We were looking for the perfect destination for our romantic getaway, and what better place than New Orleans? NOLA, as it’s fondly called, was the perfect place to heat up the romance between us, as every nook and cranny of this historic city brimmed with romance and passion. From history and music to artwork and nightlife, there were innumerable places to explore and memories we created with our partner. What’s more, the many choices for romantic hotels in New Orleans with jacuzzi in room topped off what was the perfect fairytale vacation.

From stylish boutique hotels and traditional luxurious ones to charming historic B&Bs in the French Quarter, we had no dearth of options. But what bound them all was the fact that they all came with indulgent jetted tubs right in the room. While some were jacuzzi tubs, others were whirlpool ones, all of them big enough for the both of us. After all, there was little that was better than slipping into the warm bubbling waters after a day of sightseeing on our feet. So, what are you waiting for? Roomza New Orleans at Melrose Mansion

Best boutique hotel. We begin with the Roomza New Orleans at Melrose Mansion, which was our gateway to the French Quarter. This hotel is an estate with 3 nearly 200-year-old mansions, all of them exuding timeless charm. What’s more, these historic mansions have been thoughtfully restored into luxury boutique hotel rooms, and that too just steps from the French Quarter. The rooms and suites here were rather spacious for a historic mansion, but our favorite was the king bed balcony room. That’s because it even had a jacuzzi tub in an alcove right off the bedroom, with the bathroom being further along. Plus, it even offered views of the pool from the lovely balcony and had a plush bed and a minibar.

Did we mention that this Roomza hotel had an actual pool in the courtyard? Yes! One of the city’s deepest pools, the serene oasis was fringed with umbrellas, daybeds, walls, gates, and a lush landscape. What’s more, our days started with delicious complimentary Southern buffet breakfasts in the Pool House Lounge. Moreover, the hotel even offered snacks and non-alcoholic beverages that kept us indulged and refreshed all day long.

Best Western Houma Inn

The Best Western Houma Inn lay on hour away from New Orleans in the serene little town of Gray. Since this was a Best Western property, we were assured that we’d get neat and clean choices for accommodations, but what we ended up getting was a lot more. Firstly, all rooms and suites at this Best Western outpost were immaculate and came with seating areas, coffee machines, and private, modern bathrooms. However, some units, including ours, even came with a jacuzzi tub right in the room. It was large enough for the two of us, allowing us to relax and unwind in the very confines of our own room.

That’s not all. The hotel even had a business center, a fitness center, a shared lounge, and free private parking, which was a blessing since we’d rented a car. What’s more, our days began with continental buffet breakfasts, and there were even vending machines with drinks and snacks available.

Maison D’Memoire Bed & Breakfast Cottages

We realize that the Maison D’Memoire Bed & Breakfast Cottages are two hours from New Orleans, but they made for the perfect weekend break from exploring the city. Award-winning hospitality in Cajun country aside, we loved the tranquil setting of this romantic Louisiana getaway.

All four of their romantic Louisiana cottages were atleast a century old and have been lovingly restored to their prior glory. Our Country Garden Cottage had the plushest king bed ever, a full kitchen to cook meals, and lovely windows. However, what we loved the most was the indoor jetted spa tub, which lay in its own private alcove just off the bedroom. So, it was neither in the bedroom nor in the bathroom, allowing us to spend some quality time with our beloved. A charcoal BBQ pit and a private propane firepit wrap up the amenities.

Did you know that this inn has a whole bunch of romantic getaway packages? We chose the “S’mores & Sparks Package,” which came with skewers use during our stay, a s’mores kit, keepsake signature wine glasses, and a bottle of wine. What more could we ask for?

The Inn on the River

There’s something utterly romantic staying in a quaint place overlooking the Mississippi River, and The Inn on the River in Donaldsonville was just that. It lay just an hour from NOLA and was perfect for getting away from the bustle and yet staying close by. This 16-room boutique hotel in the equally historic Donaldsonville sat within a remodeled 112-year-old department store. So, it was as historic as it got, but with all modern amenities that we wanted. We especially loved the suites with the king and queen beds, which had a gorgeous clawfoot tub large enough for two people. However, it wasn’t in the bathroom, but rather in the room itself. It sat on a separate tiled space right in the room, and it even had a privacy curtain!

This is one of the few inns we’ve seen that had an in-house restaurant. Moreover, it offered all meals, including the most sumptuous breakfasts ever. Finally, they also had an outdoor grill, a vending area, and free onsite laundry facilities.

