Orlando, also known as Earth’s theme park capital, is arguably the best vacation destination for families with kids. That said, I’m lucky enough to say that I’ve been there with my loved ones. It was truly an experience like no other, especially because we got to stay at Reunion Resort in Orlando, FL.
Set in Kissimmee and around a 15-minute drive from the Walt Disney World, Reunion Resort is home to three golf courses, a massive water park, seven sparkling swimming pools, a variety of restaurants, and over 200 villas and vacation rentals. The accommodations here range in size and facilities. Since I came with my family and some of my friends, I decided to stay at The Atlantis at Reunion Resort, one of the biggest options with 12 bedrooms. It’s safe to say that I made the right decision, as my trip was nothing short of memorable.

Luxurious open-plan living area welcomes you upon your arrival
Saying that the flight to Orlando wasn’t exhausting is a lie, especially since I was traveling with the kids. However, once I stepped inside The Atlantis, I knew that it was all worth it. I was amazed by the spacious open-plan living area. The kids instinctively dropped their bags and ran around exploring the whole house. With small chandeliers hanging from the ceilings and plush sofas here and there, this Reunion Resort mansion was certainly better than what I first imagined.

Cozy bedrooms with special themes
Made to accommodate up to 28 people, this Reunion Resort villa, Orlando, is huge. And to be honest, I did have a hard time deciding which of the 12 bedrooms I wanted. In the end, I chose one of the biggest bedrooms on the second floor with a double vanity and a bathtub. However, the show stealers must be the themed bedrooms, including Mickey Mouse, Mermaid, and Atlantic-themed decorations. My kids stayed in the Mickey Mouse room, and they certainly had a blast.

A large swimming pool to beat the heat
Once I was done unpacking my stuff, the first thing that my family and I did was take a dip in the huge outdoor swimming pool. It was truly refreshing, and there was also a hot tub right beside the pool. If you don’t feel like swimming, you can relax on the lounger or daybed surrounding the pool. Whenever the weather allowed, I would lie on the lounger, wear my sunglasses, and enjoy the uninterrupted views of the golf course.
However, if you feel the pool isn’t big enough, you’re free to explore the resort’s other community pools. But you should note that it may be crowded, especially during the holidays. The resort also boasts a tennis complex, a spa center, and an exciting five-acre water park!

The exciting playroom will keep kids busy
My family and I booked The Atlantis for a week, and throughout our stay, we never really heard any complaints from our kids. That was because they were always kept busy and happy in the playroom. There, you’ll find not only Xbox One and a 70″ flat-screen TV but also a classic arcade game, an air hockey table, a basketball hoop, as well as a yellow tube slide, which was our kids’ favorite.
“I was actually surprised when I found there was a games room in addition to the playroom. They gave me the perfect opportunity to bond with my kids. It was truly a memorable experience and I won’t trade it for anything.”
WOW Travel
That’s not all, though. In addition to the playroom, there’s also a games room. Yep, this house boasts a fun games room with everything you can imagine. Pool table? Check. Xbox One? Check. In addition to that, there’s a karaoke machine, a wet bar, and a fridge, too. It was the perfect place for me and my kids to bond and have fun together during our trip.

A home theater for family nights
One of the main reasons why I chose this Reunion Resort vacation rental is because it boasts a modern home theater. While it’s not the biggest, it certainly is big enough for most people. During our one-week stay, we spent two nights watching “The Sea Beast” and the latest sequel of “Puss in Boots.” My kids were laser-focused on the movies, and they’d sit on the cinema-style seating while I was enjoying my popcorn and drink at the bar area right behind them.
