The best thing we liked about Holiday Club Turun Caribia is the pool. It has a different design that gives the feeling of infinity pool. It seems bigger than it is. Best of all, it’s never too crowded as the hotel itself isn’t usually crowded. Don’t jump to the conclusion that it isn’t a good hotel since it isn’t at full capacity. The thing is, it’s larger than hotels of the same capacity, so it always seems quiet and not full. Plus, the staff did a good job of keeping us content all the time during our stay.

We were also taken by the spa center in this hotel. It’s heaven! We never felt so relaxed as this time. We had to pay for the spa day, yet it’s totally worth it. You’ll miss a lot if you don’t try the spa there at least once. If you have kids, there are special kids’ pools with small slides and fun games to amuse the kids. When we’re done with our laps in the pool, we lounge in front of the green scenery we can see wherever we’re seated in the hotel.

Ruissalo Spa Hotel

Best views. Ruissalo Spa Hotel is located on Ruissalo island, where we enjoyed a couple of calm and quiet days. We missed a lot in this fast lifestyle we’re living now. This hotel is the farthest from the city center, yet, we didn’t regret the traveling distance. Anyway, it’s less than a 30-minute drive from the city center, so it isn’t a big deal.

The forests hugging the rive is a view we were ready to spend hours just to sleep and wake up on. Since our main concern was the view, we wanted to glimpse the rooms of the hotel to see what each room overlooks. So, we checked their official website to see photos of the rooms. The spa is another experience we didn’t want to miss. The spa in this accommodation in Turku, Finland, is one of the best. It has a panoramic view of the forest and the sea. So relaxing, though.

Park Hotel Turku

Park Hotel Turku is a different thing, it’s a very cozy hotel with oldish vibes as if we went back to the medieval era. We felt very peaceful during our stay in the hotel. The furnishings are colored in woodish brown, and the lights are all warm yellow lights to exaggerate the vintage style. The paintings on the walls and the chandeliers are all designed to match the old style of the room. Even more, the building itself, from the outside, looked so oldish. However, the services and amenities weren’t as old as the building or the rooms. We didn’t. It was an old place that needed more effort to feel at ease.

The hotel is located in the city center, yet it wasn’t noisy at all. We could reach the hotel easily via bus or train. It’s a few minutes walk from there. We love how the staff there takes care of small things, such as the kind of plants in the outdoor area that look vintage, similar to everything else in the hotel. Even more, there are real plants in the window of each room; this is so lovely. Further, the breakfast there was very tasty, and there was a variety of choices to satisfy all taste buds. They knew how to cook authentic Finnish food to keep us waiting for breakfast every morning.

Scandic Julia

Now, with the total opposite of the previous hotel in Turku, Scandic Julia is a very modern hotel with all the amenities we need and many more. It’s a suitable option for business travelers. Our room was so comfortable, and the working desk and the chair were similarly very comfy. They also have a meeting room that you could rent. We weren’t on a business trip, just a vacation, and we found this hotel suitable. Even if you have children, this hotel is a top choice as they have many playgrounds and toys for kids. Hence, this hotel is designed to serve guests no matter what travel purpose they’re here for.

The hotel has many more to offer; for example, we rented free bikes from the hotel and had a great short trip to explore the area around. There is a sauna inside where we can relax our muscles after a long tiring day. It was so clean, and we had no comments on it. The on-site restaurant also serves a very delicious complimentary breakfast. Best of all, the staff was so friendly, and they helped us whenever we had any questions about places or locations. They arranged a private car for us when we were leaving to reach the airport easily as we had too much luggage.

Solo Sokos Hotel Turun Seurahuone

Solo Sokos Hotel Turun Seurahuone is located in an old building in the oldest city in Finland. However, we didn’t feel it was old, and all the amenities looked modern. On the contrary, the hotel looked like it had been recently refurbished to meet the standards of most hotels in Turku, Finland. The room was spacious enough for us and very stylish. We liked the warm lighting and the wall painting of the room. The wooden furniture has some black accents that make the room look classier. Plus, our room was spotless every day, as if it was our first day.

We had the chance to try the breakfast several times, and it was so mouth-watering. They had a good variety of food, so we didn’t get bored. We also had lunch, which wasn’t part of our reservation, and we didn’t regret it. Further, the afternoon drinks at the lounge bar were very refreshing. To ensure we tried everything, we had a gym workout on one of the days during our accommodation there, and it went very well. The gym is also modern and has the same style as the hotel.

Scandic Hamburger Börs

This time, we were in another city in Finland before heading to Turku. We were looking for a close hotel to the airport that is easy to reach via public transportation. Moreover, we wanted a modern hotel that offers a luxurious feeling. We found Scandic Hamburger Börs, which had all that we needed. We noticed that this hotel is large compared to other hotels here. However, we didn’t feel that this decreased the quality of the services there. The staff were capable of handling all the guests in a very professional way.

