We stayed at Turtle’s Nest Beach Resort for a few nights and had a really great experience. We booked a second-floor Studio Suite, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room was clean and updated, with a small kitchen, a sitting area, a flat-screen TV, and a comfortable king-sized bed. Good night’s sleep? Checked!

Every single thing at this hotel was convenient. Beach towels were already in the room, and there were free beach chairs and pool floats available, too. The resort sits right next to Straw Hat, which made it super easy to order drinks or food and have them brought directly to our chairs. You can also find several good restaurants nearby and a grocery store within walking distance.

The beach itself was a big highlight for us. The sand was soft, and the water was clear and warm. We easily floated for hours! The cherry on top: the daily 4 PM rum punch delivered to the beach. The staff also deserves a special mention. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and they even helped us arrange a last-minute car rental.

CeBlue Villas

Perfect for large groups, CeBlue Villas is another option that you must definitely check out. From the second we arrived until we checked out, the staff made everything incredibly easy. We honestly felt more taken care of here than on any other trip we’ve done. Whether we had a question, needed help planning something, or just wanted a recommendation, someone was always ready to help.

The villa had plenty of space for our group. We really appreciated having a full kitchen, a game room, and a centrally located pool that everyone used every single day. The views of Crocus Bay from every room were a huge bonus and something we never got tired of! The staff also handled a lot of logistics for us, like booking dinner reservations and walking us through the island so we knew where to go and what activities would be best for us.

For those searching for the best snorkeling resort in the Caribbean, CeBlue is a nice option. The beach below the property was great for snorkeling, and we saw lots of fish and even a sea turtle while we were out in the water. You can also rent kayaks or paddle boats right there, which makes it easy to spend the day at the beach without much planning. Having food and drinks on-site was another plus. The combination of pizza and cocktails was chef’s kiss!

Carimar Beach Club

Carimar Beach Club is a world-renowned beachfront resort, and our stay here was nothing short of memorable. It’s small, relaxed, and right on Meads Bay, which probably tells you everything you need to know.

The biggest selling point is the location. Our oceanfront room was only about 20 steps from the water (yes, we counted the steps), and being that close to the beach never gets old. You’re not dealing with crowds, wristbands, or long walks through a resort. You walk out, grab a chair, and you’re on Meads Bay.

Carimar isn’t the place to stay if you want a pool, a bar, or organized entertainment. But if you want luxurious accommodations at a fair price and easy access to an amazing beach, it’s a great option. Not to mention, the front desk staff were especially helpful during our trip and could arrange pretty much anything. We’re talking about dinner reservations, car rentals, taxis, and groceries in our room before we arrived.

Quintessence Hotel

The Quintessence Hotel is one of the top luxury Anguilla hotels with a slightly tucked-away location. Set on the northwest side of the island, we had a blast at this place. It faces the sea, with the pool and gardens spread out below. And whenever we wanted to touch the sand, it was only a two-minute walk away. Better yet, the hotel also offers golf cart rides if you don’t feel like walking back uphill.

The pool area is clearly the main hangout spot, surrounded by loungers, a hot tub, and a single cabana. When we wanted something quieter, the terraced gardens below had a few nice corners to sit and relax. There’s more on-site than we expected for a small hotel, including a tennis court, a life-size chessboard, and a stylish boutique. Inside the main building, there’s a compact gym, a spa with two treatment rooms, and a media room.

As we said earlier, this is a small hotel with only nine suites. However, that’s the charm! Each one is different and named after a Haitian artist. The garden-level suites are the most affordable options and come with outdoor space. We stayed in one of them, and ours even had a kitchenette. Meanwhile, the higher-level suites are more upscale, with private dining terraces and walk-in closets.

Frangipani Resort

If you’re into boutique resorts, you’ll most likely love Frangipani Resort. With only 19 rooms and suites, this place offers you the chance to share Meads Bay with only selected people. Not to mention, everything feels easy here. We would wake up, grab breakfast steps from the beach, and just let the day flow.

Despite being a relaxing place, Frangipani has tons of activities for guests. We loved having a tanning session on the beach, but you can also take a dip in the resort pool. One big highlight for us was Straw Hat, the on-site restaurant. Anguilla has no shortage of great food, but this spot genuinely stands out, and having it right at the resort made things even better.

On top of that, this resort has its own private boat, FrangiCat. Being able to charter it for a sunset cruise or a casual island hop made our stay extra special and exclusive. Finally, we also appreciated having access to a tennis court, a fitness center, and massage services when we wanted a break from the adventures.

Tranquility Beach Anguilla Resort

Best Service. We honestly hesitated to write this review because we were tempted to keep Tranquility Beach all to ourselves! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with a warm welcome, which set the stage for the top-notch service we experienced throughout our stay. They went above and beyond for us, handling everything from dinner reservations to fetching fresh breakfast pastries.

The beach itself is superb, featuring crystal blue water and a surprisingly uncrowded shoreline. We loved the convenience of the beach kiosk, which kept us stocked with chilled water, towels, and even plenty of sunscreen. The staff checked on us constantly to ensure we had plenty of drinks, making it easy to just relax and forget about life for a few days.

After exploring the whole island, we’re convinced this is the best location in Anguilla. We were able to walk to numerous high-quality restaurants and bars, yet the area remained quiet and free from the usual tourist crowds. There’s even a grocery store nearby for supplies, but with such incredible food in the immediate area, we felt totally taken care of.

