Kicking off this list is the Matterhorn Inn, a haven for both dogs and their owners planning to visit the Grand Canyon. Our stay at this hotel was amazing. By staying here, you’re promised spacious dog-friendly rooms with king-sized beds. What more could you ask for? A lot more! The real heartstopper is the private terrace. We loved spending our time there, and our dog clearly enjoyed the fresh mountain air. You might want to bring a cup of coffee there, too.
When we stayed at this Sedona luxury hotel with our dog, we were charged 25 USD every night, which was a reasonable price. Also, make sure to bring a dog travel crate, as the hotel requires pets to be crated when you’re not in the room. Another perk of staying here was the abundance of dog-friendly restaurants surrounding the inn. We never had trouble finding a place to grab a bite.

Among all of the top dog friendly hotels near the Grand Canyon, the Days Inn by Wyndham Williams is a standout. Two dogs? No problem. Heck, this hotel even welcomes cats. Also, we were surprised when we first arrived as there were no pet size restrictions at all. Good news for big dog breeds! Also, we didn’t have to worry about noisy elevators with excited paws as our pet-friendly room was on the ground floor. Potty breaks were a piece of cake.
Is there any pet fee? Yes, there is, but it’s only 25 USD per pet for each night you spend at the hotel. It didn’t break our bank, and we’re sure it won’t break yours. Although there isn’t any grassy area on the property, there’s one right behind the hotel. We didn’t mind this at all as it allowed us to have a morning walk. Best of all, the Grand Canyon itself is only an hour’s drive away, and the Grand Canyon Railway is just five minutes from the hotel.

On our last trip to Sedona, we had the chance to stay at the Arabella Hotel Sedona. Perfect for a day trip to the Grand Canyon, this hotel accepts two dogs of up to 50 lbs in the same room. Of course, there’s an additional pet fee, but it’s only 25 USD per night. Our dog was greeted with excitement upon arrival, which instantly put his tail in a wag. A+ for the staff members. Best with No Pet Fee. El Portal Sedona Hotel is another highly recommended accommodation for pet owners. In fact, it blew us away. When we arrived, our fido was greeted by name (this is always a huge plus for us), and our room had a special welcome basket overflowing with not only dog treats and biscuits but also cozy blankets and even poop bags. You basically don’t need to bring any of our pet’s essentials. Best of all, there’s no pet fee!
The hotel doesn’t just welcome dogs; it adores them. Some of the rooms have private outdoor patios, perfect for letting your furry pal sniff around and enjoy Sedona’s fresh air. There’s also a designated pet area outside, which was my dog’s favorite spot to stretch his legs and make some new friends. Only a little over an hour away from the Grand Canyon, the Drury Inn & Suites Flagstaff is another option for those searching for the perfect pet-friendly hotel near the Grand Canyon. Everyone at the hotel welcomed our dog with warm hugs and belly rubs. In case you’re wondering, it allows up to two dogs per room, with a combined weight limit of 80 lbs. We were surprised, as the weight limit is actually higher than many other hotels.
We got the room on the fifth floor, and it was amazing. Though we had to use the elevator, our dog didn’t show any signs of anxiety at all. Plus, our room was clean and spacious. Also, since the hotel was right on the NAU, it allowed us to have relaxing morning walks with our dog. There was even a pet station with waste bags on-site, which was a thoughtful touch.

You should let your dog try the Red Whine (relax, it’s a delicious broth for pups) that perfectly complements the peanut butter burger.
We booked the standard room, which was plenty big for us. The resort grounds are beautiful, with walking paths and grassy areas perfect for morning walks and evening strolls. Our dog loved sniffing out all the new smells. But the highlight of our stay was dining on the porch with the Pet Pals Package. Our little friend got to chow down on his own doggy dish while we enjoyed our meal.

The Sedona Real Inn & Suites is one of those places that go above and beyond for your furry travel buddy. That said, our stay here was a blast. It was big enough for the three of us (including my dog). We had so much space to sprawl out and relax, which was much needed, especially after exploring the Grand Canyon. Also, when we first entered our room, we were treated with a welcome basket filled with treats, bowls, and even a leash for my dog. It was definitely a nice gesture from the hotel.
Let’s be real. No matter how much you love your Fido, a me-time is still much needed during a trip. Thankfully, at this hotel, you can unwind at the pool without worrying about your dog, as they’re allowed to stay unattended in the room. But the highlight for my dog was the off-leash dog park on the property. It was a great place for him to burn off some energy. It even came with waste stations, so cleanup was a breeze.

Best Location. We truly can’t recommend the Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel enough, and many people see it as the best pet-friendly hotel in Grand Canyon. First of all, this hotel is only moments away from the Grand Canyon. Additionally, just outside is the Arizona Trail, a fantastic spot for an easy hike with your little friend. We found it to be the perfect place for a bathroom break with a view. That said, the hotel also features a wooded area, so you can take your dog there for a quick walk or let them relieve themselves.
This hotel warmly accepts two dogs of any size, which was a big win for us. Also, there are no breed restrictions! We did have to pay a pet fee of 50 USD, but it was worth it. Our dog could be a bit messy at times, but it was nice knowing that our room had vinyl flooring throughout, which was easier to clean up.
