The capital of England, London, was to be the first stop on our three-week-long holiday, and we were as excited as kids on Christmas morning. Since we were 4 adults intending to stay in London for nearly 10 days, booking a stay was proving to be a challenge. Luckily, we stumbled upon the modern and chic apartments at Ferrum near Wembley Park and never looked back. For 10 days, our 2-bedroom apartment on the 17th floor of this modern high-rise was our home, and it was one of the best extended stays we’ve ever enjoyed. Spanking new, immaculately designed, and with fantastic views and an equally amazing location, Ferrum was the best base in jolly ol’ London that we could ask for. Here’s a detailed guide to how and why we chose to stay at Quintain Living by Ferrum right next to the Wembley Park stadium.

Excellent Location
When choosing a London stay, the location is very, very crucial, especially if you plan to travel on the underground. It’s important to choose the TFL Zone correctly, or you might either end up spending a lot of time or a lot of money just getting to where you want to go. Luckily, my sister had been studying in London for the previous year, and she chose Wembley Park as the perfect base for us four adults.
What made the location so amazing was that it was right next to Wembley Park Stadium, so we got to soak in the atmosphere of two matches held on both weekends that we were here. Besides being a mere 15-minute walk from the extremely well-connected Wembley Park Stadium underground station, the apartments were also surrounded by some of the best restaurants, cafes, and shopping outlets. This included not only the likes of LIDL, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Pret A Manger, but also Black Sheep Coffee, the famed White Horse, and the London Designer Outlet with brands like Nike, Levi’s, The North Face, Calvin Klein, and more. Additionally, there were outposts of well-known chain hotels all around, including Premier Inn, Ibis, and even Hilton and Novotel.
Clearly, we couldn’t have gotten a better location!

Spacious Apartment Layout
When booking the apartment on Booking.com, we chose the two-bedroom apartment since we were four adults. We were informed that the apartment floor would be assigned at random, given who would check in and check out in those days. However, we were delighted to be assigned an apartment on the 17th floor most unexpectedly. And the views from the glass-paned windows were gorgeous, to say the least.

Living and Dining Space
There is more than one reason we thoughtfully spent on a two-bedroom apartment for our 10-day stay in London, which wasn’t cheap, by the way. Firstly, we were four adults sharing a space for an extended period of stay. So we needed space besides our bedrooms to spread out, relax, and unwind – sometimes in solitude. That’s what made this apartment so special, complete with a large living room with three sofas, a flatscreen TV, and enough space to move around. Right behind the living space lay the modern, open kitchen. Not only did it have a dining bench, but it was also fully equipped with everything we needed to make proper meals. Hence, all our breakfasts in London were right in our apartment, which gave us tons of time to lounge and get ready before we had to leave for yet another day of sightseeing.

Bedrooms and Additional Amenities
A corridor led to both bedrooms and bathrooms. While the first bedroom and the bathroom sat right opposite each other, the second bedroom, the master bedroom, sat at the end, complete with an ensuite bathroom. The beds were comfy, even if they were a little too springy for our taste, and both bedrooms had ample wardrobe space to hang our clothes and even put away our smaller luggage. Furthermore, both bathrooms were immaculate and well-lit, with the detached one featuring a bathtub and the ensuite, smaller one featuring a standing shower.
The rest of the apartment was also high on comfort. At the entrance, a door led to the laundry unit, where we also found a table fan. Since most modern London apartments neither have air-conditioning nor ceiling fans, these table fans are indispensable in summer and for people who sleep hot.

A Fully-Equipped Kitchen
One of the absolute highlights of our stay at the Ferrum flats was the fully-equipped, modern, and sleek black-and-white kitchen. The open-plan layout ensured that we had space to move around, even though there was a kitchen island bench right in the center. Thanks to the window behind, there was lots of natural light while cooking, which was a lifesaver. Moreover, the bench was indispensable for stacking groceries that we’d keep buying every day. With LIDL, Sainsbury’s, and Tesco Express within a 10-minute walking distance, we found everything we wanted to make meals, drink, and dine — even wine!
What’s more, the kitchen had not only kitchenware but also appliances and a stovetop. Besides dishes, pans, pots, mugs, glasses, forks, and knives, there was also a fridge, a microwave, a toaster, a chimney, a kettle, and even an oven. Closed and open shelves, a dedicated closed space for separating waste, and a large sink made making tea, coffee, and meals a hassle-free process.

A Balcony!
Were we psyched to have access to an actual balcony in London? Hell yes! The balcony was one of the absolute highlights of the apartment. Not only did it afford particularly gorgeous views of the suburb of Wembley, Wembley Park, and beyond, but it was also a great place to enjoy our morning coffee or some peace and quiet, especially when others were still sleeping!

“Enjoying morning coffees in the balcony had become something of a staple during our 10-day stay in London!”
WOW Travel
What we also loved about the balcony was that there was a foldable clothes stand kept in the corner. It was invaluable for drying our bathing towels every day, especially since we’d shut all the windows and the balcony’s French door before heading out for sightseeing. Additionally, it was very useful when we did two rounds of laundry during our 10-day stay here!

Pros
- The apartment was very spacious, and the layout was great without any awkward corners.
- We had space to put away four huge pieces of luggage, two cabin bags, and four backpacks, besides everything else that we bought during our stay.
- The balcony was a blessing.
Cons
- Given the glass-paned windows and the lack of curtains, it could get a bit hot staying here in summer. However, there’s always a breeze blowing, the heating control is great, and the table fan is a blessing.
Conclusion
A host of mod-cons, glorious sun-kissed views of a green London suburb, and tons of space made this two-bedroom apartment at Ferrum near Wembley Park extra special. Not only was it comfortable but also it was everything we’d hoped for from an extended stay, making our 10-day stay in jolly ol’ London an absolute delight.
