Amalfi Coast, At a Glance
This may sound biased because we’re a huge fan of Amalfi Coast. However, it really is worth visiting. One of Italy’s most popular gems, Amalfi Coast, is where you’ll find a dramatic coastline, charming seaside villages, and some of the world’s tastiest seafood. You should spend at least a week truly exploring the coast and every nook and cranny. Couples love spending some romantic time here as there are plenty of romantic spots to visit. Additionally, it’s also a popular destination for families who want to feel the warmth of the Amalfi sun and explore the unique culture. It’s also a nice destination if you want to have a long weekend trip before exploring the top things to do in Naples, as it’s less than two hours away by car. Here’s a travel guide by Expedia!

Ambita
11
Say hello to Villa Ambita, the first option on this list. Unlike other luxury villas on the Amalfi Coast, this holiday home is significantly cheaper. This beautiful four-bedroom place is set on the hillsides that surround Positano, one of the most beautiful places on the Amalfi Coast you must visit. The views of the waters are nothing short of breathtaking. We often lost track of time when we were relaxing on the terrace and hypnotized by nature.
In addition to that, this place was also recently renovated to the highest quality, making it a nice pick for a peaceful Amalfi Coast escape. The central hub of this property is none other than its imposing living area, complete with a dining area, lounge area, and elegant white pillars. We were honestly surprised by how well-maintained the villa is. Every part is spotless and comfy.
If you go upstairs, you’ll find three of the four bedrooms. Each of them comes with access to a panoramic terrace, and all of them feature all the must-have in-room amenities. Meanwhile, the fourth bedroom is set on the ground floor, with its own en suite bathroom. It’s our favorite as we didn’t have to share our bathroom with the rest. To feel the warmth of the sun, we would head to the terrace and relax. There, you’ll find an al fresco dining area that can accommodate up to eight people.

Conveniently set in Praiano, Villa Mida is a luxurious two-story villa that offers stunning sea views. This chic villa has a refined interior with calming neutrals and unexpected splashes of orange and green. Apart from that, the villa also blends modern and antique elements perfectly. We were surprised when we found that the kitchen was also decorated with colorful chairs and lovely artwork.
Designed to accommodate 10 guests, there are 5 bedrooms on-site. All of them feature a queen-sized bed and a spotless en suite bathroom. What’s more, two of them boast a private terrace. It didn’t take long for us to decide which room we wanted as all of them were air-conditioned and clean.
We also think this Amalfi Coast villa is a nice option for those who love socializing. Though it offers you privacy, the villa is far from isolated. Those who want to make new friends and meet new people will appreciate the fact that there are many other villas nearby. On top of that, we love that the villa can be accessed directly from the coastal road, so you don’t have to deal with difficult steps.

If you plan to rent a villa that offers a tranquil atmosphere and great service, Villa Nume is a great choice. Richly decorated, the elegant interior spaces feature an intimate dining room that can accommodate up to 10. We didn’t have to walk far to access the fully appointed kitchen and bathroom as they’re on the same floor.
While there are many awesome amenities on-site, our favorite is the outdoor living area, which is set on a stunning terrace that faces the sea. We also often found ourselves taking a dip in the infinity swimming pool. It was the most relaxing thing we could do at the villa, and you should try it too!
Near the BBQ, you’ll find a sizable dining area where you may gather with your loved ones to have a delectable meal that the private chef has prepared. We really appreciated the staff during our stay, as they made sure we had the ultimate pampering experience. And after a fun day, we would head back to our room and have a good night’s sleep. A tip from us: you should sleep in the bedroom on the first floor that comes with a bathtub and access to a private terrace.

A sophisticated, modern home, Gedoro is another villa worth your attention. The main living area of this property has a monochromatic floor and handsome wooden furnishings. When we first entered the villa, we admired how sleek and dramatic it looked. Meanwhile, the fully equipped kitchen is smartly laid out around a central island to make the most of the available space.
Once we stepped outside, we found a private heated swimming pool and sun loungers. Featuring unspoiled views of the sea, it’s our favorite spot to lie out in the afternoon heat. Sure; the pool isn’t the biggest. However, it sure is refreshing. After a relaxing dip, we’d spend our time on the sun lounger and enjoy our favorite drink.
Meanwhile, the five suites on the property feature gorgeous glass doors, plush white bedding, and soft ambient lighting. They’re practically havens of comfort and relaxation. To add, each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom and access to the balcony. It really doesn’t matter which room you choose!

