Kokopelli Inn Sedona, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Kokopelli Inn Sedona will serve you well if you are looking for the best views in the heart of Red Rock Country on a tiny budget. It is our top choice for an affordable luxury vacation rental in Sedona, Arizona whenever we want to enjoy the serenity of The Village of Oak Creek. The motel is right off Highway 179, but still serene enough to unwind after a long day. Our favorite room is a Double Queen on the first floor, clean and spacious with windows facing the rocks.
We’ve never had to deal with cleanliness issues at this motel, which is a huge plus considering the moderate pricing on the rooms. We also enjoyed the complimentary water and snacks on our last visit. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower with hot water and a wide showerhead, enough for two people. Better still, the AC in the room works perfectly, which is a lifesaver when visiting in the summer. The Wi-Fi in the room is also strong enough for us to stay up to date with work.
We rarely spend much time in the room because the pool and firepits outside offer a better viewing experience. The pool is clean and never crowded, so a dip is always on our itinerary when staying here. Pago’s Pizzeria, a short walk from the motel is our go-to place for breakfast. There are other local restaurants including a Subway nearby.
“We were grateful for the free parking spot right outside our room on our last visit. It was safe with no security concerns during our stay.”

Motel In The Pines

We stayed a few nights at Motel In The Pines in Munds Park right off Interstate 17 and really loved the quaint surroundings. We weren’t looking for anything fancy, but we had a lot more than we expected from a motel at that price. The room was recently remodeled, featuring new beds with firm but cozy foams and fluffy pillows. The room also had a full-sized refrigerator and a microwave so we could heat our food and freeze our water for the day trips. We also had a sizeable TV with cable channels and stable Wi-Fi to keep up with work. The 45-minute drive to Sedona was full of panoramic views as we traveled through Red Rock country, making our entire stay more adventurous.
The highlight of this motel, however, was the grilling area where we had a whole impromptu party with other travelers. Surrounded by pine forests on all sides, this motel feels like a little haven for travelers in the middle of nowhere, but we still felt safe throughout. They have a 24-hour check-in, so it is never too late or too early to check in or ask for help in the room. Parking is free, and we had a spot right outside our room which made moving our luggage into the room a lot easier.

Flagstaff makes a great stopover spot for our trips to the Red Rock Country and Motel 6-Flagstaff is our favorite sleep-on-the-go spot. It is a simple traditional-style motel with free parking, a nice bed, and storage for luggage. The rooms had just been upgraded on our last visit, with cozier beds, better lighting, and a working desk which made our stay more comfortable. The room was fully stocked with extra towels for the pool, shampoo, soap, and an ice bucket. Our bathroom was a little crampy, but it was clean and the water pressure was great so we didn’t mind. Staff at the front desk also offered unlimited refills of coffee and hot water.
Our favorite part is the pool where we could cool off after a long day of driving and hiking. The staff gave us a free parking spot right behind our room so we weren’t worried about safety while staying here. There are multiple diners and coffee shops near the motel too so we didn’t have to drive around town for breakfast. The motel also has vending machines for snacks and an ATM.

Super 8 by Wyndham Flagstaff is our top recommendation if you need a cheap place to stay near both Sedona and the Grand Canyon. We’ve stayed here multiple times, especially when driving through with family because the motel offers family suites with bunk beds and sofa beds. Our favorite suite on the first floor is always clean and has all the basics including a coffee maker, microwave, and TV with cable channels. The wifi is also stable throughout so we have no problem keeping up with work whenever we stay here. On our last visit, the staff were friendly enough to check us in early and offered us extra blankets for the sofa bed. The bathroom in the suite is spacious, with a walk-in shower with good water pressure.
Despite being right off the I40, the motel is generally quiet with great views of the vast forests to soothe an adventurous spirit. We always include breakfast in our package because they offer many healthy food options, rotated daily. Rilibertos Mexican Restaurant which serves delicious Southwestern dishes is within walking distance from the motel.

