As the name suggests, Hotel Central is located in the city center. It has a great location in terms of public transportation. At the same time, we had a room with a great view of the surroundings. The hotel isn’t very far from the lakeside, yet, it’s still closer to the city center. It’s a great middle-ground option between the two areas, so we liked its location. Our room was so comfortable and gave us some peaceful vibes. It was all in white, and the lights were warm.

The size of the room was also a big plus. We loved how cozy the room and the whole hotel were. Moreover, the hotel was so clean and well-maintained, as if it had just been renovated. They offer a complimentary delicious breakfast at the on-site restaurant every day. There is a variety of options and some drinks as well to refresh before our day in Bregenz.

4-Länder-Hotel Deutschmann

4-Länder-Hotel Deutschmann is a bit farther from the city center, but the lake is easily accessible from this hotel. We were lucky to stay here during the festive season of Bregenz. The hotel offered free buses to attend the festival events, so we didn’t worry about transportation at all. Moreover, we went on excursion trips to Lake Constance nearly every day as it was too close to the hotel.

Reaching other cities in Austria as Hard is the easiest from where we were staying. It’s just a few minutes away from the hotel by car, so we could explore more of Austria while staying in the city. There is a car park behind the hotel for guests who prefer car rentals instead of public transportation. Also, we could rent bicycles and motorcycles to enjoy a slower tour of the area. Whether you have a car, bicycle, or motorcycle, Hotel Gasthof Lamm has free parking for all types of vehicles. We went for bicycles, of course, to enjoy the views of Lake Constance along the cycling route there. This location is only a few minutes from our hotel. We rented bikes for a couple of days at a good price and parked them in the hotel’s free parking instead of renting by hour. The hotel is perfectly located at a midpoint between several popular spots, such as the Lake, Vorarlberg Museum, and the Bregenz Festival Theatre.

During our stay in the hotel, we enjoyed our breakfast, which included authentic Austrian plates. We also tasted one of the best homemade ice creams there. The hotel has a wide garden where we could sunbathe in the morning, but it’s available during summer only. If you aren’t into Austrian food, the restaurant serves international breakfast, similar to most other hotels. We had a wonderful few days here in this hotel, and we plan to come back again, especially as the rooms were wide and so comfy.

Best location. Hotel Weißes Kreuz isn’t far from the previous hotel; however, we prefer Weißes Kreuz Hotel when it comes to location because of its proximity to the train station. We were literally at the hotel’s door once we were out of the train station. So, we recommend this hotel for those who won’t rent a car and who need direct transportation from and to the airport.

The location wasn’t the only thing we liked here. The staff, especially the reception people, were so helpful. They gave us a lot of information about places here in Bregenz and how to reach them via train or bus. They also recommended some nearby restaurants and shops. Speaking of it, we enjoyed some drinks at the KreuzBar inside the hotel. One other thing people usually praise this hotel for is the WiFi connection. We didn’t think it was a thing until we tried it on our first night. It was so speedy and never interrupted.

Hotel Garni Bodensee

Hotel Garni Bodensee has several room options that accommodate from one to four people. We were a group of four. Thus, we booked a comfortable room for four, and we didn’t feel the room was small at all. The beds felt plush and comfy; even the sofa bed was so plush. Our room had a balcony with a nice view of the Alpenwildpark Pfänder. If you want to save money, you can book an economy room that is a bit smaller and has no balcony. Yet, you’ll still get the same great services as the hotel.

We had breakfast in the hotel every day. We liked it, though there weren’t too many varieties. It was a traditional continental breakfast, but it tasted delicious and fresh. There were more than 10 restaurants in the same area around the hotel for lunch. Also, the hotel is close to the train station; we walked to the nearest one, and it took us around 10 minutes. From there, we could reach all the popular spots we were up to. When it was time to leave, we didn’t take the train as the hotel offered airport shuttle service.

Hotel Schwärzler

Hotel Schwärzler is a family-run hotel in Bregenz. We liked how friendly the staff was and felt like we were staying at our friends’ home. The building looked so nice and oldish, check out their official website to see how the area around looks. We didn’t need to go out to search for places to eat as we already had two on-site restaurants. They served different food and some traditional Austrian dishes. We also stayed in the summer garden area to enjoy the sun and the breeze of the summer season.

