The Cromwell Hotel & Casino

Best party pool. We begin the list with the unbelievably amazing pool at the boutique Cromwell Hotel & Casino, which sits 11 stories high up in the sky. With more than 8 pools, 150+ VIP tables, and lots of digital LED screens, the Cromwell’s rooftop pool, aptly called Drai’s Beachclub, is as extravagant as the city itself. The adults-only poolscape offered us a remarkable experience we’ll never forget. We loved the unconventional shape of the seasonal pool, which is lined with palm trees, daybeds, and even mezzanine cabanas and bungalows for a special, special experience. They even have a dress code, with resort pool attire or fashionable beach club being required – but, I mean, who wouldn’t dress up here?
However, Drai’s is more than just a pool; it’s a party! During the season, the place boasts a proper club vibe with live performances. We reserved a poolside cabana which was the epitome of glam jam – think HDTVs and F&B service. The poolside bungalows go a step further; they even offer showers, restrooms, and exclusive access to private pool areas. Plus, those with a Caesars Entertainment membership get complimentary access to the poolside on Fridays-Sundays between 11 am and 12 pm.

Best family-friendly pool. Flamboyant, flashy, fancy – these are the only words that came to our minds when we feasted our eyes on the Strip’s largest swimming pool complex at Resorts World Las Vegas. The resort is Hilton’s largest in the world and is home to three hotels; Las Vegas Hilton, Conrad Las Vegas, and Crockfords Las Vegas.
When it comes to the poolscape, Resorts World is matchless. It’s home to the Ayu Dayclub, a stunning oasis that draws inspiration from Southeast Asia’s idyllic islands. In the summer, it’s the ultimate place to pool party in Vegas. But that’s not all. The sprawling poolscape boasts five individual pools, each with its own persona and identity. For instance, the Main Pool boasted a restaurant and wet deck chairs, while the Bimini Pool was all about water fun with a massive bar, a lawn for games, and tons of water activities. Our favorite was the adults-only infinity pool Athena, which is the only one on the Strip. In fact, dedicated servers would bring us cocktails and snacks right to our daybed. So, it was the perfect place to unwind after a crazy Vegas night out.
Are you looking for a more private or VIP atmosphere? Head to the VIP or Cabana Pools for super-luxe experiences, where you can rent private bungalows, daybeds, and pool chairs. For families traveling with little ‘uns, the Family Pool with interactive water features was a big hit.
“Where else can we find a family-friendly rooftop pool in Vegas? Resorts World was amazing, and the kids loved it!”

Imagine having the choice of not one but two seasonal rooftop pools on different levels of the hotel! We’re talking about the Boulevard and Chelsea Pools on the 4th and 14th levels of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Both pools were open every day and boasted poolside bars, umbrellas, sun loungers, and cabanas. Moreover, poolside cabanas at both pools had dedicated servers, stocked fridges, and complimentary fruit plates. During the day, the pool space was perfect for a swim, playing foosball and ping-pong, and enjoying cocktails and delicious food right at the daybeds.
What we loved about both pools was that while most Vegas pools shut at 5 pm, the Cosmopolitan’s pools came to life at twilight. From 6:30-8:30 pm, it would be sunset cocktail hour at the Boulevard Pool, complete with signature cocktails and a live DJ spinning cool tunes. Plus, there are also Dive-In movies played on the big screen behind the multi-level poolscape, which also boasts unobstructed views of the Strip below. Do you want to check out the Marquee Dayclub on Level 2 of the Boulevard Tower? Check out the details. The best bit? The Boulevard Pool is for hotel guests only!

Staying at the Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas put us smack dab in the middle of all the Strip action, but we were also able to relax and unwind at the blissful poolscape. The third-floor water escape is open all days between 10 am and 6 pm and is one of the quietest huge pool areas we’ve seen in all of Vegas. The refreshing and interactive oasis has a huge pool with both steps and zero entry and is surrounded by private retreats in the form of daybeds and cabanas. Moreover, we could even order appetizers and handcrafted cocktails off of the casual menu right at our daybed/cabanas.
Booking a cabana also gave us access to select non-alcoholic beverages and complimentary fruit plates, while daybeds also got us personalized service as the seat is exclusively yours for the whole day! While spots by the pool are free for all hotel guests, the poolside is also open to outsiders for the day. That’s why it’s one of the best hotel pools in Las Vegas. Here’s an entire schedule for the Vdara poolscape.

