Think you’ve experienced the best beach holiday? Think again if you haven’t been to Sunny Beach. We were blown away by this resort town, with its 8 km (4.9 miles) of golden sand and all the right ingredients for an amazing beach vacay. But here’s the catch we quickly noticed: Sunny Beach is home to over 800 hotels with more than 300,000 beds, so not all of them are created equal. A low price tag can mean compromising on quality, while prices that are too high can hurt your wallet. That’s exactly why we put together this list of the best hotels in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. From ultra all-inclusive resorts to charming boutique stays, we’ve narrowed it down to options we would actually recommend. Ready to explore the best places to stay? Keep reading!

Noma Boutique Hotel
11
Our first recommendation is the Noma Boutique Hotel. This hotel is located on a quiet street, far enough from the party scene that nights were blissfully peaceful, but close enough that we could be in the heart of Sunny Beach in about a five-minute walk. The promenade, restaurants, and beach were all right there when we wanted them, without any of the late-night noise following us back.
Aside from the great location, we were also pleased by the staff. Everyone we interacted with was warm, patient, and genuinely interested in making our stay comfortable. Walking into our Standard Double Room, we were greeted with a lovely fruit basket and a bottle of champagne. So thoughtful! The room was spotless, with a surprisingly spacious shower, a comfy bed we slept great in, and air conditioning that didn’t sound like a jet engine.
Moreover, we also loved the breakfast, especially the made-to-order omelets. And during our downtime, we could relax by taking a dip in the pool or having a massage at the spa center. If you want easy access to Sunny Beach without sacrificing quiet nights and good sleep, we happily recommend it.

Hotel Residence Dune

It didn’t take long for us to fall in love with Hotel Residence Dune. The location is fantastic, especially with the hotel’s private beach. It’s such a win in a busy resort area. On top of that, check-in was smooth, the staff explained things clearly, and paying at reception was easy.
This hotel is all about relaxation. Whenever we had time, we would take a dip in the pool, enjoy the sand and sea all day, and wind down with a massage. Want some me-time? Book the Double Room! It’s a great value for money. Ours was bright, modern, and super comfortable.
What else? Well, families with kids will be thrilled knowing that the hotel also offers a free playground for kids, which is a nice bonus. And since indoor smoking isn’t allowed, this place is even more family-friendly. Finally, late check-out can be arranged for free!

Harmony Palace

Harmony Palace is everything you hope it would be, and possibly more. We stayed in one of the cozy studios, and everything was designed to make life easy. A kitchen for quick meals, a balcony for slow mornings, and best of all, soundproofed rooms. We’re talking zero noise from the sea or neighboring rooms. The bathroom situation? Totally covered. Fresh towels, toiletries, slippers, robes, and even a hairdryer were already waiting for us.
Food and drinks were another highlight of our stay. We loved starting our day with breakfast at the cafe. It was simple, convenient, and set the tone for a chill morning. Later on, we gravitated toward the pool bar, where cocktails and drinks were always dangerously within arm’s reach. When we wanted peak relaxation mode, we slipped away to the on-site hammam and hot tub.
And for those days when we wanted to balance out all that lounging, Harmony Palace had us covered. The fitness center is small but free and fully equipped, so getting a solid workout was never a problem. Even better, they offer fitness classes, which were so fun.

Smartline Meridian Hotel
8
We have to say, Smartline Meridian Hotel was even better than we expected. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay that doesn’t feel bare-bones, this place is it. The Double Rooms are just the right size for couples or even families with two kids, and every single one comes with a balcony.
Now, let’s talk about the pool, because it’s mind-blowingly massive. There are tons of sun loungers, so no awkwardly circling the pool waiting for someone to finally move their towel. We loved that there were volleyball nets in the water, too, which instantly turned lazy afternoons into fun, social hangouts. When we needed a break from the sun, we popped into the entertainment room for billiards, table tennis, and darts.
That’s not all! We could also freshen up at the salon or barbershop before heading out for date night, grab a last-minute souvenir from the gift shop, and then enjoy those rooftop restaurant views. And thanks to the Irish Pub and Pizzeria, the pool bar, and all the dining options, we never had to go far for good food or drinks.

Best Western PLUS Premium Inn

Best Budget. The Best Western PLUS Premium Inn is the perfect place for travelers who want it all without the hefty price tag. If you’re traveling as a couple or with family, this hotel checks every box. Between the on-site restaurant and the water park next door, it’s like one of those stays where you barely need to leave to have a great time.
We booked the Deluxe King Room, and it was bright, modern, and surprisingly spacious. Honestly, having a balcony made a big difference. Not to mention, the suites come with one automatically. Morning coffee outside? Yes, please! Furthermore, the en-suite bathroom came stocked with free toiletries, which made unpacking easier.
One of our favorite details was the super affordable private parking on-site. Families will also love the dedicated kids’ pool, while adults can sip creative cocktails at The City’s bar or grab tasty bites from The Pot’s buffet.

Hotel Neptun Beach

While there are so many great hotels in Bulgaria Sunny Beach, Hotel Neptun Beach is a standout. Once we saw that stretch of golden sand and the ridiculously blue water out front, we knew we had made the right call. We practically lived on the beach during our stay.
Even though the hotel is big, it somehow keeps a laid-back, resort-style vibe. There’s a total mix of rooms, studios, and apartments. One of our favorite surprises was the green garden area, which is a nice contrast to all that blue. Most afternoons, we were either on the beach or dipping in the outdoor pool. Don’t forget to grab a drink from the pool bar, too.
Food and chill time were on point as well. We loved having multiple dining options, especially the garden restaurant for relaxed, open-air meals with music setting the mood. When we wanted to fully unwind, the spa area was our go-to. Think Jacuzzi sessions, sauna and hammam breaks, plus a kids’ pool for families. Moreover, handy extras like on-site currency exchange made life so much easier.

