Americas Best Value Inn Fort Myers
11
Kicking off this list is none other than the Americas Best Value Inn Fort Myers. This may not be the most popular or sought-after hotel in the city. However, if you’re coming with your pet, we’re sure you’ll appreciate this accommodation. Here, guests are allowed to bring up to two pets with them, and their furry friends shouldn’t weigh more than 50 lbs (22.7 kg). We brought our Chihuahua with us, so this wasn’t a problem. During check-in, the staff members would keep our pet busy while we were paying the pet fee. It was 20 USD per pet for each night.
One important thing that you should note is that cats aren’t allowed on the property. Also, we were told we could leave our pet in the room alone. However, we should make sure he was well-behaved and wouldn’t damage any furniture. Again, this wasn’t a problem for us. We, including our dog, were all smiling when we found that the hotel had a pretty big green area on the property. It was the perfect spot for us to get kissed by the sun and play fetch.

Only a short drive away from the city center, the Hyatt Place Fort Myers at the Forum is a place where dogs and their owners can have fun together. Notice how we said “dogs”? Well, that’s because cats aren’t accepted here. This hotel accepts two dogs up to 30 lbs (13 kg). We had one dog with us, and we had to pay an additional fee of 75 USD for him every night. The fee is per pet, so if you bring two pets with you, you’ll have to pay the hotel 150 USD.
We were thrilled to find that our room was set on the ground floor. Thus, it was easy for my furry pal to go outside to the pet relief area on the hotel’s right side. We were allowed to leave our pet in the room as long as he was crated. Once we put him inside his crate, we would make a splash in the outdoor pool and grab some drinks from one of the nearby cafes. And with so many parks in the vicinity, we had so much fun exploring Fort Myers with our dog by our side.

Best Western Airport Inn

Not everyone needs to stay at those pet-friendly hotels near Fort Myers Beach, Florida. If you have an early flight to catch, check out this hotel! We were pleasantly surprised by how good the Best Western Airport Inn was. From check-in to check-out, every moment we had there was enjoyable. This hotel accepts two pets (cats are allowed) up to 80 lbs (36 kg), and there was a pet fee that we had to pay, which cost us 30 USD per night since we only brought one dog. We were glad that we were assigned the room on the ground floor since our dog could sometimes be a messy eater and needed to go to the relief area often.
Unlike some lousy pet-friendly hotels, our room didn’t smell at all. It was clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly big. We were also relieved to hear that we could leave our pet unattended. That allowed us to have a much-deserved quality time on our own. Of course, we wouldn’t leave our dog starving. Before we left him, we had prepared his favorite snacks in the disposable bowl given by the hotel.

Howard Johnson by Wyndham

Are you ready for another recommendation? Take a look at Howard Johnson by Wyndham! The main purpose of this hotel is to help you create memories with your loved ones, including your pet. We’ve been here before, and we did make some great memories. This hotel welcomes small pets up to 20 lbs (9 kg) for an extra fee of 20 USD per pet, which you must pay per night throughout your stay. We’ve asked the staff members, and they told us cats are also allowed on the property. A win for cat owners!
We chose to stay in the non-smoking King Room, and it was honestly better than we thought. There was a desk, chair, and a bathtub that allowed us to relax our minds and bodies. Though we weren’t allowed to leave our Chihuahua in the room alone, that was never a problem as we could take him to the grassy area on-site. And if you don’t mind walking a bit further, you’ll find several spots around the vicinity where you can sit down with your pooch and even play fetch.

La Quinta Inn and Suites Fort Myers I-75

Though not the newest hotel in the area, La Quinta Inn and Suites Fort Myers I-75 is still an excellent choice. Off Interstate 75, this accommodation allowed us to bring up to two pets with us. We only had one of our Chihuahuas at that time, and we paid an additional pet fee of 25 USD for the entire stay. You should note that the fee is charged per pet. For us, the fee was pretty reasonable, and both dogs and cats are allowed on the property.
Unlike some hotels, this one doesn’t have designated rooms for pets. That’s because all rooms are pet-friendly! Because of this, we ended up staying in the King Room, which came with a bathtub. The room was big, clean, and well-equipped. We even had a bubble bath with our doggie. Then, our dog would later enjoy the dog treats given by the staff members earlier during check-in.

Holiday Inn – Fort Myers – Downtown Area

Best Downtown Hotel. If what you want is to stay in the heart of the city and enjoy all of its top attractions, the Holiday Inn – Fort Myers – Downtown Area is the place to be. This hotel welcomes both dogs and cats, and pet owners can bring up to two furry friends with them. We were told that our pet shouldn’t weigh more than 50 lbs (22.7 kg), and thankfully, it didn’t. Also, the pet fee here is relatively affordable, as you only have to pay 20 USD per night for each pet.
As one of the most pet-friendly hotels in the city, this hotel not only welcomes pets but also treats them well. At check-in, our lovely little friend was given treats and waste bags. However, we recommend bringing yours just in case. Even better, it has a wide open space on the property. It’s the perfect way to let your dog run around, have fun, and play catch. There’s also a waste station there.

