Thompson Denver, by Hyatt

Alpine comfort and urban cool come together in the form of Thompson Denver, by Hyatt, which is Colorado’s first location from the Hyatt lifestyle brand. This offbeat business hotel boasts more than 10,000 sq. ft of meeting, ballroom, and pre-function spaces surround the striking oversized fireplace. What’s more, they’re all well-designed with modern, state-of-the-art equipment, and a variety of configurations, with the largest space measuring 3,717 sq. ft. Plus, they even have a culinary team that crafts seasonally inspired F&B menus that cater to the taste and need of your business team.
“We’ve stayed at other Thompson hotels too, but the Denver one made our workcation all the better!”
WOW Travel
The rest of the hotel was equally impressive, especially since it’s also home to Michelin chef Ludo Lefebvre’s first foray outside LA, Chez Maggy. Besides that, the Thompson also has the Reynard Social Lounge, an excellent and hospitable staff, tons of eco efforts, and 216 amazing rooms and suites.

Renaissance Denver Downtown City Center Hotel

Best location. The Renaissance Denver Downtown City Center Hotel has an excellent location if you’re looking for best-located places to crash on your Denver business trip. Sitting in the heart of Denver’s financial district, the hotel sits in what was formerly the building of the Colorado National Bank, and is one of Denver’s most iconic structures. Plus, the Colorado Convention Center is a five-minute walk.
The business side of the hotel is impressive, to say the least. With 4,282 sq. ft. of total event space, this Renaissance outpost has 6 event rooms and 5 breakout rooms, with the largest event space featuring a capacity of 300 people. That, combined with modern technology, excellently curated menus, and an excellent staff resulted in our first company conference being a runaway success.
However, we wouldn’t want you to get too tied up in work, though – you’ll want to take advantage of the “Renaissance Navigators.” These well-trained and handy folk gave us tips on the best places in the city to impress clients, get some R&R, and also the best places to eat.

Let’s get down to business at the Kimpton Claret Hotel, the second Kimpton property on this list. What makes this Kimpton outpost so amazing is that this hotel was perfect for all kinds of travelers, including work-from-home getaways, workcations, and those on traditional business trips and conference goers. If there’s one place that gets “bleisure” (business + leisure) right, it’s this one.
This Kimpton hotel offered more than 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including a ballroom and an indoor/outdoor event terrace. So, they had the ideal setting for any event that anyone wants — and then some. While the bulk of their meeting space was on the second floor, it had access both via an elevator and a grand staircase rising from the lobby. What’s more, they range in size from a 12-seater boardroom to a 3,000+-sq. ft ballroom. Did we mention that the ballroom even has an adjacent 2,000-sq-ft terrace? Yes!

The Curtis

As creatives, we’re always on the lookout for offbeat and unique business hotels that would fit our needs rather than the usual cookie-cutter offerings. Behold The Curtis, a funky property in the Hilton Doubletree line. In fact, CN Traveler hailed it as one of the country’s best business hotels, and it was easy to see why. One of the chief reasons is their supposed philosophy that all travel, even business travel, should never be boring.
We were blown away by this “pop-culture themed” Downtown Hotel which was also just a stone’s throw from the top things to do in Denver. Despite its offbeat-ness, it did feature all necessary business amenities, including 28,000 sq. ft of versatile and vibrant event space, which included everything from high-tech meeting rooms to even outdoor spaces for alfresco get-togethers. These included 15 conference rooms with capacities of 280 people (400 with theater-style seating), all of which had access to a dedicated #StayHappy team and a Sales Squad. If that wasn’t enough, there was also complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a business center, versatile decor, catering options, and even same-day dry-cleaning and laundry. Did we mention that all spaces had non-boring names of childhood games like “Patty Cake” and “Duck Duck Goose”” Yep!

One of the best hotels in Denver is also one of its best business stays, the elegant and historical The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa. This iconic 1892-built Downtown Denver hotel offered the most luxurious setting for our conference. We were able to take advantage of the nearly 20,000 sq. ft of meeting space encompassing 18 discrete spaces. Besides being specially designed for an elevated experience, they all had A/V and web casting facilities, video conferencing abilities, internet access hubs, and high-speed Wi-Fi. This was besides a full-service business center, a conference service manager for every function, and excellent catering services. In fact, they have very detailed perks packages for when rooms are booked in bulk as well.
The rest of the hotel was no less impressive, with digs featuring mod-cons and timeless décor, three fine dining restaurants that would certainly go a long way in impressing clients, a spa, afternoon tea in the atrium, and proximity to many of the city’s top attractions.

We were intrigued by The Oxford Hotel which also features on Conde Nast’s list of the best business hotels, and we were most impressed. The historic hotel offered a more distinguished business travel experience, given its architectural charm and the inimitable staff that made us feel like a million bucks.
The beautifully restored LoDo hotel boasted more than 8,000 sq ft of meeting space across 7 spaces ranging from boardrooms to ballrooms. What’s more, these versatile meeting spaces could host anywhere between 10 and 250 guests in a variety of set ups, along with A/V equipment, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and more. Of course, there’s also a team of experienced event planners that guided us through the process, helping us with everything from vendor recommendations to curating catering menus.
If you’re staying here, you can take advantages of not just the comfy digs but also services like newspapers, in-room coffee and breakfast, discounts at the onsite spa, and the courtesy Cadillac Escalade car service.

Located in the heart of Downtown Denver’s CBD, the Four Seasons Denver is perfect for those who like a healthy dose of luxury on their business trips, just like we do. This ultimate business destination does excellently on R&R and luxury amenities, with the special highlight being the year-round jacuzzi and outdoor pool, complete with greenery and cushioned daybeds. It even has a massive and decadent spa and an equally huge fitness center overlooking the pool area. If you want to impress your clients, head straight to the onsite fine-dining steakhouse. It not only boasts three glass-enclosed private rooms but also choices of wines by the glass and stellar kitchen views. Did we mention that the pool terrace has DJs spinning tunes on Thursdays? If you’re the cool working crowd, this is where you should be.
The business services were no less impressive, featuring 17,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. Furthermore, they also had video conferencing, AV equipment, interpretation and translation services, worldwide courier service, and — get this — even airline reservation services. So, it was just like being in our office, but only much, much, much nicer and luxurious. Even the plush digs, which are amongst Denver’s largest, are lavish, with the west-facing rooms boasting views of the Rocky Mountains.

What’s more, the amenities downstairs were excellent, like the locally sourced cuisine at the restaurant and the drinks and views at the 27th-floor Peaks Lounge. In fact, our clients were most impressed with our choice of the venue, so it was a win -win indeed. That’s not all; we were even able to get in some R&R, thanks to the indoor pool and the 24-hour fitness center. In fact, the indoor pool is one of the best hotel pools in Denver.
