Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore

Towering over the Singapore River is the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore. This five-star, elegant luxury accommodation is a landmark along the Robertson Quay, right in the very heart of the city. Even then, this splendidly modern hotel has a certain level of tranquillity to it, which starts right from the hotel façade. Imagine a peaceful garden, with mellow trees and a tranquil fountain, tons of seating space, and an expansive, gorgeously landscaped space; it’s the star of the show.

We were spoilt for choice when it comes to dining options, considering the hotel has everything from Asian to Western options. Are you staying over on a Sunday? Don’t miss the ‘Epicure Brunch’ that features 15 live stations extending over 3 of the hotel’s restaurants. Of course, there’s amazing riverside dining at Riverside Terrace. Other amenities include a salon, a gorgeous pool and a hot tub, a fitness center, a fitness suite, tennis courts, and more.
We loved the soothing and serene cream hues running through the property, including the peaceful, plush, and very spacious rooms. – and notably spacious. What’s more, they all feature flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and minibars, with upgraded rooms also featuring river views and marble bathrooms. Sitting in the heart of Downtown LA’s Financial District, the historic Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles has hosted the movers and shakers of the Golden Age. In fact, the 1923-built grande dame is Downtown’s oldest hotel! Not just that, but it’s one of the first venues to host the Oscars! In fact, the hotel’s standout feature is the soaring original painted ceilings, inked by the same artist as the Vatican and the White House. Moreover, the marble fountains and the murals only added to its vintage Hollywood charm.
“Staying at the Biltmore was a fantastic experience; it was the pinnacle of luxury in LA!”
WOW Travel
Our favorite area on the property was, obviously, the massive indoor saltwater swimming pool, which is surrounded by wooden loungers and candy-striped columns. In fact, this retro, glamorous spot is another Hollywood hotspot and filming location. Furthermore, the huge gym and the Soothe Spa are ideal places to work out and relax, especially since there’s a dry sauna too. A coffee shop with grab-and-go options, two restaurants serving amazing food and drinks, and an afternoon tea service round up the dining options here.
With nearly 700 rooms and suites to choose from, the Biltmore’s rooms and suites varied across levels of luxury and sizes. However, they all have fantastic views, white-tiled bathrooms with white tea-scented bath products, mahogany furnishings, and mod-cons.

Grand Millennium Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Whoever said you couldn’t find luxury in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s premier shopping belt, Bukit Bintang? We’re talking about the 1989-opened Grand Millennium Hotel Kuala Lumpur, which is an iconic landmark in Bukit Bintang. The location couldn’t be better. Not only did it become a Millennium hotel in 2007, but it’s still important because of its immense size, with nearly 500 rooms.
We were impressed right off the bat, as we found ourselves staring at the massive, jaw-dropping crystal chandelier in the black marble-clad grand lobby. Besides this spectacle of ostentatiousness, there’s a whole lot going on at this hotel. The Level 3 fitness center and the lovely, retro-looking outdoor swimming pool were our favorite places to hang out. In fact, the pool area with its embedded greenery, striped loungers, parasols, and an attendant table. Three restaurants and bars, including a casual dining bistro, a cafe, and a Chinese restaurant, round up the amenities here.
Even entry-level rooms were generously sized at 430 sq. ft., and came with minibars, sleek, updated bathrooms with bathtubs, and even complimentary waters and coffee, and tea-making facilities. A collapsible luggage rack, an ironing board, and an iron inside the wardrobe wrap up the offerings in the digs.

Grand Millennium Dubai, UAE

First built in 2007, the Grand Millennium Dubai has been constantly buzzing with life since then, and for good reasons. Firstly, it occupies a prime location on Sheikh Zayed Road near Dubai Internet City. So, its stellar location makes it as great a choice for leisure travelers as it is for business ones. Second, it has a solid bunch of luxurious amenities and facilities. And if all that wasn’t enough, there’s a top team at the helm. What could be better? Today, it’s one of Dubai’s most beloved hotels for nightlife, dining, and entertainment.
All seven of its F&B offerings include some of the most long-standing popular venues in the city, such as The Belgian Café, Lock, Stock, & Barrell, and more. There’s even a stately Pan-Asian restaurant with a show kitchen that you shouldn’t miss. Since it’s Dubai, there’s also a non-alcoholic bar right by the gorgeous heated rooftop pool, which is where we’d spend most of our time. A fitness center, a spa, and a cinema round up the amenities here.
All elegant rooms and suites came with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and minibars, with upgraded rooms and suites even adding Gulf and city views. Are you staying longer? Studios even have kitchens and washer/dryers, while Club rooms offer access to a lounge with complimentary drinks and breakfast.

If you’re planning to stay in abject luxury on the cusp of central London, then look no further than The Chelsea Harbour Hotel & Spa London. This five-star, bold, suites-only luxury hotel boasts breathtaking panoramic views over the River Thames and the Chelsea Harbour Marina. We loved the warm and friendly welcome from the staff, which was a fantastic introduction to our stay.
Besides the amazing hospitality of the staff, the amenities here were top-notch. The main draw of the hotel is the spa. They not only have spa days — imagine afternoon tea spa breaks — but they also have a bevy of spa treatments. What’s more, there was also a blissful 17-meter pool, a steam room, a sauna, and even a fitness room. However, our favorite space was the terrace with rows of tables under parasols and heaters. With spectacular views of the marina and the Thames beyond, it’s easily one of the most luxurious lounging spots in London. Two restaurants round up the amenities here.

Deep in the heart of Beijing’s Central Business District sits one of its most luxurious hotels, the Grand Millennium Beijing. Tucked in a soaring glass tower, this well-appointed business hotel might not be as visually or culturally exciting, but its location and its amenities make it one of the top luxurious places to stay in not just the city, but all of Asia.
We loved the 500+ smart, unassuming guest rooms and suites here, where the opulence is complemented by practical ease. All digs featured an interesting ‘extended bathroom’ concept, which opens up the space all the more. It’s enhanced by floor-to-ceiling windows with spectacular views of the city. Of course, all of them also have a slew of motcons, including flat-screen TVs, luxurious bathrooms with bathtubs, coffee makers, and the like.
Imagine having five-star facilities right in the heart of Beijing’s CBD; that’s what the Grand Millennium is all about. Aside from a fantastic fitness center, the standout here is the top-notch indoor pool, which was open from 6:00 am to as late as 10:00 pm. The culinary amenities here are fantastic, especially the open kitchen at Yao Chi, complete with a culinary show. That, along with the lobby lounge and the international restaurant, ensured that we could savor everything from drinks and cocktails to international cuisines.