Homewood Suites Fort Myers Airport – FGCU

Best Airport Hotel. In the city for an overlay and need a proper stay with your pooch? Consider Homewood Suites Fort Myers Airport – FGCU! This airport hotel is only moments away from the airport, and it also offers free shuttle services for its guests. You won’t be the one who enjoys this hotel, though. We stayed here for a night before our flight home, and it was indeed better than we expected. This airport hotel accepts up to two pets, and both dogs and cats are allowed. Such an inclusive hotel!
More about the pet policy – you should make sure your pet is less than 100 lbs (45 kg). We did pay an additional pet fee for our dog, which cost us 75 USD. However, for longer stays (more than 4 nights), the fee becomes 125 USD. During our time there, we stayed in the King Studio. It was enormous and had everything we needed, from free toiletries to a well-equipped kitchen. There’s also a modern gym and swimming pool on-site, though pets aren’t allowed there. Thankfully, you can leave them in your room, so you’re free to explore the hotel amenities.

La Quinta by Wyndham Ft. Myers – Sanibel Gateway

Say hello to La Quinta by Wyndham Ft. Myers – Sanibel Gateway, another highly recommended hotel in Fort Myers that won’t let you down. We brought one dog with us to the hotel, but turned out we could actually bring up to two pets. Better yet, this accommodation doesn’t have any weight limit policy for your pet, so large breeds are also allowed. However, we did pay an additional pet fee, which was 25 USD per pet for each night. Don’t worry; the fee was not to exceed 80 USD.
After check-in, we were assigned one of the rooms on the ground floor. We loved the location of our room, as it allowed us to access the grassy areas easily. And since our little buddy is well-trained and friendly, we were allowed to leave him crated in the room. Thus, we used that chance to explore the hotel’s surrounding attractions and take a dip in the swimming pool. Don’t worry; we didn’t leave him for too long as we also missed him a lot. Flamingo Inn

Best Value for Money. Looking for the ideal hotel in Fort Myers that welcomes your four-legged family member can be challenging. Luckily, there’s Flamingo Inn. This down-to-earth inn welcomes up to two pets, both dogs and cats. We were happy to know that the staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. Aside from letting us know the nearest pet-friendly spots, they also gave our dog a few belly rubs. We also paid an additional pet fee of 25 USD for our dog per night. However, if your pet is heavier than 25 lbs (11 kg), you’ll be charged 50 USD per night per pet.
Our guestroom was nothing short of comfortable. Though far from fancy, we had a good night’s sleep there. However, the highlight of this inn has to be its outdoor picnic area. It was cozy and well-maintained. Of course, we often spent our time with our dog there. After all, nothing beats seeing your favorite animal running around, wagging his tail, having the best time of his life. Best of all, this is one of those pet-friendly hotels near Fort Myers Beach, Florida!

Hilton Garden Inn Fort Myers

No matter where you go, you can’t go wrong by staying at Hilton Garden Inn. And when visiting the City of Palms, we’re sure you and your furry friends will love the Hilton Garden Inn Fort Myers. We had a blast throughout our stay at this hotel. Its amenities were top-notch, and the staff members were also so kind, even to our doggie. When we arrived, we immediately registered our dog at the front desk and paid a pet fee of 75 USD per night. In case you’re wondering, this hotel accepts both dogs and cats. Plus, you can have two pets with you at max.
We stayed in the King Room, which was more than big for us as we didn’t have much stuff. Our dog had so much fun running around and playing with his toys. Of course, while we were there, we had to take advantage of the hotel’s amenities, like the pool and fitness center. So, once our fido was tired, we would put him inside the crate and let him take a nap while we did our thing. Last but not least, there are tons of parks in the hotel’s vicinity, and some of them welcome dogs.

We also had to pay an additional pet fee of 15 USD per night, which was actually cheap compared to others.
“Aside from offering pampering amenities for humans, this hotel also knew how to spoil our dog. The location was perfect for us, and we enjoyed every single minute there.”
WOW Travel
We were lucky that our dog was super obedient, as we all know some Chihuahuas can go off the deep end. Because of that, we were able to leave him in the room alone and enjoy our time in the pool. Don’t worry, as the hotel provided us with a pet bowl and dog food, so our dog won’t be left starving. Whenever he needed some fresh air or to go to the toilet, we would take him to one of the on-site grassy areas. Best of all, we discovered a pet-friendly beach not more than a five-minute walk from the hotel!
