Introducing you to Queen Anne, a charming boutique hotel nestled in the prestigious Pacific Heights neighborhood. This historic Victorian mansion, now beautifully restored, offers a truly elegant and unforgettable experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary continental breakfast served in the salon. Yep, you read that right! The variety of fresh pastries, fruits, and beverages was delicious and satisfying. We also enjoyed the afternoon tea and sherry served in the opulent sitting room, a treat that allowed us to unwind like never before.

Because we wanted to spoil ourselves, we decided to choose the Royal Suite. It was like we were back in the old times. The antique touches, such as the ornate furniture and elegant decor, gave it a sense of history and sophistication. We loved the cozy fireplace and the comfortable pull-out sofa as well. It truly made us feel like royalty.

We have a feeling you’ll also love the La Luna Inn. This motel’s location is more than ideal for exploring San Francisco. Just a short walk away, the Presidio of San Francisco provided us with a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. We also appreciated being within easy walking distance of Marina Green Park and the iconic Lombard Street. Beyond its location, we were particularly impressed with the complimentary amenities. The continental breakfast gave us a satisfying start to our days, and the free parking was a valuable perk.

Since we wanted more space, we chose the Large King Room. It was significantly bigger than the regular one, and we had everything we wanted and more. Now, let’s talk about Kimpton Hotel Enso. Nestled in the vibrant Japantown neighborhood, this hip hotel is just a short walk from the bustling Fillmore Street, offering easy access to a variety of shops and restaurants. Beyond its location, the rooms at this hotel are designed to provide a relaxing and serene atmosphere. We liked the laid-back, Japanese-style decor. But our favorite thing was the yoga mats. Thanks to them, we were able to have our morning yoga session in our room.

One of the things we loved most about the hotel was the range of amenities offered. Who could resist the free afternoon wine social? It was the perfect opportunity for us to meet new people. We also loved the loaner bikes, which gave us a fun and eco-friendly way to explore the city. Located right next door to the hotel is a lively Japanese restaurant/bar, offering guests the opportunity to experience authentic Japanese cuisine and enjoy a nightcap without having to go far.

My Rosegarden Guest Rooms

If B&B is your thing, we’re sure you’ll like the My Rosegarden Guest Rooms. This charming B&B, nestled in a historic 1911 house, is located in a peaceful neighborhood close to Lobos Creek. We loved the location. Exploring the city was a piece of cake, and we had easy access to the Golden Gate Bridge and Highway 101 as well.

The guest rooms here are beautifully decorated, each with its unique style. We loved our funky room with its eclectic decor and the canopy bed. Also, some rooms have en suite bathrooms, others shared, but we didn’t find this to be a problem. The room with the deck and barbecue is a particular treat, offering stunning treetop views. After a good night’s sleep, we would enjoy a delicious hot breakfast served in the cozy dining room. Our favorite part of the B&B, though, was its courtyard filled with rose bushes.

Marina Motel

Best Budget. Having a low budget doesn’t mean you can’t stay in good accommodation. Enter the Marina Motel. This family-run motel, established in the 1930s, offers a charming and authentic San Francisco vibe. Its location is perfect, just a short walk from the trendy shops of the Marina District and the beautiful Presidio Park. With its location, we decided to book the street-facing Queen Room. It had a kitchen, which had everything we needed. Think gas stove, fridge, coffee machine, and all the cooking supplies. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate the decor? We love the floral patterns here and there.

The free garage parking at this motel was also a huge plus, especially considering the busy streets of San Francisco. We also enjoyed the motel’s courtyard, which features Spanish-themed gardens and murals. It was a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. If you’re traveling with a furry friend, you’ll be happy to know that pets are welcome.

Staying at this B&B was a truly enchanting experience. Nestled in a historic building from 1875, this romantic getaway offers a glimpse into the past while providing modern comforts. Not to mention, it put us just a short walk from the Vogue Theatre and a quick drive from Golden Gate Park.

Each room on the property has a unique European flair, and we loved the addition of the Persian rug in our Deluxe King Room. The suites are even more luxurious, with spacious seating areas and pull-out sofas. During our stay, we would kick off each day with a hearty full breakfast. We had the option of enjoying it in-room or in the charming old-world lounge. The food was delicious and beautifully presented.

Though Hotel Kabuki might not be the closest hotel to Presidio, it’s still near, especially if you travel by car. But what made us fall in love wasn’t its location – it’s the hotel’s design. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were captivated by its chic and inviting atmosphere. Potted plants, geometric chairs, and patterned textiles created a cozy and stylish space. The open wood and metal shelving added a touch of industrial charm, while the patterned rugs warmed up the light wood floors. It was the kind of place that inspired us to rethink our interior design.

We stayed in the Loft Suite, and it was amazing. The dark gray walls were adorned with interesting Japanese art and calligraphy. We were also pleased to find that the hotel provided Serta Perfect Sleeper Concierge Suite II mattresses and TY Group Percale Collection linens, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. And when it comes to dining, we enjoyed the delicious upscale Thai dishes at Nari. We also made sure to burn some calories in the revamped gym. The 4,000-square-foot space includes a yoga studio, kickboxing classes, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the tea garden.

Best Service. If you’re looking for a fancier place, Hotel Drisco is the place to be. This charming boutique hotel is nestled in the exclusive Pacific Heights neighborhood. This location was a perfect balance between being away from the hustle and bustle of the city center while still being within easy reach of major attractions. Aside from that, the hotel’s staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. From the moment we arrived, they were eager to assist with anything we needed. We also appreciated the daily chauffeur service that allowed us to explore the city without the hassle of driving.

Our City View Room was beautifully appointed and spacious, with a comfortable king bed and a luxurious bathroom. We loved the attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the Nespresso machine and heated floors. The nightly turndown service was a thoughtful addition, and we enjoyed the dark chocolate shortbread biscuits. While the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, the complimentary breakfast buffet was more than enough to start our day off right. The selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and made-to-order omelets was impressive, and we were especially impressed by the honey sourced from the hotel’s rooftop beehives.

Have you heard of the Infinity Hotel, San Francisco? Living up to its name, the potential of this hotel is infinite. One of the things we liked the most about this hotel was its rooftop terrace. It was our go-to spot to enjoy breathtaking views of the city skyline and the iconic bridge. Go there with a glass of wine and you’ll have the best time of your life.

What can you expect from the rooms? They’re modern, comfy, and well-equipped. We stayed in the standard King Room, and it was everything we expected. We especially appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea, as well as the convenient location near numerous restaurants and shops. Speaking of which, the hotel’s proximity to the Presidio, Palace of Fine Arts, and other popular landmarks made it easy to explore the city at our own pace.

Best Overall. Rounding up our list of the best hotels near Presidio SF is The Laurel Inn. Staying here, we were within easy walking distance of the Presidio as well as other popular attractions. But the hotel’s location is just one of its many selling points. Its rooms? Perfection! We booked the King Room with a kitchenette, and it was flawless. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a private bathroom, air conditioning, and a seating area with a TV. And thanks to the kitchenette, we could prepare snacks or light meals whenever we wanted to.

The vibe was so chill, and we enjoyed spending time there in the evenings. We also appreciated the hotel’s other amenities, such as the 24-hour as well as the coffee and tea service. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