Furthermore, our room was so comfy; it had warm, cozy lights, speedy WiFi, and a spacious bathroom. We also loved the continental breakfast so much. Our room overlooked the city, the normal view of most hotels in Turku city centre. The rooftop bar had a better view of the city from an elevated floor. Speaking of the floors, the elevators we used to get up to the rooftop bar are the fastest. This is one thing not all people will notice, but it really makes a difference.

Hotelli Helmi

Best value for money. Hotelli Helmi offered us great accommodation at great rates. We wanted a budget-friendly stay at the heart of the city. At the same time, we didn’t want to compensate for the cleanliness or the quality of services. Hotelli Helmi was the best choice based on our requirements. The hotel is located at a perfect spot to reach public transportation easily. We also walked to the Market Square and the Art Museum; these are very popular tourist spots here in Turku.

The check-in process didn’t take long, and this was so much appreciated as we needed our room quickly. The staff were concerned about us and did their best to deliver the room spotless in a few minutes. They do offer single, double, and triple rooms. Although the room was directly viewing the busy streets, we couldn’t hear anything as the walls were soundproof. Inside our room, we had a mini fridge, a coffee machine, and a microwave. These amenities did make a difference, as we love to fill our stomachs with midnight snacks and hot drinks.

Original Sokos Hotel Kupittaa

Original Sokos Hotel Kupittaa was very noticeable when we were wandering around in the city center area. The building itself is attractive. We weren’t planning to stay here, but we decided to give it a try as we were captivated by the building’s design and colors. Even though we didn’t have a booked room, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They found us a room immediately, and it was super clean. The room is wide enough to feel comfortable.

We had a wonderful breakfast on the next day. There were different food selections from Japanese and International dishes. The view from the rooftop restaurant was beyond amazing. We also spent a couple of hours in the gym enjoying a panoramic view while soring our muscles. When we had any plans, we didn’t have to bother about transportation as the train station was next to the hotel. However, we didn’t hear any noise despite staying in a ground-floor room.

Best location. We finally found the best accommodation in Turku, Finland, with the best location, it’s Centro Hotel Turku. We know that most Turku hotels have good locations, but this one is the best. When we were out of the hotel building, whether we walked right or left, we reached a bus or train station. It’s less than two minutes. We were also the closest to Aninkaistenkatu main road. In addition, we walked to the Aura riverside to enjoy walking along the shore and explore the restaurants there.

Apart from the location, we liked the hotel for other reasons. We had a very intense fitness class in the nearby fitness center that was complimentary to our stay. We could also access the hotel gym, but the fitness classes were a different option we hadn’t tried here in Finland before, so we were up to it. The hotel isn’t very large but very cozy. It felt like an escape from the busy day at the nearby Market Square, restaurants, and pubs.

Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel

Best food. The first thing we enjoyed at Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel was the food. This was the first thing to try as we arrived early before check-in. The staff were so friendly that they offered us complimentary breakfast on this day although our booking had no meals on the first day. When we tasted the delicious food there, we decided we would take our lunch at the hotel too. The Grill It restaurant has a very mouthwatering food selection. The steak is the best thing we tasted there.

Despite being located very close to transportation, the hotel has wide parking for guests who have cars. We didn’t use the parking, but we knew that it cost extra money each day. Did we mention that the hotel overlooks the river? It has a very breathtaking view that we didn’t even want to leave our room. We were so satisfied with everything there that when we traveled to Helsinki in Finland, we decided to stay at Radisson Blu. Hotel Kakola

Hotel Kakola is the last recommendation we have, and it’s the best based on our opinion. This hotel is widely known among Turkr visitors for its perfect location and great services. It’s also a good value for money as the rates are very reasonable compared to similar hotels in the same area. The hotel has a very special design that distinguishes it from other hotels here. We liked the black-red blend that characterizes this hotel and grant it a special privilege.

We mentioned that it has a good location; it’s very close to the Turku Castle and the Paavo Nurmi Stadium. Further, we had several choices when it came to the rooms. There are standard rooms, family rooms, suites, and executive suites. We liked the idea of executive suites as we were a group of friends, and the suite had several rooms. It was wide enough to accommodate more than four people. The beds were so plush and comfortable. This hotel has a very comfy vibe that we all felt during our stay there.

Where to Stay in Turku, Finland

Needless to say, hotels in Turku city center are the best to stay in while visiting Turku. Most of the hotels are located in this area as it’s the most vibrant. Along the Aura River, we could find several options at different rates. Transportation is also easy in this area as many bus stops are on the main streets. Usually, our hotel is either directly close to the bus stop or a few blocks away.

A few miles away, Kuppitta is another area we loved to stay in on one of our trips. This area is known for its green views and quietness. However, we found lots of eateries around, too. We didn’t need to go to the city center to enjoy food and stuff. The area has a large park and a sports complex you can visit there.

If you want extreme quietness and serenity, then we advise you to stay in Ruissalo. It’s an island we could reach easily using public transportation. Though there aren’t many hotels there, Russialo Spa & Hotel was a great option for us. It’s a bit far, but we enjoyed our accommodation there so much. It’s a totally different experience than staying in the city center.
