Kicking off this list is The Grove Suites by Grand Aston. This hotel is located in Jakarta’s Golden Triangle, and the location is certainly hard to beat. We were able to visit Kota Kasablanka with ease for some retail therapy and have a quick trip to the iconic National Monument.
The hotel also has extensive amenities for business travelers. The seven meeting rooms, including three large ones capable of hosting up to 20 people each, and the grand function room for larger conferences of up to 100, seem perfectly suited for any event. Knowing that all the necessary meeting facilities are available is certainly a plus for anyone traveling on business.
The services and amenities didn’t disappoint either. We were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks upon arrival, a lovely touch that immediately made us feel valued. Moreover, the complimentary afternoon tea, coffee, and cakes were a delightful treat we looked forward to each day. We also appreciated having access to the well-equipped fitness room and the inviting outdoor pool.

Moreover, the meeting facilities stood out to us. We hosted a small conference there, and the selection of meeting rooms was fantastic. With 15 different rooms to choose from, we easily found the perfect space for our group. The state-of-the-art technology and equipment available made our presentations run seamlessly, and the staff was absolutely amazing.

The Alila SCBD Jakarta is exactly what you need for a productive and comfortable business trip. The location in the middle of the SCBD was absolutely what we wanted. Everything we needed for our meetings and other business engagements was easily accessible, which made our time incredibly efficient.
We also appreciated the hotel’s focus on blending business with modern style. We were especially impressed by the meeting spaces. Imagine holding a meeting in a space that feels more like a contemporary art gallery. It’s bright, modern, and with direct access to the Pool Terrace and the unique Catwalk Pool.
Beyond the practicalities of business, the Alila SCBD also offered some great ways to unwind. ARTOTEL Thamrin Jakarta
8
The ARTOTEL Thamrin Jakarta is a breath of fresh air, literally and figuratively. It’s impossible to miss the hotel; its location right on Thamrin Avenue is prime, and the striking graffiti by Darbotz is a real head-turner. From the moment we walked in, we were immersed in a unique art-focused experience. Each floor boasts its own distinct artistic theme, and the way they showcase local artwork is both creative and unexpected.
Yep, this unique hotel is also a great venue for meetings. We were 100% in awe with the MEETSPACE meeting rooms. As we were traveling for business, having stylish and well-equipped spaces for our meetings was essential. The fact that they can accommodate up to 150 people is awesome, and the location on the lobby and mezzanine floors made them easily accessible.
Dining was also a highlight. ROCA (Restaurant of Contemporary Art) offered a delicious menu with local flavors and a contemporary twist. It was great to have a 24/7 dining option, especially when we arrived late. And for a nightcap, BART, the rooftop bar, was the perfect spot.

DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro

The DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro is easily a top contender for business travelers in Central Jakarta. We were looking for a hotel that could seamlessly blend work and relaxation, and this hotel delivered on both fronts. Located in the Cikini area, it’s a convenient base for conducting business in the city.
What really stood out to us were the exceptional facilities geared towards business needs. We were particularly impressed by the variety of meeting spaces available. The pillar-less Makara Ballroom is truly impressive, offering a grand space for larger events. Beyond that, the eight meeting rooms, all with the benefit of natural light, provided perfect options for smaller, more focused discussions. Having options like Makara Square and Makara Garden for outdoor events is also great, offering a refreshing change of scenery.

Searching for a bespoke hotel experience in Jakarta? We can’t recommend the Kemang Icon enough. As the name suggests, this hotel is in Kemang. It’s surrounded by a mix of restaurants, cafes, art galleries, and stylish boutiques, making it the perfect base for exploring this exciting part of the city. Being in South Jakarta, it’s also close to the T.B. Simatupang business district, which was a big plus for us.
One of the things that stood out was the hotel’s focus on creating unique spaces for meetings, events, and special occasions. We were given a tour of the meeting rooms, and they were truly elegant and lavish, perfect for making a lasting impression. The library with its boardroom facilities was also a sophisticated and practical option for smaller gatherings.
While the hotel has just one restaurant and bar, The Edge, it certainly makes the most of the space. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the rooftop, taking in the stunning views, and it was also the ideal spot to unwind in the evening with a drink. Although a dedicated gym wasn’t available, we didn’t miss it too much. The breathtaking 53 ft infinity-edge pool, also located on the rooftop, more than made up for it.

Where to Stay in Jakarta
If you’re visiting Jakarta for work, chances are you’ll want to stay in the Sudirman Central Business District, also known as SCBD. This is the heart of Jakarta’s business world, with numerous corporate headquarters, embassies, and upscale hotels. You’ll be in the midst of the action, minimizing travel time for meetings and conferences.
The next area to consider is Thamrin, which is another major business hub. Thamrin is known for its modern skyscrapers, luxury hotels, and high-end shopping malls. It’s also well-connected to public transportation, making it easy to get around. However, similar to SCBD, it can be pretty expensive to stay here.
We also recommend Kuningan. A growing business district, Kuningan offers a mix of office buildings, embassies, and residential areas. It’s a good option if you want to be close to the action but not necessarily in the most hectic part of the city.
