Universal’s Loews Royal Pacific Resort
11
Yes, Universal’s Loews Royal Pacific Resort is nearer to Universal Studios. However, since you’re in Orlando, you may as well visit Disney World, which is only 10 minutes from the hotel. We’ve always wanted to take our dog with us to Orlando. Thankfully, we found this resort, which was comfortable and fun for him and us. When we arrived at the hotel, he was greeted by one of the staff members and was given a Loews Loves Pets kit. It included a dog bed, bowl, and toy. So thoughtful of them! Also, this hotel welcomes dogs of any size, and pet owners are only required to pay 100 USD per stay.
The room was as we expected. It was immaculately clean, tidy, and fresh. Our dog isn’t a barker, and we had zero problems leaving him in our room by himself. He was probably busy taking a nap or playing with his toys when we were having fun at Disney World and flying over the theme parks on a helicopter. Moreover, there’s a grassy area on-site, so you can always let your dog out and have fun instead of keeping them in the room all day long.

Up next on our list of the best pet-friendly hotels in Disney World Florida is the Vista Cay Resort by Millenium at Universal Blvd. 10 minutes away from Disney World by car, this resort deserves all the attention. To tell you the truth, we’re quite picky when it comes to traveling, especially when it involves our furry pal. But this hotel never disappointed us throughout our stay. The hotel accepted up to two dogs less than 35 lbs in a room. We had to pay 25 USD since we brought one dog, and it was the fee for each night. If you’re planning to stay for more than six days, you don’t have to worry, as the fee won’t exceed 150 USD per stay.
This hotel has everything you need for an unforgettable stay. One of its highlights is its clubhouse, which houses a games room and a business center. There’s also an outdoor pool and a play area for kids. Of course, we checked everything out. And since we couldn’t take our dog along, we left him in the room unattended, which was permitted by the hotel. Also, we were surprised when we found waste bags in several spots throughout the hotel, including the grassy area.

Another highly recommended hotel for those who want to visit Orlando with their pets is La Quinta by Wyndham Orlando I Drive/Conv Center. We (including our dog) were happy with our stay, and we’re sure you’ll feel the same. Just off International Drive, this hotel is conveniently located, so you can explore the best Orlando has to offer, including Disney World, which is only a 12-minute drive away. And when it comes to the pet policy, it welcomes two pets of no more than 75 lbs collectively for an additional fee of 25 USD every night.
Unlike some hotels, we were shocked that the pet-friendly rooms at this one are available on the upper floors. Though we didn’t have any problem with this, it’s better for you to know this beforehand. Also, we appreciate the kindness of the staff. After check-in, they showed us the on-site pet relief area. There were doggie bags, too, which was nice. Furthermore, they told us we could leave our dog in the room without supervision. Our dog surely had a lot of fun. He spent most of his time exploring the room and playing with his dog toys. The best part was that we found a well-maintained dog park about 10 minutes from the hotel.

Best Facilities. When we were searching for pet-friendly hotels near Walt Disney World Orlando, we discovered Universal’s Loews Portofino Bay Hotel and decided to contact the hotel. Once they told us they welcome pets of any size, we decided to give it a try. Little did we know that it was one of the best decisions we’ve made during our trip. When we arrived, the staff was very welcoming and gave our four-legged friend a special treat and bowl. Talk about bribing our beloved dog! The staff also told me about the walking area, which allowed our pet to be himself without any restrictions.
We only have one pet, but you can bring up to two pets to this hotel. And when it comes to the fee, this hotel requires you to pay an additional fee of 100 USD for your entire stay. If you’re staying for a while, we don’t think it’s that expensive. Not all rooms here are pet-friendly. The ones that welcome pets are the Bay and Garden View Rooms on the ground floor. We chose the one that offered us views of the garden. It was big, clean, and didn’t smell bad at all. We also left our pet in the room when we were pampering ourselves at the on-site Mandara Spa. After all, it’s one of the best spa hotels in Orlando! But if you leave your pet alone, you won’t get housekeeping service.

Rosen Inn, Closest to Universal

If you also want to check out Universal Studios, you should consider booking a room at Rosen Inn, Closest to Universal. The name says it all! Going to Disney World is also easy from this hotel. We weren’t the only ones who had a great time staying here. Our furry friend was welcomed with belly rubs and a hug once we arrived at the hotel. He was allowed to stay in our room for an additional fee of 15 USD per night. You should note that it’s the fee for each pet, though, and one room can only have two pets. We were paying cash, and we also paid a 50 USD refundable deposit.
We were glad that we were assigned to the rooms on the lower floors. Because of the convenient location of the room, we were able to easily take our dog to the on-site grassy area whenever he needed to take care of his business. By the way, don’t forget to bring your pet’s vaccination records. While some hotels may not require them, this one does. Also, unfortunately, cats aren’t allowed on the property. Psstt! Since there are five different restaurants on-site, make sure to check them all out. Don’t worry; you can leave your little one in the room as long as they’re not noisy.

