Have you heard of the Zeppelin Hotel in San Francisco? If you’re planning to visit Frisco soon, you should consider staying a night or two at this magnificent hotel. It honestly surprised us in the best way possible, and the only regret we have is that we should’ve spent more nights at the hotel. What’s so great about the hotel? Well, it might not be the fanciest in the city, but it sure knows its value as a boutique hotel and how to stand out from the crowd. Honestly, we think there’s no other hotel that does it like Zeppelin. Its distinctive decor, impeccable rooms, and prime location easily make it one of the top accommodations in the city.

A Nob Hill property
Let’s first talk about Hotel Zeppelin‘s location. We were glad we chose to stay at this hotel, as it made our trip hassle-free. Situated in the heart of Nob Hill, we were just two blocks away from the vibrant Union Square shopping district. Feel free to spend all that money! The nearest cable car stop was also a short walk away, making it easy to explore all the city’s iconic attractions.
We loved being so close to the historic Coit Tower and the bustling Pier 39, both of which were within easy walking distance. The hotel’s central location allowed us to experience the best of San Francisco without venturing too far. You can even use the hotel’s free bikes to explore the city.

Electric accommodations
The Hotel Zeppelin is far from basic, and it’s particularly evident in its rooms. There are 196 rooms on the property, and each is a celebration of the city’s counterculture heritage, with vintage record players, crushed velvet pillows, and psychedelic bathrooms. We were truly blown away when we first browsed the rooms.
For our stay, we chose the one-bedroom king suite. As you can probably imagine, it was both spacious and comfortable. The separate living room provided plenty of space for entertaining, and the oversized workspace allowed us to be productive when we needed to. We also loved how retro the suite felt, thanks to the vintage record player and vinyl library.
“Everything about our suite was fantastic. It was flawless.”

Bring your pet!
Another thing that surprised us was the hotel’s pet-friendliness. Yep, at Hotel Zeppelin, you’re allowed to bring your dog or cat with you. As avid dog owners, we were thrilled to find a hotel that truly welcomed our furry companion as part of the family. The staff were incredibly accommodating, treating our dog with the same warmth and attention as they did us. The hotel’s policy of allowing two pets of any size for a fee of 74 USD made it easy for us to travel together without any stress.
We especially appreciated the fact that both dogs and cats were permitted in all rooms. We could leave our dog unattended without worry. The hotel’s list of dog-friendly places in the city center was also beneficial, ensuring that we could easily explore the city with our four-legged friend by our side.

Convenience is key
Our stay at Hotel Zeppelin required us to pay an amenities fee of 35 USD per night. Yes, it might seem steep at first, but it’s well worth it for the curated services and experiences the hotel offers. We were particularly impressed with the Hotel Zeppelin San Francisco parking policy. No more circling the block in search of a spot! Valet parking was a lifesaver, especially in the bustling city of San Francisco.
The 24-hour gym was everything for us fitness enthusiasts. The state-of-the-art equipment, including free weights, a boxing dummy, and cardio machines, allowed us to maintain our routine even while traveling.
We also appreciated the bike rental option. As we mentioned earlier, exploring the city on two wheels is a fantastic way to see the sights and get some exercise. Finally, there’s an epic games room. There, you can find billiards, shuffleboard, and more.

Food galore
If you’re impressed with the amenities and rooms at Hotel Zeppelin, you’ll be impressed by its dining options, too! Zeppelin Café, the hotel’s lobby coffee shop, was our go-to for a quick breakfast or a mid-morning pick-me-up. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and the coffee was strong enough.
For dinner, we loved heading to PLS on Post, the hotel’s new restaurant. The atmosphere was lively and the burgers were amazing. We tried the Classic American Smash burger and it was one of the best burgers we’ve ever had. The fries were crispy and the shakes were thick and creamy. The extensive selection of craft beers and spirits was also a big plus.
