The Caribbean is home to many islands, but one of the standouts has to be St Barts. If you’ve never been there, it’s time to plan a trip to this small but stunning island. I visited St Barts earlier this year and it was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made so far. Popular among A-listers, it has gorgeous beaches, exciting beach clubs, delectable food, and much more. However, the highlight of our trip has to be my accommodation, Villa Jasmine St Barts.
Villa Jasmine is a glamorous villa set high up in Gouverneur. To me, the location of this villa is perfect, and so are the amenities. For once, I was able to feel like royalty. I could wake up every morning to what was probably the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen and fill my mind with anything but work. Once you’re done reading this post, I swear you’ll also want to experience a stay at this villa!

The heart of the villa
Villa Jasmine comprises two parts, a main house on the main level and another house down the hill on the villa’s lower level. When I first arrived at the main house, I was startled by its beautiful deck that surrounds an infinity pool. I still had my luggage in my hand, but the first thing that came to my mind was to throw myself into the pool! And that was exactly what I did, only after I put my luggage in my room.
I think the pool is easily the highlight of the villa. From my experience, it was clean and obviously well-maintained. But what made my experience memorable was the fact that I was able to enjoy unobstructed views of the hills and sparkling waters below from the edge of the pool. Once I was done taking a dip, I’d soak up the sun on one of the loungers surrounding the pool. Also, if you want to spend time on the sand, Gouverneur Beach is only two songs away by car.

Charming open-concept design
In the main house, there’s a refreshing open-concept central pavilion. Right in the middle is a spacious lounge area, where me and my friends would hang out during the day. It was also my go-to spot whenever I wanted to enjoy the breathtaking sunset with a glass of cocktail. From there, you’ll be able to access the terrace directly. Also, this area connects to the indoor living room on the left and the kitchen area on the right. Moving from one space to another is seamless, thanks to the design.

The modern and luxurious kitchen and dining area
As the chef of the group, I was thrilled by how amazing the modern kitchen was. It was well-equipped with everything I needed. Also, I appreciated the concierge service a lot, as it helped me have the ingredients I needed ready whenever I needed them. Plus, you can have a private chef make you some special meals for special occasions if you want to. But for a more private experience, I decided not to use that service.
Also in the same space is the indoor dining area for 10. With three lighting fixtures hanging above the table, this is one of the most romantic spots to enjoy your dinner. That said, there was a night when I decided to dine al-fresco. Behind the central lounge area, you’ll find an outdoor dining table where you’ll be able to enjoy your meal with a view of the lush garden.

Airy bedrooms for a good night’s sleep
There are two spotless bedrooms sandwiching the main house, each with its bungalow. I decided to stay in the bedroom at the left end of the terrace. Don’t worry; both of the bedrooms are almost identical. They come with a king-sized bed, a sparkling bathroom, as well as a private terrace.
There are two more bedrooms down the hill. This may be subjective, but based on my experience, I think the hill is actually walkable. However, you can also drive between the two houses for a more convenient experience. And because of the distance, the lower-level bedrooms come with their own pool! I think they’re a great option for lovebirds who want more privacy.

Take care of your body at the home gym
Part of living large in Villa Jasmine St Barth is by staying fit. After all, you won’t be able to enjoy anything when you’re unwell. This is the main reason why I would spend at least half an hour for a quick workout at the villa’s gym every day. It’s located on the lower level, along with the two more private bedrooms. There’s a recumbent bike, a treadmill, as well as an adjustable gym bench along with some weights.