We had several activities to enjoy inside the hotel. The gym and sauna, for example, are complimentary to the room. We could hit the gym at any time of the day. Further, we could cycle on the bike trails around the hotel for some outdoor activities. The hotel isn’t in the city center or on the lakeside, however, we could reach the location easily. Although this isn’t the best location we stayed in, we believe it’s worth a trial as the hotel is so chic and inviting. We were left with a positive impression and were willing to visit the hotel again.

If you’re looking for peace of mind, Hotel Germania is a perfect place to stay. It conveys the peaceful vibes of Austria, one of the most peaceful countries in the world. We had the most peaceful moments here in the hotel’s spa area, moving from the sauna to the infra-red cabin and then to the steam bath. All of these services come at no additional cost when you book any of the hotel rooms.

Further, the hotel is located on a quiet street even though it’s just a couple of minutes’ walk from Bregenz Hafen train station. We could enjoy quiet and calm nights after long days of exploring the city. The rooms have plush bedding, which also added to our restful nights. On the next morning, we had a delicious breakfast in the garden. This is where they usually serve breakfast. The views there are so amazing, and we could also see the lake. It’s less than 1 km from the hotel, so we walked to the nearest shore.

Best breakfast. Although Hotel Messmer is located in a very busy area where we could find lots of food and drinks, we preferred the hotel’s restaurant for breakfast and the bar for drinks. The Weinstube restaurant serves Austrian and international dishes for breakfast. We had something new to try every day. Moreover, we had drinks and tasteful cocktails at the attached bar. It isn’t just for the friendly setting; they also know how to blend wonderful cocktails.

The staff were so friendly that they made our stay more enjoyable. They work hard to keep us satisfied, whether by offering help and suggesting local trips or by doing their job of keeping the room clean and filling empty toiletries and other amenities. Overall, we liked the hotel services, the design of our room, and the spacious bathroom. Cleanliness was another big plus for us.

Best for leisure activities. We never got bored at JUFA Hotel Bregenz, even if we spent the whole day there. The hotel has so many activities to do, whether indoors or outdoors. We were a bit tired the first day we arrived, so we decided to spend the rest of the day at the hotel. We spent the time playing table tennis and some interesting board games inside the hotel. At night, we could relax in the courtyard area with comfortable seating to enjoy nature.

On the next day, we wanted to enjoy a few laps in water, so we headed to the public pool near the hotel. The hotel gives access to three public pools, one indoor. Next, we rented bikes to wander around, the hotel has shaded parking for bikes, thus, we didn’t have to worry about where to park the bikes. For food, we had breakfast at the hotel and, on some days, dinner as well. It’s one of the best hotels in Bregenz, Austria, that serves mouthwatering hot dishes for lunch and dinner.

Best value for money. Hotel Ibis Bregenz is located in the city center and a few steps away from the Bregenz Railway Station. Being at the city’s heart, we could shop and get groceries and necessities easily. The shops are scattered around, and no need to ride or take a bus to get our basic needs.

We had a standard room that was very clean and comfortable. The windows were large, so the room was well-lit with natural sunlight every morning. Further, it had all the needed amenities inside, and the bathroom was also well-equipped and very clean. As for the breakfast, it was very basic but mouthwatering. We didn’t feel like we wanted to have breakfast outside. Best of all, the staff were so helpful and friendly.

It isn’t the cheapest hotel we stayed in, yet, the services and amenities provided were worth every penny. First of all, the hotel has a large car and bike parking area. It’s cheaper than other private car parks of other hotels. Next, we could choose from several options of accommodation such as standard rooms, suites, and executive suites. Luckily, the Grand Hotel was one of those. Shout out to the chef of the DIVVY restaurant there. They have one of the most delicious meals in Austria. The buffet breakfast was flawless, and everything tasted great. Further, having dinner or lunch in the restaurant greatly satisfied our taste buds. On top of that, we had the best cocktails at the bar. They were prepared with so much love and expertise.
