Villa del Palmar

Adventures await at this resort
Hotel Villa del Palmar is located right on the shores of Danzante Bay. It’s a secluded and picturesque bay perfect for water activities like swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. Of course, we couldn’t just let that chance to have fun on the water slip off our hands. Surrounded by natural beauty, we were able to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez from our room.
If water sports don’t excite you, maybe golf will. Lucky for you, the resort is also home to TPC Danzante Bay, a world-class 18-hole golf course that was also named the best golf course in Mexico by the World Golf Awards back in 2021. The golf was superb, and though we weren’t a pro, we still had a blast.

A suite bigger than some Loreto villas
The suites and penthouses at this resort are the epitome of luxury. We stayed in the suite, and we were glad we chose that room. We had to go all out since we were already at this fantastic villa. Still, we didn’t expect the suite to be that big. It was equipped with a living area, dining area, kitchen, spotless bathroom, and an in-room bathtub.
The bed was plush, and there wasn’t a night where we couldn’t sleep. We wished we could stay there forever! However, the highlight of the suite was its private balcony. It was our favorite spot to spend our morning. It was big and complete with a seating area. We were able to enjoy the breathtaking views of the ocean while enjoying my morning tea.

Something for everyone in the family
If you’re planning to have a memorable family vacation, this is the place to be. This pet-friendly resort knows exactly how to cater to the needs of every guest, from the old to the young ones. Special amenities for the whole family to enjoy include in-suite camping, cooking classes, and massage classes for kids. During our stay, we managed to make some new friends, who were also fellow solo travelers, and we had some friendly competition on the tennis court. Spoiler: We lost!
Fret not; after burning all of those calories, you can spoil your tummy with delicious menus in one of the three on-site restaurants: Danzante, Market, and Casa Mia. Don’t get us wrong, we enjoyed all of the food in all three restaurants, but our favorite was Casa Mia. The wood oven pizzas were to die for, and the tacos made sweating on the tennis court worth it.

Rejuvenate your body and mind at the spa
Everyone has different ways to relax and spend their spare time. Some people prefer to work out even during a holiday. But if that’s not you, don’t worry! Aside from a state-of-the-art fitness center, Hotel Villa del Palmar also boasts a wonderful spa. The Sabila Spa has a generous option of treatments performed only by trained masseurs.
At first, we didn’t know what treatment to try, as all of them sounded good to me. However, after talking to the staff, we decided to try the Therapeutic Mud Moor Massage. This 80-minute treatment soothed my body aches from sitting on the plane seat for too long. Best of all, there are also spa menus for kids.
