Penzion Vila Prešeren

Kicking off our list of the best hotels Lake Bled Slovenia has to offer is none other than the Penzion Vila Prešeren. This is a stylish hotel that’s set in a 19th-century villa. During our stay, one of the things that amazed us the most was the restaurant. It offers Slovenian and international dishes that are guaranteed to make you full. For a romantic experience, you can request to have your food on the boat while enjoying the surrounding views.
There are only eight bedrooms on the property. But you can rest assured as each of them is fitted with everything you need and nothing short of comfortable. Our stay was especially very comfortable. Better yet, some rooms come with private balconies and separate living areas. And if you’re in the mood to venture out, there’s a bus station nearby. It took us less than a minute to get there.

Another great addition to this list is Hotel Kompas, which is set in the heart of Bled. This hotel blends nicely with the environment as it’s surrounded by the lake and the mountains. With a hillside location, no wonder many travelers return to this hotel. One of the most inviting spots on the property is the terrace. It’s the perfect place to kick back, relax, and forget about everything.
Here, both breakfast and parking are free. In addition to that, you can also take advantage of the indoor swimming pool, fitness center, as well as saunas. But if you want something more adventurous, we recommend going climbing or hiking. We’re glad the hotel has a nice bar, as we often went there to have a drink before bed. Speaking of which, each of the 95 rooms at this hotel comes with wood, either park or lake views.

Penzion Berc

The Penzion Berc is a quaint hotel that suits those who want a relaxing stay. Only a five-minute walk from Lake Bled, this hotel offers everything you need for an enjoyable stay. During our stay, we often used the free electric bikes to explore the surrounding area. Visiting Bled Castle and the restaurants in the vicinity was nothing but a breeze. But the highlight of the hotel has to be the relaxed garden. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the sun. Plus, there’s an outdoor kitchen as well.
At this hotel, there are 11 traditional rooms with rustic decorations and a seating area. All of them should be spacious enough for most travelers. However, for the best experience, we highly recommend the Suite, which features a private balcony. Included amenities include a coffee maker as well as a fridge. Also, this hotel has a restaurant that serves yummy local dishes as well as a fine collection of local wines.

Hotel Lovec

Set in the heart of Bled is Hotel Lovec. This hotel in Lake Bled is one of the best because of many reasons. For one, it’s only steps away from the lake and offers breathtaking views of not only the lake but also the surrounding mountains. The popular Bled Castle is only a short drive away, and so is Vintgar Gorge. We had the chance to visit the latter, and it was truly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. When we arrived, we were startled by the crystal-clear waters and refreshing waterfalls. Also, here’s a guide to visiting Vintgar Gorge. You’re welcome!
Raise your hand if you love freebies! Lucky for you, this hotel offers a lot! We were happy that we could park our car for free in the designated parking area, and the complimentary breakfast buffet was also a highlight. Additionally, guests can also take full advantage of the indoor pool and spa center for free. Furthermore, all of the rooms at this hotel are cozy. Some rooms also allow you to take a dip in a small in-room bathtub right beside the window.

Best Spa. If your ideal trip involves lots of pampering sessions in the spa, then you should look no further than the Rikli Balance Hotel. This contemporary hotel is home to the Živa Wellness Centre, which offers a wide variety of treatments for guests. The wellness center has a lot to offer, including premium massages, facial treatments, a Finnish sauna, as well as six swimming pools with views of Lake Bled. What more could you ask for?
While there are many spacious rooms on the property, we highly recommend the Premium Suite. It offers views of the lake, and based on our stay, every corner of the room was spotless! You can also find a big private balcony as well as a living area, making it the perfect option for families. Oh, during our stay, we were shocked that we could enjoy the breakfast buffet for free. That said, there are three restaurants in total, so make sure to try all of them.

Bled Rose Hotel

Best Restaurant. The Bled Rose Hotel is the perfect hotel for travelers who want to have a romantic time with their loved ones. Only a leisurely stroll away from the must-visit castle, this hotel knows a thing or two about spoiling its guests. You’ll never be bored as the indoor swimming pool, state-of-the-art gym, and spa are all waiting for you. However, for us, the show stealer is the restaurant. Open for both hotel and non-hotel guests, the restaurant offers delectable gastronomic creations that are made using natural ingredients.
Once you’ve savored everything at the restaurant, why don’t you retreat to your room? All rooms at this hotel are fitted with modern furniture but also have a vintage touch. Free high-speed Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and balconies are all standards. For the best experience, you should stay in the Lake Side Suite. As the name suggests, it’s on the lakeside. The extras include a minibar, a bigger living area, as well as two private balconies.