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Most luxurious poolscape. Formerly the Mandarin Oriental, the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, sitting right on the Strip, hasn’t changed much from its former persona – including the eighth-floor luxury poolscape. It’s one of the most sophisticated, mellow, and civilized pool scenes in Sin City. For one, it offered fabulous views over CityCenter and the glittery Strip. In fact, we’d hole up for an entire afternoon and simply relax without crowds of bachelor and bachelorette parties or thumping music in the background. And whenever we felt like a snack, we could simply walk over to the Pool Cafe or – even better – order food and cocktails to our cabana or daybed. Think cocktails, veggies, hummus, tacos, and the like, all delivered poolside. Like we said, it was glamour at its absolute low-key best.
Besides the pool, there are also two Jacuzzis and even an intimate plunge pool. Since we’d rented a cabana one day, we even had a complimentary mini-bar stocked with non-alcoholic drinks. And, of course, who can resist the champagne buckets filled with ice? Oof!

Hilton Vacation Club Polo Towers Las Vegas

When we were looking for a value-for-money aparthotel on the Strip, the Hilton Vacation Club Polo Towers happened to be one of the best hotels with rooftop pools, Las Vegas. The rooftop pool here was perfect to recharge our batteries after a long day of exploring the city. What’s more, the perfectly rectangular pool had a step entry and was surrounded by cushy blue daybeds. So, after a languorous swim in the pool, we’d lie back on the loungers and soak in spectacular views of the Strip. Even the kids had their own dedicated space in the form of a kids’ pool to splash around and have a blast. The best bit? There was even a jacuzzi right next to the pool, where we could soak our sore muscles in the bubbling waters and unwind.
If you can’t get enough of the views from the pool area, then you don’t need to worry at all. That’s because the rooms and suites at the Polo Towers offer just as nice views over the mountains and the city straight from the private balcony.

Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

Imagine enjoying a swim right beneath the Eiffel Tower! Okay, well, not the Eiffel Tower, exactly, but Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino‘s beautiful replica of the same. Welcome to the two-acre rooftop Pool à Paris, which sits right in the heart of the Strip. The space exuded a Parisian garden-chic ambiance that made for a rather welcoming retreat amidst Vegas’ over-the-topness. Since it was open only to hotel guests, we could choose whether we wanted to book daybeds or cabanas for half a day or the full day.
In fact, we could not even book and try getting the first-come-first-served lounge chairs to bask in the sun’s rays after enjoying a languorous swim. Plus, they’d even serve us food and cocktails right to our abode for the day. In fact, they even offer group reservations for larger parties who want to reserve more than five daybeds or cabanas. The pool area is open every day between 9 am and 5 pm.

Sahara Las Vegas

There’s a lot going on at the Sahara Las Vegas, and that includes a fabulous selection of poolside leisure. The resort, which is one of the few on this list to not sit on the Strip, provides not one but two stylish and laidback pool areas, the Alexandria and the Retro Pools. While the Retro Pool is a seasonal one and hosts the famed Elevate Pride Pool Party, it’s the Alexandria Pool that’s the real ticket. It’s accessible everyday from 10 am to 5 pm and is sprinkled with daybeds and chaise lounges, and even gave us the option to reserve private cabanas. Plus, it afforded amazing Vegas views and was open just for us hotel guests, despite not offering any F&B service.
That title goes to the slightly less elevated but equally vibrant Azilo Ultra Pool, which loosely means “sanctuary.” It’s easy to see why; this premier spot is ensconced in lush greenery and boasts Moroccan décor ideal for escaping the desert heat. Besides the daybeds and cabanas, there was even a massive 240-ft LED screen and pumping music, making it the perfect buzzing option for when we wanted to party in the water.

Best adults-only pool. Imagine the thrill of swimming in a multi-level rooftop pool complex high above the ground in Sin City. Behold Stadium Swim, the ultra-fabulous and swanky pool complex at the Circa Resort & Casino. The poolscape boasts no less than six outdoor pools spread across three levels, accompanied by a majestic 40-foot tall HD screen. Thus, it was the perfect setup for the ultimate poolside entertainment.
Since the space could accommodate as many as 4,000 revelers, we had a ball partying, swimming, and watching games on the big screen with a fabulously good-looking crowd. What’s more, we could reserve a chaise lounge, a daybed, or a cabana for additional comfort. Did we mention that our booking deal included a complimentary reservation at the pool? That’s right! Did we mention that the hotel, and the poolscape by extension, is adults-only? Hell, yes!
We haven’t even come to the best bit yet? Unlike most other Vegas pools, this one has some of Sin City’s latest hours of operation in Sin City, staying open from 8 am to 11 pm! Oh, and it’s open all days of the year.