La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Orlando International Drive North

It took around 13 minutes for us to reach Disney World from La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Orlando International Drive North, making it a favorite hotel Orlando pet friendly near Disney among travelers. We stayed at this hotel for a night, and we were glad we did. It was extremely friendly to our dog. As with many other hotels, it welcomes two pets for an additional fee of 20 USD every night. After talking to the staff, we found out that the fee was not to exceed 40 USD per stay. Better yet, the hotel didn’t care how heavy our furry one was.
Some of you may be a cat owner, and lucky for you, this hotel welcomes them, too. As long as they’re well-behaved and don’t destroy the furniture, there’ll be nothing to worry about. We once left our dog crated in our room because we wanted to try out the swimming pool and check out the nearby restaurants. Luckily, the hotel management didn’t mind us leaving our fido there. Last but not least, we love how there’s a grassy area on the property. It can be hard looking for one when we’re traveling, but this hotel makes everything much easier.

Best Location. Everything about our stay at the Drury Inn and Suites Orlando Near Universal Orlando Resort was nothing short of amazing. From our check-in, everything was hassle-free. The staff at the desk was super kind and played with our dog. The hotel allows two dogs per room, and they should be under 80 lbs. Since we only have one dog, we didn’t have any problem. For the pet fee, we paid 50 USD per night. We knew pets weren’t permitted in the public areas, so throughout our stay, we made sure to keep him leashed or inside the carrier.
Furthermore, I love how this hotel provided us with waste bags. It’s so thoughtful of them, especially considering many pet parents may forget to bring them. Aside from being only a short drive away from Disney World, this hotel is also near the Orange County Convention Center. There are also free amenities to make your stay enjoyable, including free breakfast, snacks, and drinks. Oh, there’s also a theme park shuttle.

Best Hotel Without Pet Fee. Among all of the pet-friendly hotels in Disney World Florida, Aloft Orlando Downtown is a standout as it doesn’t require any pet fee. We knew beforehand that it was a pet-friendly lodging, but we truly didn’t expect it to be that welcoming. When we arrived, the front desk staff was super friendly. They gave our dog a special bed, a bowl, a special welcome package, and, best of all, a few belly rubs. During check-in, we also saw another traveling baby with two dogs. When we asked the staff, they told us that the hotel welcomed up to two dogs per room, but they shouldn’t weigh more than 50 lbs.
One of the things you should remember is not to leave your pup in the room unattended, as it’s not allowed. Thankfully, there are many parks in the vicinity. Thanks to its convenient location, we were able to bring our dog to the potty easily. Want to know more about the hotel facilities? There are plenty of things to keep you busy. Those who want to have a friend competition can play billiards with their friends. Or, you can also go work out in the fitness center. Oh, by the way, cats aren’t allowed at this Downtown Orlando hotel.

Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area

While there are many comfortable pet-friendly hotels in Orlando, Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area has a special place in our hearts. Based on our experience, this hotel sure knows how to handle pets. After looking at the pictures of the hotel on the website, we immediately knew our dog would love its spacious rooms and pet-friendly amenities. The hotel charged us a daily pet fee of 50 USD. And if you’re wondering, the hotel only allows two pets per room, and their combined weight shouldn’t exceed 80 lbs.
Throughout our stay, we had our fido leashed all the time. We never had any problem as he’s housebroken, and we brought our vaccination records with us just in case. Our days at this hotel were truly enjoyable. Our room was immaculately clean, and every staff was so nice to us and our dog. We also love the breakfast and dinner here. Plus, there’s free alcohol as well. If you’re coming to Orlando with your pet, we highly recommend this place.

Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando

Best Value for Money. Only a 15-minute drive away from Disney World is Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando, a 3-star hotel that offers 5-star service to every member of your family, including your furry one. We were truly excited to be staying at this hotel with our dog. It welcomed our buddy with open arms without weighing him. Yes, this hotel doesn’t care how small or big your pet is. Talk about inclusivity! We did, however, have to pay an additional pet fee of 15 USD every night. But honestly, it was cheap and worth the extra fee. In addition to that, we also paid a 50 USD refundable deposit in cash.
One of the most important things for you to note is that you must bring your pet’s vaccination records. During check-in, we were required to show them, and we were relieved as we always brought them with us. When it comes to the facilities, there’s a lot to enjoy on-site. You can spend your time in the video game room, making a splash in one of the three outdoor pools, or work up a sweat in the fitness center. And while you’re doing that, you can leave your pet crated in the room. When it’s time to play with them, there are grassy areas around the hotel.

Best Overall. Conveniently set within the gates of Disney World, JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa is one of the most sought-after hotels in Orlando, especially for families with dogs. Before we booked the hotel, we called to confirm their pet policy. In the end, we were thrilled as we were able to bring our Fido with us by paying a one-time fee of 150 USD for up to two pets. The great thing about this hotel is that it doesn’t only welcome dogs but also cats. No more leaving your furry friends behind.
Speaking of the policy, you should make sure that your four-legged companion doesn’t weigh over 40 lbs. And as long as you can keep your pet well-behaved, you’ll have nothing to worry about. While we were there, we were actually surprised to see plenty of dogs on the property. Some were even playing with each other, which also allowed the owners to make new friends. Though pets aren’t allowed in some of the hotel’s public areas, like the pool area and the gym, you can leave them unattended in your room as long as they’re created. Our dog certainly had a lot of fun, especially since the hotel knew how to pamper him by providing him with a plush dog bed!