Adora Luxury Hotel

This hotel in Lake Bled should be your go-to option if you enjoy the finer things in life. The Adora Luxury Hotel is one of, if not the most luxurious hotel in the area. Set on the shore of the lake, it’s set in a 19th-century villa. When we arrived at this hotel, our jaws dropped. With Triglav Mountains behind the hotel, we enjoyed every single night at this hotel. Speaking of which, it’s also only a short distance away from the scenic spot of Mala Osojnica. Offering Insta-worthy panoramas of Lake Blad, it was a bit challenging for us to hike to the top. However, we’re glad to say that our effort wasn’t for nothing. Just take a look at the picture below!
Furthermore, the rooms on this property are luxuriously decorated with everything you could’ve imagined. Since we didn’t hold back, we booked the Prestige Suite. Though it cost us a lot, we didn’t regret our decision. This room is fitted with a small but romantic dining area overlooking the lake, a fancy marble bathroom with a bathtub, a massive living area, as well as a private balcony. We’re sure you’ll love staying at this hotel.

Hotel Triglav

Best Historic. What we have here is Hotel Triglav, one of the top historic hotels in Lake Bled, dating from the year 1906. One of the biggest selling points of this charming hotel is its location. It didn’t take us more than three minutes to reach the Bled Jezero train station on foot. Pretty impressive, isn’t it? In addition to that, the views that you can enjoy from this hotel are certainly worth the money. The handsome lake views are truly unmatched, especially if you enjoy them while sipping a cup of tea from the comfort of your room.
Every part of this hotel is smartly decorated with antique furniture and unique artwork. While we didn’t play piano, we loved spending our spare time in the lounge and watching other guests play the century-old piano. Also, we have to talk about the restaurant! It offers lip-smacking, traditional Slovenian menus as well as a nice collection of wine. And after filling your tummy, have a breath of fresh air in the garden.

Vila Bled

Best Boutique. Perfectly situated on the shores of the iconic Lake Bled is Vila Bled. Despite its name, this is a boutique hotel. This four-star accommodation is surrounded by lush gardens, and it took us only a short drive to reach Bled Castle from the hotel. It’s the oldest castle in Slovenia and a top attraction in Lake Bled.
Aside from its enviable location, we also love the amenities this generous hotel offers. We’re a sucker for freebies, so we love the fact that the hotel offers free parking and breakfast for its guests. Whenever we were bored and wanted to relax, we’d take a dip in the seasonal outdoor swimming pool. However, if you’re into something more active, you can compete with your friends on the tennis court instead. The rooms at this hotel are nothing short of cozy. Many of them let you start the day with the views of the lake. If you don’t mind spending more, you can stay in one of the suites, which has an additional living area. Don’t spend the whole day in your room, though. Make sure also to explore the hotel’s piano bar and cafe.

Overlooking the lake, Hotel Park is an intimate hotel that offers its guests an unforgettable trip. First of all, it took us only a short five-minute walk from the hotel to reach a bus stop. Getting around was never a problem for us. However, we rarely ventured out since the amenities at this hotel are stellar! Just take a look at the wellness area! It boasts a huge heated indoor pool from where you can admire the beautiful lake. In addition to that, you can also work up a sweat in the modern gym, which is equipped with the latest equipment.
All of the rooms at Hotel Park are pretty laid-back. They reminded us of home. Each room is fitted with not only modern furnishings but also other standards like a flat-screen TV and free toiletries. When you’re in the mood for a drink, feel free to visit the hotel’s rustic bar. Or you can also have a cup of coffee in the cafe’s outdoor area. But if you want something fun and challenging, we recommend checking out the ski centers around the hotel.

Grand Hotel Toplice

Best Overall. Among all the best hotels Lake Bled Slovenia has to offer, we think nothing can touch the Grand Hotel Toplice. This palatial hotel, aside from offering mesmerizing views of Lake Bled, also offers top-notch facilities and services. One of our favorites is the spa center, which can be found on the ground floor. During our stay, we had the chance to pamper ourselves in the spring water pool. If you want, you can spend a good minute in the sauna or enjoy the Turkish hammam. That’s not all, as a variety of beauty treatments are available, too.
“Though our stay was short, we could tell that the staff members were amazing. The service was flawless, and the spa was among the most beautiful we have ever seen.”
WOW Travel
The rooms and suites at this hotel are impeccable. The solid wooden floors transport you back to the 90s, and the windows allow you to take in the views whenever you want. Plus, most rooms come with a balcony, which is certainly a nice addition. While there’s a flat-screen TV, we never used it because we were too busy watching sunsets on the balcony. Also worth mentioning are the hotel’s two on-site restaurants offering gastronomic menus and international cuisine.