Our apartment was clean and thoughtfully decorated, with everything set in place including extra towels for the pool and rugs for cleaning our shoes after hiking. We booked a twin room at Baby Quail Inn in West Sedona while looking for a cheap place to stay near Slide Rock State Park on a shoestring budget. It is a family-owned 12-room motel right off Willow Way in the heart of Red Rock country. Everything around was quiet and tranquil when we arrived. Despite the pocket-friendly prices, we still got a room with a view and had bottled water and an energy bar among other snacks on arrival. We were also informed that the bathtub was heated and ready for us which was a relief after a long day of hiking. The beds were small, but still comfy enough, so we had no complaints. Our room was also clean and stocked with towels, bathrobes and shampoo. We also had a TV with cable channels and a stable wifi connection in the room.
Parking was free, right outside the room, so we didn’t have to carry our luggage for too long. While looking for a place to crash at the last minute, we found a vacant Owl’s Nest at the Matterhorn Inn and were very pleased with our stay. The room was freshly renovated with clean rugs, chairs, and beds as well as comfy linens. We didn’t expect much for the price we paid, but we got a spacious private balcony and great service worth of a four-star hotel in a roadside motel, including a large private patio. The wifi was great, coffee refills unlimited, and housekeeping prompt when requested which is more than you hope for when booking a cheap motel in Sedona. The bathroom also had extra towels that we could use to cool off at the pool. The highlight of our stay here, however, was the clear mountain views as well as the serenity of the surroundings.
The motel offers free parking right outside the room, which saved us a lot because most restaurants and art galleries were within walking distance so we didn’t have to drive around. The front staff was even nice enough to help us move our luggage over the staircase since there was no elevator. Although the place is within walking distance of downtown Sedona, it is still far enough from the noise so everything was quiet during our stay.

If you are looking for the best pet-friendly hotel in Sedona on a limited budget, then Sedona Real Inn & Suites will suffice. It is a classy roadside establishment on Arroyo Pinon Drive in West Sedona, right next to the trails. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, which is why we booked a double queen room here in the summer. Our room had all the basics including a working AC, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a hairdryer. The beds were spacious and comfy with enough room to walk around both beds. We also had a TV with cable channels, although we preferred to spend more time in the viewing area and cool off in the pool which wasn’t crowded throughout our stay.
Our room came with a free breakfast, which was a little limited, but still worth it. We also had a coffee machine in the room and a vending machine for snacks. There were lots of complimentary events to keep us busy in the evening including a Quantum Healing class, a community BBQ, and a get-together by the firepits. The neighborhood around the inn also has trails through a forested area which are good for an evening stroll with clear views of the Red Rocks.

Orchards Inn is one of the best affordable hotels for families in Sedona whenever we are traveling as a family because of the cozy rooms and spacious patios. It is also located in the heart of Uptown Sedona, within walking distance of our favorite restaurants, art galleries, and coffee shops at Tlaquepaque Arts And Crafts Village. The best thing about this inn is the great views of the Red Rocks formations in a quaint environment away from the crowds.
Our favorite Deluxe Queen room on the first floor has a private patio from where we can see the rocks. The two queen beds are spacious enough for a family of four, plus the bathroom is clean and spacious. The toilet is a bit low, as are the marble sinks, but we don’t mind because the kids love it that way. The decks are also wide and well-secured, so children can play around. The place also has a sitting area with fire pits for stargazing in the evening.
The front desk staff are always attentive and friendly and even gave us an early check-in on our last visit so the kids could take a nap in the room. Our free parking spot was also right outside the room, a safe and cheap option considering the motel’s prime location. Taos Cantina, our favorite Southwestern restaurant is right next door, which is another reason to love this place.

We booked a room here while visiting the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park which is just a short drive away from the motel. The best thing about this motel, however, is the clear view of the red rocks from the terrace.
We had a clean room with widely spaced queen beds and super-comfy linens.