Magazine Mansion

In the middle of the leafy neighborhood in the Garden District with cool and laidback cafes, antique shops, and elegant mansions sits the Magazine Mansion. It’s one of the romantic hotels in New Orleans with jacuzzi in room, as was evident by our Deluxe Suite with a hot tub. Our suite was massive, with a separate sleeping space and even a kitchenette with a kitchen island. We could cook romantic meals and enjoy them right there. However, the standout was the back patio, which had a gorgeous, huge jacuzzi tub large enough for the two of us. When the weather was nice, we’d slip into the bubbling waters and soak our sore muscles. The best bit? It even had a BBQ grill and alfresco seating for us to enjoy our romantic holiday.

Even though our inn was all about the rooms, the rest of the inn was great too. Thanks to the free Wi-Fi, we were able to plan our itinerary in advance. A sun terrace with BBQ facilities and an excellent staff round up the amenities here.

Hyatt Regency New Orleans

If there’s a chain hotel that’s even remotely romantic in NOLA, then it would be Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Located in the Central Business District, it’s one of New Orleans’ best business hotels; and also, one of the largest. After all, we had the choice of nearly 1,200 rooms and suites, all of which were decked out in contemporary-chic decor and calming neutral hues with splashes of cranberry or sapphire. Besides the usual iPod docking stations, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, flatscreen TVs, and plush Hyatt beds, we loved the Presidential Suite. It was one of the more affordable ones we’d seen, but its highlight was the in-room jacuzzi tub. The design was actually unique, as the tub was open to both, the room and the bathroom. How cool is that!

The rest of this shining Hyatt outpost was no less amazing, especially the heated outdoor pool with a sun terrace and bar where we’d swim, lounge, and order drinks Besides the onsite fitness center, there’s also a business center, but the three restaurants that served everything from Spanish and Creole to sushi and seafood were just the ticket. Did we mention the Starbucks on the property? Yep.

Historic Michabelle Inn

We wanted to stay away from the bustle of the city, and yet not too far away. That’s why we chose the Historic Michabelle Inn in the quaint town of Hammond, an hour away from New Orleans. Radiating early 1900s architectural elegance in Colonial Revival-style, this refined Hammond inn was just the tranquil getaway we were hoping for.

All rooms and suites at this inn were more spacious than we’d ever seen in an inn. What’s more, they all transported us back in time sans sacrificing any modern comforts. Our huge room boasted not only a king bed in a romantic theme but also a massive Jacuzzi bath for two right in the room. It was set in a private alcove, giving us privacy for when we ordered room service. If you’re looking for something more spacious, the cottage suites with inviting porches and separate living areas are perfect.

Staying here isn’t just about “staying;” it’s about the entire experience. The ground floor had three fireplaces where we’d sip glasses of wine and mingle with fellow guests. Moreover, the lushly landscaped extensive grounds were our favorite and were our serene escape to spend some alone time with each other.

Best Western Plus French Quarter Courtyard Hotel

Best value-for-money. It’s hard to imagine a mid-level chain hotel to be romantic, but the Best Western Plus French Quarter Courtyard Hotel managed to break all such myths. Firstly, we were well-placed to explore the French Quarter while also being just a 10-minute walk from Bourbon Street. However, the hotel was equally impressive on the inside too, complete with French Quarter décor. While all rooms were extremely spacious with flatscreen TVs, plush beds, and luxurious bathrooms, our premium room even had a spa bath right inside the room! So, we could enjoy a romantic break after a long day of walking around the French Quarter.

We appreciated the rest of the hotel and its amenities as well, like the seasonal outdoor pool. Since we were here at the start of summer, we could enjoy a languorous swim, especially after that huge continental breakfast spreads that we’d dig into every morning. When the weather was nice, the outdoor patio with fountain views was great to hang out. Or we’d sip on drinks in the cocktail lounge. A fitness center winds up the facilities here.

Fleur De Lis Mansion

Best B&B. We were looking for an offbeat B&B as opposed to a traditional hotel in NOLA, and the stylish 1824 townhouse that was the Fleur De Lis Mansion. Featuring a touch of rock’n’roll hedonism to it, this historic mansion B&B had just nine individually themed rooms. So, staying here was a very intimate and exclusive experience. What’s more, what we loved was that there were several room options with in-room jacuzzi tubs. These included the Fleur De Lis suite and the White room, and we chose the latter. Aside from the industrial-meets-chic aesthetic, it was the huge soaking tub at the foot of the bed that drew us to it. It was just what we needed to add some spark to our romantic NOLA vacation. Did we mention the mirrored ceilings and the hedonistic vibe? That’s why it’s one of the best hotels in New Orleans with hot tub.

