The guestrooms at Best Western Premier are all well-appointed and taste-filled. For a more lavish staying experience, you may book the Deluxe Room or Suite. They’re bigger and offer a bigger living area as well as a private balcony.

Another appeal of Best Western Premier Hotel Slon is the wellness area. During our stay, we managed to visit the gym a few times. We found everything we needed, from Technogym machines to free weights and more. So, don’t be shy to step inside the gym if you want to work out. As in many other hotels, these facilities are accessible to guests free of charge. Meanwhile, to rejuvenate your body and soul after a hectic day, head to the spa area and enjoy one of their nine amazing Thai massage treatments.

When it comes to food, L Bistro & Bar at Exe Lev has Ljubljana pancakes and Vodnik salads that are second to none. Both are perfect for those who crave more leisurely meals. We ordered both and were left smacking our lips and leaving nothing on our plates! But if you don’t have much time, allow us to suggest their pastries and salads. They’re fantastic for a quick refuel and give you a little hint about Ljubljana delicacies. Just dropping in for a drink? No problem; this chic diner also has an impressive array of wines, cognacs, and signature cocktails.

This deluxe lodging establishment features a soaring glass facade, creating an excellent setting that all lavish travelers dream of. A stay in their luxurious rooms will definitely be a memorable one. Relax on a silky bed as you admire the beautiful landscapes of The Dragon City. After a day of exploration, we often ended our day indulging in the marble-covered bathroom, filled with high-class toiletries. As one of the top luxury hotels in Ljubljana, Slovenia, a high-speed wireless internet connection is available throughout the property.

When it’s time for a feast, head over to B-Restaurant & Bar. Set at the top of the InterContinental Ljubljana, this chic eatery serves appetizing international and Slovenian cuisine. Savor it all as you sit in one of their cushy chairs, looking up at Ljubljana’s beautiful skyline through the glass walls. For a more elegant dining experience, there’s the Bloom Lounge. This voguish eatery offers a series of toasty coffee and al fresco snacks. During our trip, this grayish dining venue was our go-to spot on the property for a glass of cocktail in the afternoon.

Some of the must-visit attractions near the hotel include the National Gallery of Slovenia and the Golovec Astronomical Observatory.

Every morning, we found ourselves waking up to the striking landscape of Ljubljana set right before our eyes. The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Ljubljana offers impeccable guestrooms with sizeable windows overlooking the city skyline. Have a great recess in a living space with a calming earth tone. The minimal elegant decor makes everything feel more spacious. We also enjoyed the contemporary conveniences such as LED TV and high-speed wireless internet access. As one of the top accommodations in Ljubljana, they also provide well-being workspaces and orthopedic beds.

Breakfast is served at the Plaza Restaurant each morning. Experience a range of excellent menus with local and international flavors. For a more contemporary feel, there’s the Plaza Cafe. We were addicted to their tasty snacks and substantial drink menu. When it’s time to head out, take a quick bus ride to Tripe Bridges. It’s a classic construction connecting the modern city of Ljubljana with the Old Town district. This one definitely deserves a spot on your to-do list while in Ljubljana.

We were also very thrilled as our furry companion was allowed to stay with us.

The fascinating Preseren Square, Triple Bridges, and Old Town are just a couple of minutes away. Since we didn’t mind traveling further, we managed to reach the historical Ljubljana Castle in 20 minutes. It’s arguably the city’s most iconic attraction. The Ljubljana Guided Walking/Funicular Tour got us to the top for a splendid 360-degree view of the city.

Furthermore, all guestrooms here carry a contemporary style with minimalist décor. You’ll find a funky mural inspired by the magnificent Ljubljana Castle. It was created by local genius artist Azram1107, who is also responsible for some hip installation art on the hotel’s rooftop and the entire city.

As its name suggests, this hotel occupies a top location at the epicenter of the capital. See and experience all of the best things Ljubljana has to offer as you stay at this lively inn. Less than a mile is the famous Preseren Square and the unique Triple Bridges. Interested in shopping, savoring, or socializing? It took us only 10 minutes to reach the Central Market, a hive of color and activity. Admire the great work of architect Joze Plecnik and sample some of the local produce in this amazing district!

Best for Families. If you’re planning a family vacation to Ljubljana, you may want to consider staying at the Atelier Hotel. This three-star property is within easy reach of the Ljubljana Zoo. It’s a small complex that would be perfect for spending time with kids. They can learn to feed the animals or simply stroll around and admire them from a safe distance. Furthermore, Atelier occupies an ideal spot in the city’s central district, perfect for exploring other top sights in Ljubljana. The famous City Museum is less than a mile away, as is the fascinating Suklje Wine Bar and Cankar Hall.

A continental breakfast is served daily in the lobby area. Unfortunately, they have no Vegetarian, Vegan, or gluten-free offerings here. But if you’re craving a more fulfilling culinary experience, a few steps from here is HillBilly’s BBQ SmokeHouse. This well-known local pub has an array of mouthwatering meat-based dishes. We enjoyed the food and were lucky enough to get to know the locals a little bit more. They’re friendly, and talking to them allows you to get some interesting insights about hidden gems in Ljubljana.