The pools, or rather the pool complexes at Caesars Palace, are rightfully and aptly named “Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis,” and it’s easy to see why. The complex has not one or two but as many as seven unique pool experiences to choose from — Jupiter, Apollo, Neptune, Fortuna, Temple Pool, Venus Pool & Lounge, and the invite-only Bacchus Pool. What’s more, all these lavish sunbathing spots are surrounded by decadent cabanas, plush sunbeds, and chaise loungers, allowing us to tailor our ultimate Vegas pool experience.
Furthermore, Roman statues, classical landscaping, and a flowing 18-ft waterfall make the pool oasis fittingly palatial. While the adults-only Venus pool was perfect for when we wanted privacy to canoodle, the Fortuna Pool had swim-up blackjack tables—one of the very few on the Strip! While hotel guests have complimentary access to all pools, other guests need to make reservations to access the pool complex. The Garden of the Gods pool complex is seasonal, with 2024’s season beginning in the first week of March. The pools are open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It’s no wonder that this is one of the best hotels with private pools in Las Vegas.

NoMad Las Vegas

Sitting at the top of the list is the boutique NoMad Las Vegas, which is part of the larger Park MGM resort. It’s home to a swanky private sixth-floor rooftop pool space that was inspired by Marrakech’s “Jardin Majorelle.” We loved the intimate and serene vibe that made it the perfect spot to ditch both noise and crowds. Finding a gorgeous and intimate rooftop pool space that’s free of wild Vegas party people is a real luxury in Las Vegas! It’s no wonder that the NoMad is considered one of the most romantic hotels in Las Vegas 2024.
After a lovely swim, we would sprawl out on the plushly padded rattan loungers that were designed for us to chill out for a rejuvenating pool visit. That, along with the Moroccan decor and side tables, made us forget where we were for a while. In fact, we could even order crafted cocktails and gourmet bites from the poolside bar, making this a true oasis above the buzz of Sin City. For a special experience, we could even reserve cabanas and gazebos, especially when you want to stay out of the sun.
Currently, the pool is closed between Mondays and Thursdays and is open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Fridays and Sundays.

Where to Stay in Las Vegas
Are you a first-time visitor to Las Vegas or looking to party the night away? There’s no better place to stay than the Strip, Vegas’ most (in)famous neighborhood sitting right in the center of the city. It’s home to some of the most famous restaurants, clubs, bars, hotels, and casinos in the world. Think celeb sightings, exotic cocktails and drinks, international DJs – the works! Next, there was the South Strip, which was a stone’s throw from the actual Strip but allowed us to take a break from all the action.
Thirdly, there’s DTLV, or Downtown Las Vegas, which sits north of the Strip. It’s Sin City’s historic and central business district. So, while it’s close to the action on the Strip, it’s also home to some unique attractions, including some of the things to do in Las Vegas.
Finally, there’s the Arts District, tucked away north of the Strip and one of the city’s most colorful and coolest neighborhoods. It spans 18 blocks and is the heart of the city’s culture and arts scene. Here, we found a fantastic selection of local boutiques, indie shops, studios, and galleries.
Recommended Restaurants / Bars in Las Vegas
- Starboard Tack: Immensely loved by locals, the freshly defibrillated, 50-year-old Starboard Tack embraced all things retro. We felt like we’d walked into 1970s Sin City! It’s a fruit-heavy menu; think signature Starboard Taquiri with Pernod and the vodka cocktail Hong Kong Yacht Club, which has lemongrass and mandarin.
- Estiatorio Milos: You’ll see all local powerbrokers lunching at this place, which offers the best deal on the Strip: a three-course prix-fixe that includes Greek yogurt, chicken skewers, wild salmon, grilled octopus, tomato salad, and a mezze plate, among other things. In the evenings, a dressed-up crowd comes here for the delicious fresh seafood that Milos is known for.
Recommended Activities in Las Vegas
- Las Vegas Strip 3-Stop Pool Party Crawl: If we’re talking about pools in Vegas, then we have to talk about pool parties, right? We boarded a black-lit party bus that ferried us party-goers to not one, not two, but three (!) top Vegas pool parties. There was even a stripper pole, great music, and limited mixers. Plus, we even had free express entry to enter pool clubs!
- Guided Las Vegas Desert ATV Tour: What could we do in Vegas during the day? A lot, it seems, including riding a fabulous 450cc ATV through the Mojave Desert! The breathtaking desert landscape was the perfect setting for this guided tour, which has been voted Nevada’s best ATV Tour. As we sped along the thrilling dusty trails, we were astonished and couldn’t help but marvel at the stunning desert views.