That didn’t mean that the rest of the hotel wasn’t impressive, because it was. The lush courtyard had a decadent 12-person hot tub and a shared outside kitchen to cook meals and mingle with people. Moreover, it even had a projection TV and a barbecue pit, ideal for relaxing. Oh, and we’d start our days with full signature breakfasts and unwind in the relaxing spa room too.

Omni Royal New Orleans

Most luxurious. Old-world grandeur comes to the French Quarter in the form of Omni Royal New Orleans, a hotel fit for modern royalty. The Omni Royal New Orleans is one of the neighborhoods more elegant stays, with the white-marble exterior giving off an 1800s vibe, with magnificent chandeliers, gilt mirrors, columns, and whatnot. We had many choices when it came to rooms and suites, but our choice was the jacuzzi king suite, whose special feature was the hot tub right in the room. It sat in one lovely corner, just steps from the bed, right next to the living space. So, we didn’t have to move around a lot even while relaxing in the whirlpool tub with a glass of wine and our partner in tow. A coffee/tea-maker, soft robes, a luxurious bathroom, and a balcony with amazing views of the French Quarter made our stay here.

We had the choice of as many as five fine dining options, of which the Rib Room was excellent, and it even had a bar and served drinks. However, the rooftop La Riviera bar was our absolute favorite, as we’d sip cocktails with spectacular views of the French Quarter and the Mississippi River. It was also where the rooftop outdoor pool lay, where we’d swim and lounge and relax in each other’s company. We even chose the “Romance Offer” package, which came with sweet treats, a bottle of sparkling wine, and even late checkout.

Hotel Peter and Paul

In the heart of NOLA’s boho Marigny neighborhood, a former 19th-century convent, rectory, schoolhouse and Catholic church have been reborn as Hotel Peter and Paul. On the outside, the distance between Downtown was perfect; we could explore easily and stay in tranquility. On the inside, we loved the discreet and evocative conversion which resulted in a romantic-to-the-hilt space. Think original features like a redbrick exterior, decadent fabric, stained glass windows, etc.

The rooms and suites are spread across four structures, with the apostolic chic extending to them too. Think tons of antiques, gingham chairs, drapes, four-poster beds, and even antique fireplaces. Since we were on what was our second honeymoon, we stayed in “The Rector’s Repose,” which was the closest thing to heaven! A king bed, floor-to-ceiling windows, custom Italian linens, a flatscreen TV, and bespoke bath products made this place a romantic haven. However, the cherry on top was the limestone bathtub right next to the bed and outside the bathroom, behind a set of red drapes. After a long day, we’d both spend time soaking in the tub. Another great room with an in-room jacuzzi? The Classic Convent rooms.

Although the room was as cozy as it got, we did leave our abode to get some drinks at the rectory-turned-Elysian Bar. Besides classic cocktails, coffee, and wine, we digging into the small plates. If there was ever a theatrical place you wanted to stay at, this is it.

NOLA might not be as spread out as other major state cities like NYC or even Los Angeles, for that matter, but it does have many cool neighborhoods. So, we needed to decide where we wanted to stay when we were visiting this city, and you need to do that too, depending on what you want to do.

For first-timers, we’d highly recommend staying in Downtown NOLA. Not only were most of the top things to do in New Orleans around, but it was also home to the French Quarter, one of the city’s most famous neighborhoods. The historic French Quarter is one of the top tourist attractions in the USA and is all about stunning architecture, numerous historical landmarks, and even carriage rides! It might be one of NOLA’s noisiest and liveliest places, but it’s a well-rounded neighborhood at that.

Secondly, there’s the gorgeous Garden District, which is home to the famed Mardi Gras festivities, one of the world’s best carnivals. Even though we weren’t in the city for Mardi Gras, this quaint neighborhood was perfect for walking around and absorbing the city’s vibe. Finally, there’s the Central Business District, or CBD. It lay just across Canal Street from the French Quarter and extended into the Warehouse District. It was a low-key residential neighborhood but is now home to many cultural institutions. Today, the hip atmosphere is everywhere, with trendy bars and restaurants, and concert halls.
