And since we had our four-legged buddies with us, we had to spend our nights in some of the best pet-friendly hotels in Flagstaff Arizona. There are so many great accommodations out there, but the ones below are our favorites as they have easy-to-follow pet policies and our dogs enjoyed their time there. Whether you’re looking for a budget-friendly option or a fancier stay, you’ll find the one that’s perfect for you from the list below!

Comfort Inn I-17 & I-40 Flagstaff

The Comfort Inn I-17 & I-40 Flagstaff is the first option we want to show fur parents. Right off the highway, this is such a good pet-friendly place. It has plenty of grassy areas on the property for the pups, and we were able to walk our dogs in the morning during our stay. For those wondering, this hotel accepts up to two pets of any size on its property. Yes; cats are allowed, too! However, you have to pay an additional fee of 40 USD per night like us.

After check-in, we immediately went into our room and had a quick rest. We were really tired, but thanks to the plush bed and cool air-con, we were able to sleep like babies and woke up ready for all the adventures. Honestly, our room wasn’t that big. However, it was so cozy that we didn’t even really notice its size. Most importantly, our dogs had a lot of fun there. Since we weren’t allowed to leave them alone in the room, we would spend our spare time watching our favorite shows while cuddling them on the sofa.

Residence Inn by Marriott Flagstaff

Looking for a place to call home in the downtown area? Look no further than Residence Inn by Marriott Flagstaff! This is the perfect base for you and your pet, mainly because of its unmatched location. Set in the bustling downtown, it was easy for us to discover the pet-friendly restaurants and spots in the area. Not to mention, the staff was helpful and more than happy to recommend some of the must-visit spots near the hotel.

The pet policy at this hotel is easy to follow as well. It welcomes two pets of any size for an additional fee of 100 USD. The fee covers the entire stay, so you only have to pay once. During our stay, we also encountered many cats. So, if you’re a cat owner, feel free to bring your furry pal here. We were assigned a room on the second floor, and it was honestly bigger than we thought. The best part? We could leave our pets behind in the room and have a quick workout session in the gym before taking them to the park across the street.

Hilton Garden Inn Flagstaff

Want to stay near the top attractions Flagstaff has to offer? Then you’ll probably want to stay together with your furry friend in Hilton Garden Inn Flagstaff. This hotel is conveniently located only a short drive away from some of the city’s major attractions, like the Painted Desert and Grand Canyon National Park. Its favorable location isn’t its only strength, though, as this hotel is also popular for its hospitality towards pets.

When we arrived, we were welcomed with smiles and dog treats. We brought two pets with us, and the hotel allowed that as long as our pets weighed no more than 75 lbs. We were only staying for a night, so we paid an extra pet fee of 50 USD for each of them. However, those staying for over four nights will have to pay 75 USD. By the way, the fee is for each pet. Once we were done unpacking our stuff, we all took a quick nap in our room. It was so comfortable that all of us ended up sleeping longer than we planned to.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Flagstaff

One of the problems that traveling pet owners often encounter when staying at pet-friendly hotels is smelly rooms. Luckily, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Flagstaff puts hygiene at the top of their priority list. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was not only clean but didn’t smell at all, considering we saw many travelers with their dogs. Even our room smelled fresh when we first entered it. And you don’t have to worry, as the rest of this hotel is also amazing.

Unlike many other hotels, this accommodation only accepts one pet, and it shouldn’t weigh more than 75 lbs. We did pay an additional pet fee, and it cost 75 USD for the entire stay. Also, guests with pets are assigned one of the pet-friendly rooms on the first two floors. We were glad that ours was on the first floor, so we could access the small grassy area on the property more easily. Plus, since we were allowed to leave our pets in the room for a while, we had the chance to pamper ourselves! We used that chance to take a dip in the swimming pool and check out the modern fitness center.

GreenTree Inn Flagstaff

With spotless rooms, friendly staff, and a reasonable pet fee, there’s no reason not to like the GreenTree Inn Flagstaff. We’ve stayed at so many Flagstaff, Arizona, pet-friendly hotels, and we think this one is one of the best. Dogs and cats are both accepted at this hotel, and this alone already makes it a better choice than many of its competitors. We had two dogs with us, and since both of them were less than 30 lbs, they were allowed to stay in our room. We also paid a reasonably priced pet fee of 20 USD per night for each of them.

Sometimes, it’s hard to do certain things when you’re traveling with your furry friends. Lucky for us, the hotel made things easier! We were allowed to leave our pets in our room for a while, giving us enough time to explore the non-pet-friendly areas near the hotel. Don’t worry, as we didn’t leave them for too long. Once we were back, we would take them to the on-site pet relief area behind the hotel. And if you want, you can explore the many parks in the hotel’s vicinity.