Harmony Suites Grand Resort

Best Value for Money. A great vacation doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Just take a look at the Harmony Suites Grand Resort. This is a comfortable beach hotel that fits any travel style with ease. Whether you’re coming with friends, traveling as a couple, or doing a solo escape, the apartment options give you flexibility without sacrificing comfort.
Our apartment was a total win. Fully furnished, thoughtfully laid out, and packed with all the things you don’t realize you miss until you have them. Yes, we’re talking about the mini kitchen! We also had a fridge for cold drinks and a washing machine that saved us mid-trip. Of course, the balcony became our go-to hangout spot for morning coffee and late-night wind-downs.
Then there’s the outdoor vibe, which was the cherry on top. Lush gardens surround the resort, making it feel like a little seaside oasis. Even after a day on the beach, we still couldn’t get enough of the pool area. You’ll find plenty of sun loungers there. Families will love the playground for kids, while everyone else can soak up the calm, relaxed energy.

Blue Pearl Hotel
4
We’re always on the lookout for easy, feel-good beach stays, and Blue Pearl Hotel checks all the boxes effortlessly. This 4-star resort sits right on the beach, which allowed us to roll straight from breakfast to a sun lounger without a plan. Bonus points for the umbrellas at every lounger, because soaking up the views without getting completely fried by the sun is a win in our book.
Room options here are refreshingly flexible. Traveling as a couple? The Double Rooms are comfy and just right. Coming with friends or family? The One and Two-Bedroom Suites give you space to spread out and still feel connected.
What stood out the most to us, though, was how bright the rooms feel. Everything is clean, airy, and thoughtfully kept, making it a joy to come back after a beach-filled day. And trust us on this one: if you love sipping coffee or wine outdoors, choose a room with a balcony when booking. It’s the perfect spot to slow down, take it all in, and remind yourselves why you booked this trip in the first place.

Barcelo Royal Beach

You can’t go wrong with Barcelo Royal Beach, especially if you’re looking for a hotel that already handles everything for you without any additional cost. The hotel looks fantastic. The foyer is massive, bright, and buzzing, and the front desk made us feel welcome straight away. First impressions really do count, and this place absolutely nailed it.
Heading up to our room, we were still smiling. It was a really cozy and spacious room, perfect for switching off. The bed, though? Unreal. Super comfy, and we slept brilliantly every night, which is always a win on any trip. Not to mention, our room gave us the view of the pool, so we always knew when the right time was to take a dip.
Speaking of which, the hotel boasts three pools, ample space to relax, and a great pool bar that kept things lively during the day, with plenty of sunbeds to go around. Wi-Fi was solid everywhere thanks to multiple networks, which made life easy. One surprise highlight was the sports bar in the basement. The food impressed us, too, with lots of variety and some seriously tasty chicken dishes in rotation. And for anyone who loves a bit of retail therapy, the on-site shopping mall with 99 shops is definitely worth diving into.

HVD Club Bor
2
Best All-Inclusive. If you love our previous pick, you’ll love HVD Club Bor even more. Claiming to be an “Ultra All-Inclusive” property, one can’t help but be intrigued by this place. We have to admit, though, we were impressed. Everything felt seamless, from the attentive service to the seriously inviting outdoor pool. Picture this: a huge round pool, rows of sun loungers, drinks in hand, and zero stress. Even better, the Wi-Fi worked everywhere, so yes, we were posting poolside stories without missing a beat.
One thing we loved is how intimate the hotel feels. With just 55 rooms, it was never too crowded or chaotic. That said, our room came with a well-stocked minibar for snack attacks and a pretty spacious balcony. There are also family rooms with four twin beds if you’re planning to bring your kids along.
And when it comes to things to do, boredom simply isn’t on the menu here. We jumped into games like billiards, darts, and table tennis, then slowed things down with their live entertainment in the evenings. Kids are more than covered, too, with a fun kids’ club and an outdoor playground to burn off energy. When we needed a reset, the spa came through with relaxing treatments and massages.
“For a stress-free, all-inclusive beach getaway, staying at HVD Club Bor is a no-brainer.”

Helena Sands
1
Best Luxury. Helena Sands isn’t just another cookie-cutter beach resort. In fact, it’s one of the most luxurious hotels in Bulgaria Sunny Beach. The first thing that we noticed when we first arrived was the architecture. The clock tower is the real showstopper, with four clocks featuring symbols from the Proto-Bulgarian Calendar, which is said to be older (and even more precise) than the Gregorian one.
We also loved how flexible the room options were. Whether you’re traveling light or spreading out with family, there’s something that fits. We booked the Maisonette, which came with a balcony. Everything was polished and elegant, very much in line with the signature Helena Resorts style.
Once we settled in, the days pretty much planned themselves. The property is huge, so expect a bit of strolling, especially when heading to the beach for warm sand, cool waves, and a casual drink from the beach bar. But trust us; it’s worth it! Food-wise, there’s plenty to choose from without ever leaving the resort. Poseidon Restaurant handles international classics, while Dolphin Restaurant is all about fresh, satisfying seafood.
