If you’ve never been to Tuscany before, you surely are missing a lot. When we had our trip to this central Italy gem, every single day was nothing short of enjoyable. There are plenty of reasons to love Tuscany. The landscapes are picturesque. The art scene is world-class. But if those are not good enough reasons to visit, Tuscany’s culinary culture should seal the deal. The locals spend so much time – sometimes too much – preparing, consuming, and talking about food and wine. They take pride in the quality of their food which comes from their traditional farms. As a result, many travelers look for a villa in Tuscany to rent that offers this authentic culinary experience. That said, we had the privilege to explore and spend our nights at some of the best villas in the region. So, if you plan to follow our steps, you should read about the amazing villas below!

Villa Le Balze – Prato
11
One of our favorite villas is none other than Villa Le Balze. With six bedrooms available, this villa can sleep 11 people, perfect for a family gathering or a getaway with your friends. In addition to that, each room is designed to be your home away from home. When we stepped inside the rooms, we instantly felt their comfort, which gave us a homey vibe.
The estate’s façade maintains the traditional architecture of Tuscany. Subsequently, this extends to parts of exposed stone on the wall throughout the rooms. What’s more, the rooms on the top floor overlook the mesmerizing countryside, which was why we decided to sleep in one of those rooms.
Traveling with a baby? Cot and high chair are available upon request. Besides, you can also bring your four-legged babies at a small additional cleaning fee as this villa is pet-friendly. However, please keep in mind that only small pets are welcome.

Villa Croci is a historic villa that was first built in 1950. Set in the hills of Tuscany, this villa has a vintage and old-world charm that will never fail in charming its guests. When we were there, we were awestruck by the stunning views of Tuscany. Also, the village of Braccagni is only a short drive away. It’s where you’ll have the chance to become one with nature. If you have the time, we highly recommend going there.
Like many other villas on this list, this one also boasts a swimming pool. We never said no to a dip in the pool whenever we had the chance. Lined with blue tiles and offering gorgeous views of the garden, it’s the best spot to relax your body and mind.

Villa Casa al Sole – Florence

A beautiful villa that exudes the beauty of Florence perfectly. That’s what Villa Cassa al Sole is all about. We found this villa gorgeous inside and out, with wooden floorings and wooden furniture dominating the décor. In addition, we loved how the stone walls extended from its façade all the way to the comfortable living room and pillars across the premise.
A rental villa in Tuscany Italy is not complete without an outdoor pizza oven. Villa Casa al Sole has one! As a result, we got to enjoy a slice (actually, more than that) on the large veranda. It works as both a dining area and a seating area. In addition to that, there’s also an indoor kitchen and dining area.
Here, there are four bedrooms in total – some with a double bed and others with twin beds – each with a private en-suite bathroom. Furthermore, there’s also one extra bathroom for guests or emergency use.

Orfea Estate – Lucca

Best for Large Groups. Calling this villa an estate is not an overstatement. Orfea Estate has 14 bedrooms that can sleep 30 people, plus 13 bathrooms to accommodate everyone’s needs. Better yet, it took us only 10 minutes to reach the city of Lucca, where we were mesmerized by the Renaissance walls and cobblestone streets.
With that said, you won’t be bored even if you stay on-site. There’s a big private pool whose maintenance is already included in the nightly rate. Thanks to the pizza over, we were able to keep our tummies full and happy. Moreover, there are enough indoor and outdoor seating areas to relax and share stories over a bottle of wine.
Another reason why this rental deserves to be called an estate is its décor. Each room is tastefully decorated and furnished. To add, the dining area is predominantly white and soft yellow. It truly made our dining experience Instagram-worthy!

Best for Families. If it’s the view that you’re looking for, consider Villa Bellavista. Situated in the countryside of Arezzo, this vacation rental property offers unobstructed views of the beautiful region. It’s best enjoyed in the private pool area.
Expect a countryside vibe all around the property, from rustic furniture and decoration to the farm-life outdoor setting. That’s not all, though, as we were also pampered by the modern appliances during our stay, like the cable TV, Wi-Fi, and safe.
When we were there, we would have a nice breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the outdoor alfresco dining area right by the hill. This spot offers another excellent view of the countryside area. Then, we would play volleyball in the garden area.