Zemi Beach House, LXR Hotels & Resorts

You know what’s better than cool hotels? An effortlessly cool one. And that’s exactly what Zemi Beach House is all about. Set on the north-east side of the island near East Shoal Bay, it’s right at the quieter end of a long, uncrowded beach. While there are a few casual bars and homes along the shore, the six-acre resort itself feels calm and removed.

The heart of the hotel, though, is undoubtedly the Zemi Thai Spa House. A traditional wooden house brought over from Thailand now holds the spa’s treatment rooms, along with a hammam, vitality pool, yoga deck, and juice bar. Our treatments were well done and unhurried. We think it deserves to be named one of the best spa resorts in the Caribbean. Beyond the spa, the main pool is lively and family-friendly, while adults can retreat to cabanas or a quieter terrace pool with a long lap pool. Furthermore, Zemi also offers free non-motorized watersports, a gym, a tennis court, and a nicely curated gift shop.

There’s more! Every room on the property has a balcony, and based on our stay, the ocean-view category is definitely worth upgrading to. We had a Bluetooth speaker, a minibar, and a coffee setup. Our bathroom was just as flawless, with double sinks, robes, and Malin+Goetz products.

Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club

Best for Active Travelers. When we first arrived at Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club, we had to do a double-take. With its bright white exterior, smooth curves, and ocean views, it almost felt like we had landed in Mykonos. But then we noticed the rolling green hills behind us, the powdery sand under our feet, and that unmistakable Caribbean blue stretching out across Rendezvous Bay. This place is pure Anguilla magic.

As one of the best luxury Anguilla hotels, Aurora offers plenty of things to do, especially if you like being active. It’s home to the only golf course on the island, and the revamped 18-hole Greg Norman Signature course has ocean views that make even a casual round feel special. A shorter course is also on the way. Beyond golf, the resort offers everything from kitesurfing to cave tours, and we liked that kids aren’t an afterthought here either, with beginner tennis and pickleball classes built into the experience.

When we wanted to slow things down, Sorona Spa was the obvious choice. The treatments lean into ocean-inspired wellness, and each treatment room looks out over the water. We also appreciated the resort’s focus on fresh food. A lot of the produce used across the bars and restaurants comes from their on-site hydroponic farm.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla

You can never go wrong with the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla. We liked the location of this resort right away. It’s on the west end of the island, set between Barnes Bay and Meads Bay on the north coast. There were plenty of beach bars and restaurants we could walk to, so we didn’t feel the need to rent a car.

The resort has a lot going on as well. There are tennis courts, a basketball court, a climbing wall, and a state-of-the-art fitness center, plus bikes you can use to get around the property. The spa is a highlight, spread over two levels with ocean views, an infinity pool, and plenty of treatment rooms, including outdoor cabanas.

As the largest resort on Anguilla, the Four Seasons has a wide range of rooms and suites, but the overall look stays consistent no matter which one you choose. Expect neutral tones, marble floors, and subtle beachy details. Ours even had ocean views! On top of that, our bed was extremely comfortable, and we were provided with thick robes and quality Italian toiletries.

Malliouhana Resort

Most Comfortable. Malliouhana Resort deserves all the stellar reviews and the excellent reputation it has earned. Known as the “Grand Dame” of Anguilla, it’s been a favorite for decades, and after staying here, we get why. The resort is located above Turtle Cove, with the ocean just steps away. We loved to spend our downtime chilling in the infinity pool, while the kids were in their own dedicated pool.

Our days usually started with a complimentary morning workout by the pool, and once we were done, we would walk straight onto the sand at Mead’s Bay, which is classic Anguilla. Think soft white sand and clear water. Leon’s restaurant made beach days even better with simple yet addictive food. For sunsets, Turtle Cove felt quieter and more low-key, while Bobbing Cove was great when we wanted to paddleboard or kayak in calm water without dealing with crowds.

When we felt like exploring beyond the resort, we would borrow one of the retro Mokes to get around and check out nearby beaches. We also took a boat out to places like Sandy Island and Little Bay, which are only accessible by water and totally worth it. Back at the hotel, we liked wandering through the gardens and learning more about the plants using the QR codes along the paths. Meanwhile, our room was comfortable with a subtle vintage feel, and the private terrace was a great place to end our days.

Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel

Best Beachfront Resort. The location of Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, is arguably the best. Thanks to this hotel, we could sink our feet into the white sand and feel the ocean breeze anytime we wanted to. It sits right in the middle of Maundays Bay and is the only hotel on the beach, making it a super exclusive resort. It’s an easy choice for travelers who mainly want to relax, spend time on the beach, and enjoy some quality downtime.

Now, every room at this hotel gets two cushioned loungers and a large umbrella. We never had to rush out early to claim a spot on the beach. There was also an intercom at the chairs, which allowed us to order food or drinks without leaving the beach. Speaking of which, dining at the resort was amazing, but we liked that it was easy to head out and try other restaurants around the island, too. Anguilla has plenty of great options, and it would be a shame not to sample a few.

Cap Juluca also does a nice job balancing relaxation with activities. We made use of the complimentary tennis and beach volleyball courts and enjoyed the yoga sessions overlooking the water. There are also non-motorized water sports like kayaking and paddleboarding, which are included and easy to fit into the day. Just note that the hotel closes every September and October, and it books up quickly during peak periods, so make sure to plan ahead.
