Our first recommendation is Hôtel Henry II Beaune Centre. First, let’s talk about the location. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the train station, so no hassle dragging our bags around. Every morning, we would kick off our day with the hotel’s buffet breakfast. Think flaky pastries, fresh coffee, and enough variety to fuel a full day of wandering. Best Wine Bar. For wine connoisseurs like us, there’s no better place to be than the Solstice Beaune – Hôtel et Terroir. This stunning hotel is housed in a beautifully renovated 19th-century wine house, just a short walk from the Hospices de Beaune and the train station. Staying here, we could explore the historic streets without breaking a sweat.
Though the location is charming, the real highlight is the on-site Solstice Bar, hidden in the old vaulted cellars. If you love wine, it’s an experience in itself. Sitting under those 19th-century arches with a glass of Burgundy in hand felt almost magical. The sommeliers were generous with their knowledge, walking us through appellations, terroirs, and stories of the local winemakers. Between tastings, we shared plates of tapas reimagined with fresh regional ingredients, each bite pairing beautifully with what was in our glass.

This lovely property sits just across from the brand-new Cité des Vins and only a short walk from Beaune’s city center, which meant we could head out on foot and explore without worrying about the car.
Our days fell into a lovely rhythm: exploring Beaune’s streets and vineyards, then coming back to recharge at the hotel. One evening, we lingered over dinner at Monaka, the in-house restaurant, where the wine list read like a love letter to Burgundy. On slower afternoons, we slipped into full relaxation mode, lounging by the heated outdoor pool, booking a spa treatment, and basically giving ourselves permission to do nothing.
Furthermore, the one-bedroom suite we booked quickly became our little haven. It was spacious, comfortable, and had just the right mix of modern style and natural touches. We spent more time than we would like to admit on the balcony with a glass of wine in hand, and we may or may not have taken extra-long baths just because we could.

If you want to be part of the city, you’ll want to stay at Maison du Colombier. The building goes all the way back to the 1500s, which gave it so much character, but the best part was its location. We were right in the middle of Beaune, just a short walk from the Hospices Civils and plenty of little shops and cafés. It made wandering around the old town so easy and fun.
We booked one of the Studios, and it turned out to be the perfect base. It had a comfy little sitting area, a dining table, and a kitchenette with everything we needed to throw together a quick meal. The bathroom came with slippers and toiletries, which was a nice touch, and we couldn’t get enough of the church view from our window.
What really made the stay special, though, was the restaurant downstairs. A couple of nights a week, they set up the terrace for dinner, and we grabbed a table with some wine and charcuterie. It was easily one of our favorite evenings in Beaune. And since the place is pet-friendly, it has an extra welcoming vibe.

Best Dining. As one of the best hotels in Beaune France, Maison 1896 made sure we had the best of Beaune right at our feet. The hotel is located conveniently in the city center, just steps from the Hospices Civils de Beaune, so we could wander out the door and be surrounded by history and wine shops in minutes. Even the train station was close enough for an easy walk, which made getting in and out a breeze.
With only 16 rooms, the place has this cozy, boutique vibe that instantly feels personal. We stayed in a Superior King Room on the upper floor, and it was the perfect little retreat. The room had everything we needed: soft robes, a big tub and shower, coffee and tea for the mornings, even a minibar stocked for a late-night glass of Burgundy. The view of the city rooftops from our window was also a bonus.
The real standout, though, was dinner at Slanted Door, the hotel’s restaurant. Charles Phan’s take on Vietnamese food, crafted with local Burgundy ingredients, completely blew us away. It was unexpected, but it made so much sense once we tried it. The bright, layered flavors paired with the richness of the region were astonishing. Totally a must try!

