles were shaved tableside. Besides these two, the resort had six other restaurants, all of which are some of the best in the city. Plus, we got to reserve ahead and were able to get a table with magnificent views over the fountains. Moreover, it had all the requisite facilities of any swanky Las Vegas property, such as a fitness center, a decadent spa, and as many as five spacious swimming pools that gave it the feel of a massive Italian villa on the Riviera. Did we mention the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art for art enthusiasts? Yep.
After a slick renovation, Bellagio’s rooms currently draw inspiration from water, complete with tons of blue jewel hues, massive marble showers, and mother-of-pearl encircled backlit mirrors. Even the entry-level rooms are larger than most other Vegas rooms and there are tons of different categories, with the best being either the views of the fountains or the mountains.

Trump International Hotel Las Vegas

Affordable luxury. Can you imagine a Trump hotel offering affordable luxury? We didn’t think so too, until we stayed at the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas. This gleaming gold tower of a hotel stands tall at the northern end of the Vegas skyline and is a non-casino, non-smoking property, which is its highlight. It doesn’t even have a pool party scene, which makes it a rare retreat in Sin City. However, that didn’t mean that it was any less glamorous; the lobby is just as insanely big as other Sin City hotels, with shimmering chandeliers and soaring ceilings.
Despite the food and drink options being more limited than in other Vegas resorts, it’s rather welcoming in a simpler way. While the DJT restaurant serves all meals, along with cocktails, the rooftop pool place is a more casual place which we loved for our post-pool jaunts. However, both places have room service 24/7. There was also a massive 11,000-sq-ft spa and fitness center that overlooked the pool. But, the best bit was that all guests, notwithstanding their room choice, had a Trump Attaché each during their stay; think of it as elevated concierge services!
The rooms and suites might be less glamorous than those of other Vegas hotels, but they’re comfortable and spacious with luxe bathrooms, kitchens, and floor-to-ceiling windows with crazy good views of Sin City. If you’re looking for something indulgent, book the one-bedroom penthouse.

Wynn Las Vegas

Despite its size, the opulent Wynn Las Vegas was one of the most intimate and elegant luxurious hotels we came across in Sin City. When it opened in 2005, it redefined the resort casino concept with its private lakes and waterfalls, floral mosaic floors, sun-kissed atrium gardens, and the only golf course on the Strip. Even today, the place, along with its sister resort Encore, is in a constant state of glamorization, and we approve.
Once we’d scooped our jaws off the floor, we wanted to devour the intriguing lounging and dining scene. Besides a steakhouse, a casual poolside one, a classic Italian outpost, a Japanese, and a Mediterranean restaurant, the hotel is also home to the first Chinese restaurant in the country to get a Michelin star! Between Wynn and Encore, there are multiple jacuzzis and stunning pools, and they aren’t as crowded as the other pool party ones. Despite being a paid affair, don’t miss the in-room breakfast at the Wynn. Also, the staff? Excellent.
The rooms and suites boast a masculine 1940s look with Cubist-like artwork, warm wood accent walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of the mountains and the Strip. Plush beds, customizable and controllable lights, and luxe bathrooms complete the picture.

Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas

Do you think you know exactly what a Four Seasons looks like, then clearly you haven’t seen the glamazon that is the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. Ensconced on the 35th to 39th floors of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, this Four Seasons Sin City outpost doesn’t sound like a standalone resort, but it is. Imagine what we had at our fingertips: a valet entrance, lounge, bar, restaurants, and even an intimate spa. Yep.
One of the best hotel pools in Las Vegas lies here, and it was easy to see why. Open only to us Four Seasons guests, it was one of the most tranquil pool scenes we’d ever seen, and not just in Sin City. The spa, albeit small, is totally lovely, especially the all-natural wood that reminded us of the desert that surrounded us. A restaurant and a bar serve all meals, with the inside-outside main restaurant being one of the best places for power breakfasts. Did you know that we saw everyone from movie stars, casino execs, and even rock stars here? Yes!
Even entry-level rooms start at 500 sq ft, but all have floor-to-ceiling window views and an all-serene Art Deco-inspired design. The full marble bathrooms are especially luxurious, with mirrors with integrated TVs.

NoMad Las Vegas

Best boutique hotel. The interior boutique hotel of the Park MGM, NoMad Las Vegas, brings Old World European elegance and Parisian-inspired style to the Strip. We loved the grown-up, old-world luxury vibe here, complete with a dedicated entrance with a discreet red awning on the side of the Park MGM’s porte-cochère. It was like walking into some amazing secret hide-hole, thanks to the absence of an OTT lobby and the presence of a tranquil, tapestry and art-laden registration room.
We begin the list of amenities with the casino, which was skylit by Monte Carlo’s original Tiffany glass ceiling. One of our favorite spots on the property was the jaw-dropping NoMad Library restaurant, whose walls were lined with 25,000 books from the late David Rockefeller’s collection. After a drink at the opulent NoMad Bar, we’d head out to explore the Strip. The standout, although, was the third-floor roof deck and pool area, Jemaa, which was designed by Jacques Garcia. Awash in Majorelle Blue, the area even had oversized daybeds and wicker chaises, but the lure for us was the craft cocktails and the fab views and setting.
With just less than 250 rooms and suites, this boutique hotel sure felt intimate and exclusive. What’s more, they had the best minibars on the Strip, with an array of treats — think Haribo gummies, La Croix, Pepsi, and even etched Champagne coupes. Thanks to the standalone bathtubs and the moody color schemes, the digs are sure the sexiest in the city.

