Belo Residence

Belo Residence is all about maximum convenience. It offered us everything we needed and more. From the complimentary, fast Wi-Fi that allowed us to stay connected easily to the daily housekeeping that kept our space spotless, our stay was low-stress. We also loved the dedicated laundry service!
Our room was a perfect escape from Cap-Haitien’s heat, thanks to the fantastic air conditioning. Stepping out onto our private balcony for morning coffee was a daily ritual, and having a stocked mini-bar and flat-screen TV for unwinding was a big plus, too. They provided all the necessary amenities, like complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer, making it feel like a truly luxurious home base.
The best surprise, however, was the shared kitchen. It was modern and kept pristine by the daily housekeeping, turning cooking into a fun, social event. We grabbed local ingredients and often ended up chatting with other guests while prepping meals around the communal island.

J&G Villa Hotel

Our stay at J&G Villa Hotel was highly enjoyable right from the start, all thanks to the 5-star staff members. Stephanie at the front desk provided genuinely kind service to us all the time. Her accommodating nature really made us feel instantly welcome.
For downtime, the year-round outdoor pool was perfect. It was well-maintained with plenty of space for both relaxing and sunbathing. And when we were starving, the on-site restaurant was a fantastic choice, serving up truly delicious seafood and Caribbean cuisine.
We booked the Queen Room, and the best part was the incredible convenience of having our own kitchen. This well-fitted space included a refrigerator, an oven, and a coffee and tea maker, giving us the flexibility to easily prepare our own meals when we didn’t feel like going out. Talk about convenience!

Allamanda Hotel

We originally planned just a quick trip to Haiti and booked only one night at the Allamanda Hotel. We loved it so much, though, that we immediately extended our stay, turning our quick stop into a three-day trip. It was simply the best stay ever! For a hotel in Haiti, the experience we had went far beyond the norm to make our time memorable.
What stood out the most to us was the great service and convenient offerings. We started every morning with a free, full breakfast. For logistics, the hotel provides affordable transport to and from the Port-Au-Prince International Airport, and they also offer rental cars for a minimal fee. These thoughtful services ensured our stay was completely stress-free and easy to manage.
The location is a major benefit, too. The hotel is situated in the heart of Petionville but manages to feel quiet, away from the city’s usual noise. Moreover, security was no issue for us. We always felt completely safe during our entire stay.

It’s hard not to be impressed by Auberge Villa Cana in Vaudreuil. The hotel is situated within a lush jungle, giving it a secluded, otherworldly feel. The location also allows easy access to outdoor activities like horse riding, hiking, and visiting nearby beaches.
The convenience of the on-site amenities was a major plus. The hotel features a restaurant that offers authentic local cuisine, along with two great bars. And with two huge outdoor pools, we were able to swim first thing every morning. We also appreciated the focus on cultural experiences, which included temporary art galleries and engaging nightly entertainment. There was always something going on.
We stayed in the suite and found it even bigger than expected. It gave us total comfort with air conditioning, a dedicated dining area, a seating area with a leather couch, and even a small oven. The walk-in closet was the perfect final touch, making our extended stay completely hassle-free.

Le Plaza Hotel

This was our second visit to Le Plaza, and honestly, it just keeps getting better! Checking in was fantastic; the staff was kind to us, offering warm welcomes and making us feel at home. The grounds were beautifully maintained and lush, making it impossible not to relax. Plus, the pool was spotless, as usual, and visibly cleaned first thing every morning.
Furthermore, our room was cleaned to perfection every day, and we enjoyed many delicious meals at the hotel restaurant. While the cost is high compared to American standards, the high standard of the cuisine always justifies it. We highly recommend the steak in coffee sauce. It was a standout, and we also loved the creole chicken. The dining experience alone makes the trip worthwhile.
In summary, the consistently warm welcomes, spotless rooms, and excellent dining confirmed why Le Plaza remains our favorite getaway. It’s a genuinely high-quality experience every time we visit. We loved every minute and actually don’t mind having a third visit!

Marriott Port-au-Prince Hotel

Best Chain Hotel. The Marriott Port-au-Prince, located in Turgeau, has all the glamour and scale we expected from this brand. It’s a huge, full-service hotel in Haiti that comes with every amenity you could wish for. We loved starting our day with the amazing complimentary breakfast, and having two excellent on-site restaurants means quick and easy dining for any meal.
The accommodations are fantastic, featuring amazing views and private terraces. We loved enjoying our fruity drink on our terrace! We also liked the beautiful interior design that used relaxing, earthly tones and vibrant, colorful decorations. Plus, if you’re traveling with a pet, just be sure to ask when booking so you can arrange for your furry friend to stay.
Beyond the rooms, the hotel provides a well-equipped fitness center and comprehensive meeting facilities. If you’re an adventure lover, you’ll find an array of activities available on site or in the surroundings, including some really great hiking. It’s a complete package of style, comfort, and fun.

