We chose to stay at Los Naranjos mainly because the location was so convenient for us. It’s right across from Plaza Malvinas and has a clear view of the Beagle Channel. Being only a short drive away from the airport and near the Martial Glacier base made getting around Ushuaia pretty effortless for us.
The rooms here are nothing but luxurious, and they don’t have those unnecessary frills. We had reliable free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and a safe for our gear. Some of the rooms overlook the water, and they do offer room service if you’re too tired to head out after exploring.
For the extra perks, the hotel has a wood-paneled restaurant and a TV lounge that give off a classic, rustic vibe. You can even take advantage of the on-site fitness center and dedicated ski storage, which is a huge perk if you’re here for the winter season.

The Wyndham Garden Ushuaia Hotel del Glaciar is halfway up the hill toward Glacier Martial. Despite that, it’s impossible to miss the city. Even when we were out on a boat in the harbor, that bright green roof stands out against the landscape. The whole place has a massive, oversized log cabin or ski lodge vibe. Everything about the layout is huge and spacious, giving us plenty of room to breathe.
Our room was the King Loft at 80 sqm (861 sq ft). We had a full lounge area, plenty of space for entertainment, and a big bathtub to relax in. We also really appreciated the breakfast spread included with the stay. There’s enough variety that you’re bound to find something you like.
One thing to keep in mind is the location. If you want to go anywhere other than the glacier, you’re going to need a car or a taxi to get into town for dinner. That said, we highly recommend the walk up the hill to the glacier from the hotel. It’s some seriously good cardio, and the views from up there are even better than from the room.

Best Secluded Luxury. If you want a secluded stay, take a look at Cumbres Del Martial. This is a cozy mountain lodge about 7 km (4.34 miles) outside of Ushuaia. It’s tucked away in the forest and has some pretty incredible views of the Beagle Channel. One thing to know is that there’s no central heating, so we had to keep the fireplace going ourselves. Luckily, they provided plenty of wood, and having the fire crackling was actually a huge part of making the place feel comfortable.
The setup in the cabins is great for a low-maintenance trip. They all have well-equipped kitchens, and the best part is that you don’t even have to do the dishes. You just leave them in the sink, and the staff cleans them the next day. Our cabin even had a private spa tub with a view, which was amazing. We also used the barbecue area despite the snow. As travelers who aren’t exactly used to grilling in a winter wonderland, it was a pretty cool and unique experience for us.
For food, the breakfast buffet is solid, featuring fresh croissants and glazed cakes (just a heads-up that things like scrambled eggs cost extra). We also spent some time at the on-site tea house for some fresh cheesecake, and the restaurant serves a great Patagonian lamb paired with local wines.

Looking for luxury four-star hotels in the middle of Ushuaia? Check out Hotel Canal Beagle! This hotel is right on the main avenue, which made our whole trip a piece of cake. We had tons of restaurants and shops right at our doorstep. Plus, it’s just a short, easy walk to the pier where the boat tours take off.
We also enjoyed the breakfast here. The buffet had a great variety, and the view from the breakfast room was legit. It’s a pretty cool way to start the morning. The staff was also super attentive and polite across the board. A special shout-out goes to the guy working the cafeteria in the afternoons, as he was incredibly kind to us and really made the place feel welcoming.
One of the best perks, though, was the heated pool and jacuzzi. In a place as chilly as Ushuaia, having a warm spot to relax is like a massive bonus that you don’t find everywhere. All thanks to the killer location, the solid breakfast, and the spa, it was exactly what we needed for our trip.

If you prioritize convenience as much as luxury, you’ll love Hotel Albatros. We were only about a four-minute walk from the Museo del Fin del Mundo, which made it super easy to check out the local history without much effort. Getting there was a breeze, too, as it’s only 6 km (3.72 miles) from the airport.
We booked the Junior Suite, and it was extremely comfortable and spacious. We had everything we actually needed, like free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and a minibar. It was nice to have the option of room service as well, especially on the nights when we just wanted to stay in and relax instead of heading back out for dinner.
The extra perks were a nice touch and definitely saved us some money. We took advantage of the free continental breakfast every morning and didn’t have to worry about the car since parking was included. The hotel also has an airy restaurant and bar on-site, plus a gym. Our favorite part, though, was the spa area. Having access to a hot tub, sauna, and massage services was the perfect way to end a day of hiking.

Fancy and comfy? That’s what you get from Cilene del Faro Suites & Spa. When we first arrived, we were immediately in awe. The lobby was full of soft sofas, a fireplace, and bookshelves. We didn’t expect it to be that cozy. Check-in was super efficient, and we didn’t have to wait long at all to get into our room.
For our stay, we went with a Two-Bedroom Suite that came with a living area and a small kitchenette. We had more space than we needed, which was amazing. The best part, though, was definitely the window. We had a great view of the bay right from our room.
The location is probably the biggest selling point. We were within easy walking distance of the city center and the port, so getting around for tours and dinner was really simple. We were also just a few yards away from the Beagle Channel and the main museums in Ushuaia. It’s a very convenient spot if you’re planning to spend your time exploring Tierra del Fuego on foot.