The Mansion at MGM Grand

Imagine an enclave of pleasure and privacy with 18th-century-inspired Italian architecture and the sensual riches of Tuscany. That’s the absolute luxury, service, and atmosphere at The Mansion at MGM Grand, which is one of the favorite staying spots for celebrities while visiting Sin City. The Mansions have separate facilities from the actual MGM Grand Hotel, including a stunning outdoor Italian Garden and a tranquil pool where hanging out didn’t seem like we were in Vegas at all. Not only that but also staying at the Mansions comes with perks like butlers, limos, and concierge services, personalized menus in the dining room, and even private spa treatments. Don’t miss the traditional afternoon high tea, which they even offered to serve in the privacy of our villa. And, of course, we had access to everything in the form of VIP reservations at MGM Grand’s restaurants.
If you were impressed by the facilities, wait till you see the actual “Mansions.” We had the choice of 29 individually designed Mediterranean-themed residences starting from 2,400 sq ft and going up to a whopping 12,000 sq ft. While 21 Atrium Villas had verandas/balconies overlooking the lush Italian gardens, the 8 private Garden Villas had direct garden access.

The Cromwell Hotel & Casino
2
There was something youthful about The Cromwell Hotel & Casino, a boutique-feeling property right in the heart of the Strip. Even though it had a civilized casino and was in the thick of things, it was one of the most personal luxurious stays we’d stayed at in a long, long time. That was evident right from the personalized check-in process at a bijoux reception, with follow-up texts to check on first impressions/room satisfaction. The crown jewel here, quite literally, is the chic seasonal rooftop pool area, Drai’s. Despite being open only between March and September, it’s hailed as one of the best rooftop pool hotels in Las Vegas. Plus, the pool complex at the neighboring Caesars Palace is open to guests all the time.
Despite having way fewer options than most other hotels (two restaurants), they’re enough and well worth visiting. While the casual Eatwell is perfect for breakfast and grab-and-go snacks, the flagship Italian eatery Giada boasts a fabulous menu and equally spectacular views of the Bellagio Fountains and the Strip. A casino and a fitness center wrap up the amenities here.
We loved the dark, brooding vibes of all the rooms, all of which also have decadent purple accents, oversized furnishings, chandeliers, hardwood floors, and spacious bathrooms. The textured walls on which the mirrors sit lend the room a very sensual look.

The Venetian Las Vegas

Most luxurious. Really? A Venice-themed resort? Despite being stereotypical, the Venetian Las Vegas is a great stereotype and defies it at the same time. Modeled after Venice, Italy, the thoroughly OTT resort boasts every imaginable facet of the classic Italian city. Think lush greenery, majestic water sculptures, and elaborate hand-painted ceilings. Even the lobby boasts a completely frescoed vaulted ceiling, with a huge gilded sphere held up by four golden women as the centerpiece. It’s OTT, and it doesn’t shy away from showing it.
We had the choice of four huge pools, all of which had loungers and cabanas to unwind and relax after a swim. Of course, the full-service spa is a huge draw, especially since it boasts a ton of extras that regular hotel spas don’t have, like acupuncture. Outdoor enthusiasts like us found the fitness center as exciting as the 40-ft rock wall, while shopaholics, art aficionados, and gaming nerds had fixes of their own: designer boutiques, an art gallery, and a 15,000-sq-ft gaming lounge. Did we mention that there were more than 40 restaurants here? It was like having every cuisine available on the entire planet!
With more than 7,000 luxurious rooms and suites to choose from, it’s not easy to pinpoint where to stay at the hotel so easily! Nevertheless, all stays include access to a long roster of events, including the scenic gondola rides that the hotel is now famous for. The best part was that our suite was very spacious, allowing our living area to turn into a hangout space with our friends to party the night away. What fun!
No wonder it’s also one of the most expensive hotels in Las Vegas.

Where to Stay in Las Vegas?
Las Vegas is more than just the Strip. It’s one of the world’s fastest-growing cities, with newer neighborhoods springing up as fast as you can imagine. So, where you stay depends a lot on what you’re looking for.
Are you looking to party the night away in Sin City? Or are you a first-time visitor to Las Vegas? For both these situations, there is no better place to stay than the Strip, the most (in)famous neighborhood in Las Vegas. Sitting right in the heart of the city, it’s home to some of the most famous casinos, hotels, bars, clubs, restaurants, and entertainment venues in the world. Think international DJs spinning tunes, sipping on drinks and exotic cocktails, celeb sightings, and more!
Secondly, there’s the South Strip, which is a stone’s throw from the actual Strip area. However, it’s low on all the action, allowing us to stay close to the fun but relax away from the bustle too. Next, there’s Downtown Las Vegas, a.k.a. DTLV, which sits just north of the Strip. It’s the central business district of Las Vegas, as well as its historic district. So, it’s not only close to the Strip but is also home to some amazing sights and attractions, including some of the things to do in Las Vegas.
Finally, there’s Sin City’s Arts District, which sits even further north of the Strip and is one of the most colorful and coolest neighborhoods in Las Vegas. Spanning 18 blocks, it’s the heart of the city’s arts and cultural scene. Here, we found a fantastic selection of local galleries, studios, indie shops, and boutiques.
What hotels do most celebrities stay in Las Vegas?
Many celebrities love the mansions at MGM Grand, which start from USD 5,000/night. Others also prefer the Wynn/Encore, the Bellagio, and the villas at Aria Sky Suites.
Are there invite-only hotel rooms or suites in Las Vegas?
Yes. These include the Palaces and Villas at Crockfords Las Vegas and at four hotels across the MGM Resorts brand, including the MGM Grand, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, and Aria.
Which is the most expensive hotel room in Las Vegas?
That would be the high-roller Empathy Suite on the 34th floor of the Palms Fantasy Tower, which costs USD 100,000/night.