Sonesta ES Suites Flagstaff

Best Pet Amenities. Another great addition to our list of the top Flagstaff, Arizona, pet-friendly hotels is Sonesta ES Suites Flagstaff. We only stayed here for a night. Even so, we could tell how good the hotel was. From the moment we entered the hotel, we were welcomed with impeccable hospitality. The staff at the front desk was friendly, and there were other staff who kept our dogs busy. In total, we paid an additional fee of 75 USD. The fee was for stays of one to seven nights. However, if you’re here for more than a week, you’ll have to pay an additional cost of 25 USD per week.

The highlight of this hotel is none other than its Pets Are Welcome at Sonesta (PAWS) program. So, what does it offer? With this, our dogs were given cozy dog beds, dog bowls, waterproof mats, and healthy treats. All of them were given during check-in, so our dogs could immediately enjoy them once we were in our room. That said, our room was nothing short of comfy. To add, it was bigger than we expected. Last but not least, there’s a pet walk area in the hotel, and you can get waste bags upon request.

Best Western Pony Soldier Inn & Suites

There are so many reasons why we think the Best Western Pony Soldier Inn & Suites is a nice choice for travelers with pets. First, let’s talk about the pet fee. During our stay, we brought two dogs with us, and the hotel staff didn’t check their weight. Yep, this hotel welcomes dogs and cats of any size! But what surprised us the most was the fact that we only had to pay an additional pet fee of 25 USD for the entire stay instead of per night. If you’re in the city for a while and looking for an affordable choice, this is the one.

Only selected rooms in the hotel are pet-friendly, and most of them are located on the lower floor near the grassy area at the back of the hotel. Our room wasn’t the biggest, but it was certainly clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. Even our dogs loved to take a nap there. Occasionally, we would take them to the grassy area to let them do their business. Then, before ending the day, we would explore the nearby pet-friendly spots recommended by the staff.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Flagstaff

Best for Long Stays. After doing some research, we decided to stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Flagstaff, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve made this year. This hotel allowed us to bring two of our dogs as long as they were under 30 lbs. Both dogs and cats are accepted on the property, and there’s an extra pet fee that pet owners have to pay. Honestly, we didn’t think the fee was pricey. We paid 75 USD for each of our pets, and the fee was for the entire stay, so we only had to pay once.

Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to leave our dogs unattended in our room. Thankfully, we could always bring him to the small grassy areas surrounding the hotel. There was one time when we even went to the nearby forest and played fetch with them there. With plenty of green areas and clean air when we were there, we think we spent most of our time outdoors. It was such a shame as our room was super cozy. Not that we’re complaining!

High Country Motor Lodge

Another Flagstaff hotel that’s dog-friendly that we’d love to recommend is the High Country Motor Lodge. The highlight of this lodging is none other than its grassy areas. There are tons on the property, making it the perfect place for pets. When we first arrived, all we saw was grass. With grass everywhere, we had plenty of chances to let our dogs run and stretch their legs. We think it’s safe to say that they had so much fun while we were there.

Our stay was nothing short of comfortable. During check-in, we were informed about the pet policy. Like many other hotels, this one accepts up to two pets. Plus, their combined weight shouldn’t be over 75 lbs. There’s also an additional pet fee you have to pay, which costs 100 USD per stay. Thus, we think this is a better choice for travelers who plan to stay in the city for a while.

La Quinta by Wyndham Flagstaff

Best Value for Money. No matter where you go, you can always rely on La Quinta. And when in Flagstaff, you should consider booking a room at La Quinta by Wyndham Flagstaff. This is such an amazing place to stay with your pet. When we were there, we found three different pet areas that led us to the trails. It was perfect since we were in the mood to get some walks in together with our four-legged buddies. In addition to that, you can also find waste bags spread throughout those pet areas, so you don’t have to worry if you forget to bring yours.

Another reason behind the hotel’s popularity is its generosity. Unlike some pet-friendly hotels in Flagstaff Arizona, this one accepts cats, too! Aside from that, you don’t have to worry about your pet’s weight as this hotel accepts two pets of any size. We were also shocked by the pet fee. Since we were staying only for a night, we only had to pay 25 USD. Planning to stay for a long time? The fee won’t exceed 75 USD per stay.

Drury Inn & Suites Flagstaff

Best Overall. Considering its amazing location and flawless pet amenities, we think it’s only normal for us to put Drury Inn & Suites Flagstaff on top of this list. Set next to the NAU campus, the hotel’s surrounding area is perfect for walking your dog. We were also happy that our dogs could walk together with us inside the hotel in the designated areas. Plus, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. They even showed us some of the top pet-friendly spots in the vicinity.

Here, guests can bring up to two pets with them. Aside from dogs, cats are allowed, too. Our dogs’ combined weight was less than 80 lbs, so they were accepted without much trouble. We also paid an additional pet fee of 50 USD plus tax every night, but it was nothing compared to the services we received. The hotel provided us with dog bowls and waste bags, and we could easily take our dogs to the on-site pet relief area since our room was on the lower floor.
