A safari tour of Georgioupolis will take you to the sources of ancient Cretan myths and traditions. And of course, there are countless places to relish authentic Cretan cuisine. - La Brasserie – Cool drinks by a talented mixologist are among the hallmarks of this gay cafe/bar in Heraklion. Karaoke nights, condom parties, and dance shindigs are some of the events that make this one of the hottest places in town.
Just So You Know:
- Some gay-friendly destinations frown on extreme public displays of affection by heterosexual and LGBT couples alike. Best to practice discretion and save the PDAs for later in a more private area.
- Same-sex marriage is not legal in Sint Maarten. LGBT couples with Dutch nationality need to go to the Netherlands if they want to get married.