Satama Hotel

Best Views. We loved our stay at Satama Hotel, which is high up in the mountains near Cap-Haitien’s Carénage area. The elevated location provided us with truly stunning, comprehensive views. From the hotel, we could see the entire sprawl of Carénage City, the vast blue ocean, and the surrounding mountain ranges all at once.
If you’re wondering about beach access, Rival Beach is the closest option for sand and surf. However, we found it easy to just stay at the hotel for swimming and sunbathing. Satama has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool and an expansive terrace, which is perfect for catching some rays and enjoying a refreshing dip without needing to travel off-site.
We booked the Superior Double Room, and it was a great choice. It was modern, stylishly decorated, and featured the same fantastic city and sea views. It effortlessly served as a comfortable and stylish base for our entire trip.
“When it comes to location and views, Satama Hotel leaves none to complain about.”

Hotel Villa Therese

Hotel Villa Therese is an absolute gem with a perfect location for exploring both the uptown and downtown areas. The very second we arrived, we were struck by how pristine and immaculately maintained the grounds are. It truly felt like stepping into a beautiful, peaceful oasis.
Inside, the rooms are exceptionally comfortable and easily match any exclusive, upscale hotel we’ve stayed in. The service, though, was what truly set this hotel apart. It went beyond our highest expectations. Monique, at the front desk, was incredible and seamlessly handled our every need. Crucially, the hotel is also super safe and secure, allowing us to completely relax.
For amenities, the pool is adequately sized and, most importantly, very clean. Don’t miss the cocktail bar, where the excellent bartender is extremely skilled at making Haitian rum punch. It’s a definite must-try.

What’s so special about Hotel Montana? A lot of things! First of all, the staff members were so polite, friendly, and helpful. Our check-in was a breeze. On top of that, the hotel’s location in Petion-Ville is a major plus. We felt safe, comfortable, and centrally located. This spot is an ideal home base because we were close enough to explore the major surrounding cities without sacrificing our peaceful retreat.
A big highlight for us was the stunning outdoor space. The swimming pool offers views overlooking the most beautiful tropical mountains. The on-site restaurant is located on a gorgeous outdoor terrace, which often hosts romantic dinners, themed nights, and live music events. Speaking of which, breakfast is free, and make sure to try the rum raisin ice cream! It was the single best we’ve ever had.
If you’re traveling with a partner, we highly recommend booking the one-bedroom suite. It had stunning artworks and colorful pillows. The extra space and spacious balcony also truly enhanced our experience. You won’t regret spending your nights here!

Suites la Colline

Best Beach Hotel. Suites la Colline is situated on a hill in the Cacor area, and the setting is genuinely fantastic. You get great views of the Caribbean Sea from up there, and the hotel is completely surrounded by nature. We felt the experience was definitely worth the money for the location and the quiet atmosphere alone. It’s a nice getaway spot if you’re looking to disconnect from everything for a few days.
Getting down to the beach was easy, as it was just a simple downhill walk from the hotel. The beach itself has that lovely, soft white sand, and the Caribbean Sea is perfect for swimming. We spent plenty of time just sunbathing! And if that’s not enough for you, the front desk can arrange walking tours, or you can head out and go hiking in the local area.

The rooms at Suites la Colline are also equally appealing. They’re colorful and decorated with local crafts and art, giving them a lot of character. We stayed in the Suite Dany Laferriere, which was a comfortable space with two queen-sized beds and a nice private balcony.

Hotel Royal Oasis

Best Location. If you want to stay somewhere central and modern, we highly recommend Hotel Royal Oasis in Pétion-Ville. It’s located in a great spot with views of the capital, Port-au-Prince, which made it easy for us to get our bearings and enjoy the surroundings without even trying.
Food-wise, the hotel made things really easy for us. There are two restaurants on-site, so we bounced between Mediterranean dishes and shared tapas depending on our mood. We also spent a lot of time by the outdoor pool. It has wide sun terraces, making it arguably the most relaxing spot on the property. Don’t forget to take a sip at one of the two bars, too!
Moreover, our Superior Room checked all the boxes: clean, modern, and kept simple in a way that just works. We had a flat-screen TV with plenty of channels and, thankfully, great air conditioning, which made a huge difference on hot days. On top of that, the rooms at this hotel can fit anywhere from two to four people, so it’s flexible whether you’re coming as a couple, family, or group of friends.

One of the best places for travelers to stay in Haiti is Cap-Haïtien, a historic coastal city on the northern coast. The city is famous for its colorful art scene, handmade crafts, and beautiful gingerbread-style buildings. Beyond its creative charm, Jacmel is also home to natural wonders like Bassin Bleu, a series of turquoise waterfalls tucked into the mountains.
Finally, there’s Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s bustling capital and cultural heartbeat. While it’s a busy urban center, it offers access to museums, galleries, markets, and a variety of accommodations for different budgets.