Chiara is taking vacation rental to another level. Set in Chianti, the location of this villa is hard to beat. It’s never too far away from hilltop vineyards, charming villages, and wineries. We never left our cameras when we were exploring the region. Just take a look at the views below! How could we not take pictures and post them on our socials?
This villa does not just offer a great location but also top-notch facilities in one spot. First, there’s a hot tub surrounded by large archy windows overlooking the garden. Second, there’s a private infinity pool right by the hill. Third, there’s a home gym with modern equipment. Finally, last but not least, a private sauna. Everything you need for a staycation with never-ending activities.
The villa itself is an architectural gem. It’s an estate with traditional country décor. But what makes it special lies in the details. Villa San Lorenzo – Arezzo

Another affordable villa on this list is Villa San Lorenzo. This villa provides a comfortable house, secluded from its surroundings except for the great view of Cortona town from afar. At first, we were skeptical because of the villa’s simple design. However, we were relieved when we found that it was equipped with modern amenities, including air conditioners and Wi-Fi.
All four bedrooms are simple yet cozy. Some even come with garden views and a private bathroom. On the other hand, the main shared bathroom is modern, dominated by white color, while the building’s doors and villas are mostly wood.
The backyard is a pristine private pool, complete with sun loungers. It was our favorite spot to relax during our stay. Next to it, you’ll find a football pitch, perfect for Lega Calcio fans. Moreover, there’s also an outdoor clay oven that we used to make pizza.

Villa Casale Federica – Arezzo
4
Best Budget. If you’re looking for a humble villa for the whole crew, Villa Casale Federica is the answer. It can sleep 14 people, yet it’s so affordable. For our stay, we were surprised that its nightly rate was much less than most villas in such a prime location in Arezzo Province. Speaking of location, it only took us five minutes to reach Castiglion Fiorentino, a small beautiful city in Arezzo popular for its yearly festivals.
With that said, don’t expect anything fancy. All six bedrooms come in a simple, homey design. However, there’s a private pool with sun loungers. So, even though the rooms and common indoor areas aren’t that big, the outdoors offers so much cozy space.
Furthermore, there’s a BBQ area and a hammock overlooking the authentic villa’s façade and the surrounding greeneries. Besides, there’s an area to play table tennis, complete with the equipment. See, renting a villa in Tuscany Italy doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg!

Bice – Florence

Just one hour west of Florence, you’ll find Bice, a beautiful villa in Tuscany to rent for any occasion. With five bedrooms available and a spacious open-plan ground floor, it’s an excellent choice for a family vacation or a big gathering. Unlike other villas, this one was just nice for our group.
White-painted arches separate the rooms elegantly while supporting the traditional wooden ceiling. All in line with the beauty of villages in Italy worth visiting. In contrast, the bathroom is another story. The shower area is decorated with sophisticated marbled tiling. Also, the rest is painted in white, blending nicely with the hardwood floor.
During our time there, we would spend our time in the private outdoor pool nestled in the landscaped garden. It’s set between the villa’s main building, the outdoor terrace, and the poolside lounge area. To sum up, this villa is simply gorgeous!
Facilities:
- Bedroom: 5
- Bathroom: 5
- Kitchen: Yes
- Swimming Pool: Yes

- Additional living room with sofas
- Gorgeous views of the garden

Casale Rasa – Siena

Best Location. Take staycation to another level by staying at Casale Rasa. This villa is located inside a 5,000 sqm park. It’s so big that it’s also named one of the best wedding villas in Tuscany. Also, this villa is only five minutes away from the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore. Of course, we made sure to visit this place, which is one of the most prominent sites in Siena.
Another thing worth highlighting is the outdoor swimming pool. It was where we would find ourselves in the morning. Nothing beats a morning dip! Also, the pool is surrounded by sunbeds and gazebos. But if swimming isn’t your thing, feel free to sip your favorite drink under the pergola.
This villa is designed to accommodate up to 22 guests. There are 10 spacious bedrooms in total, and each is equipped with standard amenities. Our favorite, however, is the one that comes complete with a bathtub.

Lagesta – Siena

Best Overall. To sum up, Lagesta is currently the best villa Tuscany has to offer. It wraps the history and artworks of Tuscany in such modern elegance. Although the façade maintains the classic postcard old look of the Val d’Orcia region, the interiors and amenities are nothing but modern. Additionally, we also found a fully-equipped kitchen and al fresco dining area, spacious rooms with air conditioning and central heating, high-speed Wi-Fi, and cable TV.
“Compared to other villas, Lagesta gave us the most memorable experience. We had everything we needed, and every facility on the property was well-maintained.”
WOW Travel
This two-story country house has four bedrooms and four bedrooms. The four king-sized beds can easily sleep eight people. To add, lush bedding and towels are included. Our stay was even more enjoyable thanks to the complementary services, such as housekeeping, gardening, and pool maintenance.
But what made us choose Lagesta as the ultimate rental villa was its location. The house sits in an open landscaped garden surrounded by trees, overlooking the beautiful landscape. Finally, amid them sits Lagesta’s private pool with sun loungers. Sitting by the pool or on the veranda alone makes an unforgettable experience.