Best Central Location. A luxury stay in Ushuaia doesn’t always mean a stay in a remote area. If you want to be in the center of the city, you must check out Ushuaia Drake Departamentos. Even though we rolled into town late on a Sunday, the owner was super easy to reach and made sure we had all the details to get settled in without any stress.
Moreover, the location is honestly hard to beat. We were just a short walk from the main center, which meant we could hit up all the local shops and restaurants on foot without needing a taxi. Since the apartment is fully set up for self-catering, we had all the gear we needed to cook our own meals when we didn’t feel like heading out.
The layout worked out great for us, too. The bedroom had plenty of space to spread out, and there was even an extra bed in the living room if we needed it. Another highlight was the bathroom. Having a jacuzzi and a shower that doubles as a steam bath was the perfect way to defrost after a tiring day of exploring. Plus, we had our own private terrace with a nice view of the garden!

Choosing Los Cauquenes Resort + Spa + Experiences was easily one of the best decisions we made for our Ushuaia trip. We were surprised by how great the vibe was, mostly because the staff is so helpful and has such a good disposition. A huge plus is the resort’s shuttle service to downtown. It was super convenient, and we never had to worry about calling a taxi.
Aside from that, the food was also a 10 out of 10 for us. Breakfast was super complete with tons of different options for everyone, and dinner at Reina Mora was delicious. When we weren’t eating, we were drinking at the bar, which has a cool atmosphere and great music for a drink.
We also spent a good amount of time at the spa, which was excellent. The pool temperature was spot on, the jacuzzi was great, and the resort even had snacks and fruit out for us. So thoughtful, right? Pro tip: if you want to spoil yourself at the spa, go at noon or in the early afternoon to beat the crowds!

Most Peaceful. Though finding the Los Acebos Ushuaia Hotel was a bit of a challenge due to its remote location, it was very worth it. The hotel is modern, well-equipped, and sits halfway up a mountain, which gives you great views of the Beagle Channel and the surrounding woods. We actually found the place so comfortable and peaceful that we never even bothered going into downtown Ushuaia.
The location is a major win if you’re here to hike. It’s a quick drive to the National Park, and the Parque del Fin del Mundo is just up the road, offering a really nice trail up to a receding glacier. We also found it easy to jump on Route 3 to head out toward Tolhuin for some lake views, though we decided to skip the town itself as it looked a bit dodgy.
Back at the hotel, our room was clean, and the bathroom had a bidet, which was highly appreciated. We were also provided with free filtered water, so we didn’t have to keep buying plastic bottles. As for the food and service, the staff was super helpful and bilingual, which made everything easy. The restaurant serves some excellent local seafood, and the bar food is great, too. Definitely try the seafood empanadas!

Yes, staying at Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort quite a lot, but we didn’t regret it one bit. This high-end resort is only around 3 km (1.86 miles) from Ushuaia Harbor. However, the real highlight for us was the view from our room. Since the windows are huge, we had a clear look at both the mountains and the sea right from our beds. Our room was super comfortable, too, and it even had a plasma TV and a spa bath.
We also only have good things to say about the food. We started each day with the buffet breakfast to fuel up, and for dinner, we usually headed to Le Martial on-site. They do an à la carte menu with international dishes that we really enjoyed. When we weren’t out exploring, we hung out in the common areas where the free Wi-Fi is actually fast, or grabbed a drink on the terrace to take in the crisp air.
One of the best parts about this place is how much they have tucked away inside. We spent a good amount of time at the indoor pool and the hot tub, but they also have a full fitness center, a squash court, and even a library if you just want to chill. Meanwhile, the spa facilities, like the sauna and Turkish baths, are great if you need to defrost.

Best overall. Sitting at the top of the list is a hotel that’s, quite literally, at the top of the world —the Arakur Ushuaia Resort & Spa. We were treated to the most magical and unreal views of the Beagle Channel and the surrounding peaks from its mountaintop setting.
The design leans heavily on wood, stone, and floor-to-ceiling glass, so the landscape is always part of the experience. Despite being a luxury resort, it was in tune with nature. During our two-night stay, we slept in the Superior Suite. We had a canal view and loved having automated blackout curtains that we programmed to open each morning to that epic scenery. The bathroom was spacious, with both a tub and a separate shower, plus thoughtful extras like bath salts and full-size amenities. Breakfast at La Cravia was generous and delicious, with plenty of sweet and savory choices. And yes, you can even order a mate setup to start the day right.
We ended up dining at La Cravia every night because the quality was consistently excellent. Whether going for the buffet or ordering à la carte, it was on par with restaurants of that level. Still, the highlight was the indoor/outdoor spa pool. Floating in hot water while looking out over the sea and the lights of Ushuaia at night was unbeatable. No wonder Leonardo DiCaprio decided to stay here!