Do you want to stay at a cliff-edge villa? If so, look no further than Gioviale. This place is nicely located on the cliffs just outside of Positano along the Amalfi Coast. We were actually shocked by the location of this villa. The ocean views offered by this accommodation are truly unparalleled, and we also love that it has access to the water and a private dock.
We think the villa’s elegant interior design perfectly complements the setting in which it’s located. Additionally, this two-story villa is nestled in the middle of huge terraced gardens, making it the perfect spot for sunbathing, afternoon cocktails, and evening al fresco dining. Talk about a romantic setting!
On the lower floor, you’ll find a bright vaulted ceiling lounge area that’s fitted with comfortable sofas, a fireplace, and big panoramic windows. In addition, there’s also a separate dining area inspired by the Pompeian style that can accommodate up to 12. Carmana

Sure, staying at one of the luxury villas on the Amalfi Coast is a fantastic experience. However, not all of them offer that homey atmosphere that some of us long for. If that’s the case, consider booking Carmana! This cozy hideaway is the perfect option for those who want a fun-filled vacation. We had much fun discovering the local cuisines and wines around the villa. Additionally, we also had the chance to take a boat and tour the Amalfi Coast. We sure weren’t holding back when it came to immersing ourselves in the local colors and scents! Also, we’d occasionally relax poolside at the villa to rejuvenate our minds and body.
In addition to that, we also fancy the villa’s low-key social spaces, which are located on the ground floor. They consist of a dining area that can accommodate up to 10 people and a lounge area with a huge L-shaped sofa and a big smart TV. Also on the same floor is a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we often cook ourselves a hearty breakfast there.
Furthermore, this property offers five bedrooms, all with cozy queen-sized beds. They are charmingly furnished, and some have private balconies that offer lovely sea views. At first, we didn’t know which room to choose. But in the end, we figured out it didn’t matter as each of them was equally cozy. Whatever you decide to do, this place on the Amalfi Coast is ready to welcome you.

Another great option for those who want to rent a place on the Amalfi Coast is Merope. This traditionally styled villa is set in cliffside Positano. This villa is ideal for a big family or group of friends looking to spend their nights on the glamorous coastline. Fun fact: this villa flaunts one of the biggest terraces in the city. We kid you not; our jaws dropped when we first discovered the terrace!
This three-story villa has all the conveniences you’d expect from a luxury villa. We love the traditional furnishings found inside, which include heritage antiques, lovely Vietri ceramic flooring, and local artwork. Aside from that, there’s an elevator that leads from the garage to each floor of the villa. If you’re too tired to take the stairs, you’ll love this facility. Not to mention, all six bedrooms are bright and cozy. We stayed in one of the bedrooms on the first floor that has access to the terrace.
But perhaps the biggest selling point of this villa is its location. Those who stay here will be able to experience Positano at its best. Throughout our stay, we didn’t need a car as we could reach the nearby pubs, restaurants, stores, and supermarkets easily. Plus, it took us only a few minutes to reach some of the area’s must-visit spots on foot, including the main beach.

Those who want to rent a villa in Itay Amalfi Coast should take a look at Roxy, a stunning yet humble villa located in the heart of the picturesque Praiano. It’s the perfect choice for travelers seeking a refreshing and relaxing experience. Considering its size, we were amazed that this two-bedroom comes with a swimming pool. We think it’s a rarity among villas of such size.
Furthermore, this villa features a stunning living area, which comes complete with a lovely dining area. While the indoor dining area is nothing short of amazing, we preferred to dine outdoors as we could also enjoy the breathtaking views of the turquoise water. We would always have our favorite cocktail ready and enjoy our time on the terrace.
As we said earlier, there are only two bedrooms on the property. Of course, we had to stay in the Master Bedroom. It’s located on the first floor and can be accessed using an elevator. We had a blast as the room allowed us to wake up to the gorgeous sea views. Also, both rooms come with their own bathrooms. However, you should note that only the master bedroom has a shower.

We were able to keep our body fit during the whole trip thanks to the private pool. The pool may not be the biggest, but it’s really clean. We also loved working out using the modern equipment in the gym. Ideal for a group of 12, the property has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you don’t mind splurging, we highly recommend staying here.
During our stay, we never had to lift a finger. That’s because there was a butler, a private chef, and a maid who were all ready to help us with whatever we needed. They’ll provide exceptional service for you and your precious ones. Moreover, this villa houses a private chapel, perfect for hosting small, romantic weddings. Also, it’s made up of a watchtower and three discreet buildings that are tucked away in the lush private garden that extends from the street all the way down to the water. When we weren’t in the mood to walk, we’d explore the sizable estate with the complimentary electric golf cart.