Grand Hotel Union Eurostars

It’s hard not to be impressed when you’re at the Grand Hotel Union Eurostars. This splendid inn has stood the test of time since its inception in 1905 and is considered by many to be one of Slovenia’s most iconic architectural achievements. Standing majestically on Miklosevica Street, this 4-star hotel was our grand gateway to the fascinating medieval charm of the Old Town district. Furthermore, you can become a part of history yourself by adding to the length of the Grand Hotel Union guest list. It’s filled with the most notable names from the film and music industry. Some royalties have even set foot in this imposing construction, including the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Nowadays, the Grand Hotel Union Eurostars is an art nouveau lodging popular with celebrities, VIPs, and lavish travelers who appreciate deluxe comfort set in a peaceful atmosphere. Whether you choose spacious suites, well-furnished rooms, or self-catering studio apartments, a stay here is guaranteed to be an everlasting experience. All of the living spaces at Grand Hotel Union are extremely well located, some even boasting the iconic landscape of Castle Ljubljana. Have an excellent sojourn in a spacious room with simple lines and elegant decor. Just like most hotels in the city, you can enjoy some tasteful conveniences such as free WiFi, flat-screen TV with international channels, and flexible mattresses.

When it comes to dining, the Grand Hotel Union Eurostars will satisfy your palate with a variety of international and Slovenian delights. Urban Boutique Hotel pledge to offer you a pleasant stay at a reasonable price. We felt the hotel’s warm and efficient service immediately upon our arrival, as one of the hotel staff escorted us to our room. We had an excellent recess in the spacious living quarter, filled with a number of delightful amenities. You can also stay hydrated with complimentary fresh juice and water. Catch some emails or just browse the internet with free Wi-Fi networks. If you think it’s too early to lie down on your soft mattress; sit back and enjoy the picturesque landscape of The Dragon City on your private balcony.

For some excellent food and drinks, make your way to the Urban Lounge. This all-year dining venue is the perfect place to entertain guests or entertain some business colleagues. Just like restaurants in the best hotels in Ljubljana, it serves a bunch of delightful meals, snacks, and beverages. We highly recommend coming in the afternoon. Best Location. When it comes to location, Austria Trend Hotel Ljubljana is one of the most excellent lodging alternatives in the Slovenian capital. It only took us a few minutes to reach the downtown area and the famous Tromostovie Bridge. And just within a stone’s throw, we found the Stozice Sports Park Arena – a state-of-the-art structure that hosts concerts, as well as basketball and handball events. There are so many things for you to explore around the hotel.

This four-star hotel offers perfect lodging in a wrap of luxury. It boasts an impeccable spa and wellness center for those who love to take care of their bodies. It features a whirlpool bath, bio sauna, Finnish Sauna, and hammam. Furthermore, the guest rooms are elegantly decorated and packed with contemporary conveniences such as a minibar, a flat-screen TV, and a safe. In addition, there’s a fitness center filled with state-of-the-art equipment and a jogging track.

Technically, the NEU RESIDENCES smart stay isn’t a hotel. However, it’s such a good accommodation option that we must include it on this list! If somehow most of the hotels are fully booked, and you want to experience what it feels like living in Ljubljana like a local, it’s worth considering. First of all, this apartment is set right in the heart of the city. We stayed here for a day, and we weren’t too far from places like Ljubljana Castle. The train station was easily accessible, too.

When it comes to facilities, you can expect the standard facilities offered by most hotels. Those who want to relax their bodies and minds can take a relaxing dip in the outdoor swimming pool. Grab your sun hat and towel for swimming, and have a blast! Do you want to chill and feel the sun? Then the terrace is the place to be! Meanwhile, those who need a drink or two can visit the bar. Of course, with the apartment’s free Wi-Fi, you can always stay connected 24/7.

Now, whether you’re staying in the Studio or Executive Apartment, you’re promised a wonderful stay. Every room is immaculately clean and equipped with modern furniture. You can expect standard in-room amenities like a flat-screen TV, free toiletries, a dining area, and more. We stayed in the Executive One-Bedroom Apartment and were spoiled by the views of the castle. But if you’re here with your friends, you can book the two or three-bedroom apartment instead.

Despite its status as the capital city of Slovenia, the city is quite compact and easy to navigate. Most of the best hotels in Ljubljana, Slovenia, are concentrated in Old Town, a crowded quarter with cobblestone streets, winding alleyways, and captivating restaurants. It’s also home to Preseren Square, the city’s major meeting point, which is also featured on our list of the top things to do in Ljubljana.

For those traveling on a shoestring, there are several affordable alternatives for the best hotels in Ljubljana in the Trnovo district. Located in the south of the downtown area, this quarter is known as one of the trendiest. When we were here, we saw plenty of students and young adults in the area. There’s a lively Trnfest festival every August. While at the KUD France Presern atrium, you can enjoy music performances and theater shows every afternoon. 

But if you think Trnovo isn’t hip enough, make your way north toward Metelkova. We were surprised by the streets lined with graffiti depicting Slovenian history, culture, and politics. For exciting performances every afternoon, go straight to Metelkova Mesto. Looking for a more peaceful atmosphere? Head to the west side and unwind at Tabor Park. If you want, you can also hang out with the locals in one of the exciting shops and restaurants around!

You may also want to consider looking for hotels in the Kozese area. This district is often a favorite among tourists who crave a city lifestyle with natural surroundings. One of the popular spots here’s the Kozeze Pond, a public space with gorgeous walking trails. For those who prefer more thrilling activities, try an exciting morning hike at Roznik Hill.

Based on our experience, we agree with Brogan Abroad that two days should be enough to explore Ljubljana. Of course, you’re welcome to stay longer if you want to explore everything the city has to offer.