We stayed at Abbaye de Maizières during our time in Beaune, and honestly was one of our best experiences. The hotel is set in a 12th-century abbey tucked along a cobblestone street right in the center of town. It’s just a couple of minutes from the wine museum and a short walk from the train station, which made it super convenient.
Though exploring the city was fun, exploring the hotel itself was a highlight. Dinner in the stone-vaulted cellar restaurant was unforgettable. It was like a secret dining spot hidden underground. Best Value for Money. La Maison des Courtines was one of those places that immediately felt special. Tucked inside a 17th-century mansion, it has just the right mix of old-world charm and modern polish. We loved that everything in Beaune was so close. Within 10 minutes, we could wander over to the wine museum and still be back “home” in time for an afternoon coffee.
What stood out most was how easy they made everything for us. There’s a little office if you need to catch up on work, and a reading room when you just want to slow down with a book. The staff were also amazing. They were super friendly and happy to help us plan our days. They even rent out bikes, which is the best way to explore Beaune if you ask us. And if you’re into wine (who isn’t, here?), they’ve got their own shop.

Hôtel Le Cep & Spa is all about celebrity treatments. Located in the heart of Beaune, the hotel has this old-world charm thanks to its historic buildings from the 14th to 18th centuries. We found ourselves wandering through stone courtyards and little passageways, soaking in the atmosphere before even reaching our room. It was a true Burgundy experience.
Our room turned out to be just as charming. Each one here is named after a Burgundy wine, which already won us over, and the décor leaned into antiques in a way that felt cozy instead of outdated. The mix of vintage furniture, modern touches, and a bathroom with both a proper bath and shower made it one of our favorite places on the property to hang out in.
Food-wise, the restaurant Loiseau des Vignes completely lived up to the hype. Every dish was beautifully done and, of course, the wine list was everything we’d expect in Burgundy. After indulging, we treated ourselves to the spa, Marie de Bourgogne, where a massage was exactly what we needed before heading out to explore more of Beaune.

Most Tranquil. Cèdre Beaune, A Beauvallon Hotel sits just across from the old ramparts and only a short walk from the famous Hospices, but inside the gates, it’s all about peace and greenery. One of our favorite aspects of this hotel is its garden, featuring tall, century-old trees. It was our go-to place to enjoy our spare time with a glass of wine in hand.
Food and relaxation were big parts of our stay, too. Breakfast on the garden terrace set the tone for the day, and in the evening we treated ourselves to dinner at Clos du Cèdre, the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant. The dishes were creative and beautifully done, and the staff helped us pick out a local Burgundy wine that made the whole meal unforgettable. To top it off, we slipped into the Spa Nuxe tucked away in the vaulted cellar.
For our stay, we got the Prestige Mezzanine, and it was a highlight. It’s spread across two levels, with a bright upstairs space that has a sofa bed and desk, and a bedroom tucked neatly downstairs. We loved the thoughtful touches, too, like the Marshall speaker, Nespresso machine, and not one but two flat-screen TVs.

Best Luxury. While the other top hotels in Beaune France are great, nothing can touch L’Hôtel. Staying at this 19th-century mansion right on Place Carnot, we were just a short walk away from everything we wanted to see: the Burgundy Wine Museum, local cellars, and of course, Maison Alex Gambal Winery. Better yet, you can explore the surrounding area with the hotel’s electric bikes!
After days of wandering through vineyards and cobblestone streets, it was such a treat to come back here and slow down. Some afternoons, we would sit out on the terrace with a glass of wine, other times we would curl up in the lounge and watch TV like we were at home. The courtyard was another little surprise. It was quiet and peaceful, almost like our own private hideaway. And then there was the restaurant, easily one of the best meals of our trip. Everything from the food to the wine pairings felt so thoughtful.
Here, you’ll find 11 rooms and 6 suites. Ours, the Superior Annex, was right above the restaurant. No elevator meant a bit of a climb to the second floor, but once inside, we forgot all about that. The space had this elegant, old-world feel. Think mahogany furniture, Italian paintings, and marble touches. We also loved the little luxuries, like the Hermès toiletries in the bathroom!
